Inside Man

The trio was standing in front of the forced open door unsure of what to do. When suddenly Kai stepped forward heading towards the door. Kai summoned his gauntlets before taking a peek inside.

"It's clear," he said before entering.

He could see a long hallway and at the end another pair of reinforced doors that were sealed shut.

He and the other walked through the hallway until they reached the door. They tried to open it but it was too heavy for them.

"What are these made of?" As Kai asked, the system answered.

<This door is made of a special and rare mythic infused metal called: Crorium. It is said to be one if not the strongest metal ever found>

"That's why it won't open," Kai thought.

"Kai how about we go down the hallway on your right?" Darya stated.

"What hall?" Kai looked next to him. It was so dark he didn't notice.

Arthur and Kai agreed with Darya as the venture through the other hallway. The bloodlust in the hallways was through the roof as the scene in front of them left them shocked and even disgusted.

On each side of the hallway there were human-like figures but they weren't quite human. They looked to their right and saw a two head figure while one was of a dead human the other was that of a crocodile like creature. Who was trying to eat the other head.

In the left cell is a human's body that was split in the middle with a tentacle right in the middle as if it was the cause of the body being split.

"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!?" Arthur shouted in anger.

The next scene broke Darya's heart, a small girl who couldn't be more than ten was in the cell. The little girl still had her pink flower dress on. She was wandering mindlessly around the cell, half of her face was rotten and the other was normal.

Her hands were basically bone to this point, only sounds that came from her were little growls. As if she was a zombie wandering around. On the wall drawing could be seen of a house with five people including her.

Darya dropped to her knees with tears in her eyes, Kai was also shocked by this and couldn't bear seeing Darya in that state.

He put his right hand on her shoulder to let her know she wasn't alone. Darya quickly turned around and hugged Kai's torso crying. This scene really affected her.

"You were always soft behind all that front" he thought, consoling her.

Kai looked again in the cell and saw a drawing of her family being visited by a Dr and then being kidnapped.

The place was filled with different cases like this. Some had bone piercing their skin. Others had more animalistic features but it was clear that the humans inside them were dead.

Beside the cells it stated that all of them were failures.

"Wait, are these all failures?" Kai said frowning thinking that it wasn't even worth it and they killed a lot of people for nothing.

Kai didn't shy away from murder but this was too much, sacrificing even kids for nothing.

They kept moving and finally arrived at the end another pair of reinforced doors but this one was destroyed. They entered and saw a thick broken glass chain on the walls and scratches all around.

On the side of the glass, there was a digital pad that said "Successful" and then it displayed the image of the creature that Kai and the others fought outside. It showed that the power of the beast that was used was a Warrior tier this meant it evolved into a King tier.

"This is successful? A creature with the power of a King Tier with human-like intelligence. Yet it is still killing because of its rage for these people" Kai said in anger.

The other shared this feeling they too were filled with anger.

A realization set in this is too close to the academy therefore. Someone in the school must know and must be responsible for this.

"An Inside man" Kai said before falling silent

"I'll make one thing clear. Even if you don't agree I will kill this thing and I will not let them get away with this" Kai said as his eyes glowed red.

"If you're not going to help me, don't get in the way!"

He started to walk out of the underground dungeon. Once he stepped out the entrance he received a system notification.

"It's already been two hours" He said as he hurried to find and kill the abomination.

He then hears steps behind him and it's Darya and Arthur.

"I told you not to get in the way," Kai said, still running.

"We'll help you!" they said in union.

This brought a smile on Kai's face as he continued to run.

"With their help I'll be able to stop it, no. KILL IT!" Kai's eye glowed red as he dashed deeper into the forest.
