The Strong While Always Prevail

The sudden quest tempted Kai but there was no way he could take on the shirogane clan as he is. The power display by Arthur alone is proof of that so he opted to just try and beat him.

Kai got on a lower stance while spreading slightly his arm out. He summoned the gauntlets. They materialize first on his finger and climb all the way until just before his elbows.

Kai was ready to start. Arthur had his soul weapon out already and was ready to start at any time. Kai's fingers were twitching with excitement as a stare down was happening.

Adthur was watching Kai with attention, he then darted his eyes around his environment to see if he could gain an advantage to end the battle quickly.

"He may seem like he has a lot of openings but that's not true, every spot I see is highly protected by that stupid stance," Arthur said to himself in annoyance.

But he widened his eyes as he realized something. Electricity started to come out of Arthur's body , impacting the surface of the ground and bouncing back into his body.

He felt his body tingling as the electricity ran through his body. His legs bend a little then he launches himself towards Kai leaving a scorched ground behind him from the electricity.

"Oh thunder god give me your strength to beat my enemy. Thunder Slash!" Arthur shouted slashing at Kai.

But in the blink of an eye Kai was behind him. "You're so dramatic," he said, mocking Arthur.

He kicked Arthur on the side, sending him skimming left. Kai then joined his hands and slammed them down with all his strength.

Arthur seeing this flash stepped out of the way. He appeared behind Kai, already attacking the latter. Kai looked back at him.

"You really fast but" a red Outline covered Kai's body.

"Not fast enough," Kai said, disappearing in the blink of an eye, landing a right hook on Arthur's right rib.

This sent Arthur crashing into some bushes. "Is he reinforcing his body with magic?" Arthur questioned with branches sticking out of his hair.

"Then I'll do the same" as a silver outline appeared around Arthur. His white hair stood up a little reacting to the energy. He opened his eyes and he was in front of Kai, he couldn't even blink he then went to block but it was too late.

*Boom*

Kai went flying towards a tree. "Well that hurt" he said trying to stand up but Arthur appeared in front of his point, his katana.

"Alright alright you win" Kai accepted but it was not his true intention as Arthur put down his guard.

[Fireball]

In a second the temperature around them sky rocked as Kai threw his attacker.

"Dammit you coward! Judgment!" He shouted as a thunder came out of his sword clashing against the fireball desolating it.

"You're strong but naive" Kai said

[Fire Stream]

Fire started to come out of Kai's hand in the form of a tornado. Arthur put his sword forward and shouted yet again.

"Relentless Thunder!"

Electricity shot out of the blade's tip, clashing against the fire stream. With his free hand Kai threw a fireball up.

[Fire Manipulation]

He then controlled the fireball to get behind Arthur and hit him.

[Control has increased 30%]

Seeing this Lai threw a couple of fireballs and manipulated them to attack Arthur from the back but Arthur jumped out of the way before they impacted them.

He then flashed stepped behind Kai which was predictable. Kai then went to punch him but when he was about to impact him, his hand went through him.

"What the hell?" Kai questined.

He then felt a hit on the back which was really powerful. Dragging him through the ground. Arthur then in a fit of rage stabbed his Katana on his abdomen.

"Argh" was the only sound out of Kai's mouth.

-50 Hp

Arthur was breathing heavily but he then realized what he had done. "Oh shit, I'm. What have i done"

Kai put his hand on the blade. "Wait don't move" but Kai pulled out the blade.

"That's better. It's alright, you pass. Yo" Kai claimed Arthur could see his wound close up in front of him.

Suddenly Kai felt more heavy than usual.

"How did you do that?" Arthur questioned.

"Don't mind that it's your win" Kai said as he left.

"That's fine, I can figure out a way to get more XP," Kai said.

In the dark room the man that was chained could be seen breathing heavily. But he noticed something: the chains had come loose.

"Ha, haha" he had a crazy look on his face as the cracking sound began to start. Manic laughter was the only thing that could be heard until it stopped and began to sound like growls.

Suddenly an alarm started to sound as every single door got reinforced by a thick metal door.

But the one the man was in glass could be heard break and dent began to appear on the thick metal door.

As if something was trying to come out.

It was already late so Kai decided to head to his dorm. When he suddenly got a notification.
