Chapter 12

The ball was bright red. Monarch Flamory was flying around, thinking. "I wonder what she's planning?' said Chate. "I have no clue, probably something to do with getting past the forest. Tyla, please go tell the builder gnome to hurry up with the portal. We need to get these kids outta here!"

"But we want to fight!' protested Owen, "we want to help protect Sparklim-Sparkly-um?-SPARKLIMMAR!" "Owen, it's too dangerous!" said Mrs. Jackson, "you saw what the flamy did to Nutsy."

The queen gasped. Inside the orb, Monarch Flamory was talking to two other flamies – "I've got a plan; we need to burn the Forest down, send some of the army who are willing to die for our victory!"

The two other flamies saluted and disappeared.

"I need to go warn the werewolves!" said Zey hurriedly, and he sprinted through the library to the door. "You guys need to go!" said the queen, watching Zey leave. However, a few of the kids rejected – "Please, no!" said Rana, "Why do we have to go?" Dominic pleaded. The queen was listening to all the comments, and then said in a regretful way, "Fine."

There was a loud cheer 'But we have to get you ready. They were outside with weapon trunk, grabbing as much as possible. In one corner, the queen was practicing magic with the powered ones. Rhys aimed at the target, shot a vine out his hand, and it wrapped around the rubber flamy. He reeled it in and then stabbed it in the chest with another vine.

Carmin aimed her magic at another flamy and shot a spell at it, which caused it to freeze. Everybody was fighting the rubber flamies. There were swords slashing around, arrows flying everywhere. The rest of the Choconin Army where there. Ron and Jolyn, two pale boys, where practicing on flamies that were lit on fire.

Tyla had gone with Zey to the other werewolves and when they came back, there were more werewolves. The rest of the werewolves were all auburn haired, like Zey, and they all had yellow eyes. Queen Crystalia showed the pack to the weapon trunk and told them to grab whatever their hearts desired and start practicing.

At sunset, everyone was in the dining hall, little dryads flying around. They were all tired of practicing on the rubber flamies, but now they all were prepared. After dinner they all went up to the library and looked into the Crystal Ball. It was now screaming with rage as it showed the flamies getting ready.

"When are we going?" said one of the flamies, loudly across the room to the queen. "Early morning tomorrow. We will light the forest now. By the time it reaches Sparklimmar, it will be morning!" said the flamy queen. She then addressed a small, distressed group of flamies, "you need to go light the fire now!" "Bu - bu but I don't wanna die!" said one flamy. "I don't care," said the queen, "just go!"

"I don't want to!" said the distressed flamy, and he started for the door. "NO!" screamed Monarch Flamory.

With a blast from her horn, the distressed flamy was a pile of ash on the floor. The other flamies in the room stared in shock and the Grade Fives looking into the orb gasped. Then the good queen covered the Orb with a cloth.

"I think that's enough for now, you need some sleep if you want to help in the battle tomorrow morning."

She smiled as the kids and the werewolves left the library. They all slept well that night, as they were very tired. The Grade Fives dreamed of what it would be like to go home. They were just getting to that one good part of a dream that people always seem to miss, when they all woke up in a start. The ground was trembling and there was a big blast.
