I, Horum, World Creator, will prove that two-legged beings are also beautiful.
◇
Nothing is ever boring in existence; there is always something new to discover. As a newly appointed Creator, I felt a lack of inspiration. I tried various combinations of elements, shapes, colors, and sounds, but nothing satisfied me. I was missing something fundamental, something that would make my creations truly alive.
But then, I found my muse. I saw a forest that captivated me with its greenery and diversity. I wanted to make a world like that, full of life and wonder. Ideas flooded my mind as I observed the forest. I was enchanted by our conversation.
Humans are strange beings, indeed. They walk on only two legs, even though they have four limbs. How do they balance with just that? How do they run, jump, climb, and dance? They must have incredible skills and coordination.
When I was a Sentient Being, I had six legs, and I used them all to move. I could run fast, jump high, climb trees, and dance gracefully. As a Transcendental and a Guide, I met many beings with eight legs or more. Legs are beauty! They allow for more movement and expression. How can having fewer legs be attractive? It is unbelievable!
I have made up my mind. I will create humanoid beings from now on. I will give them two legs and four limbs, just like humans.
I am grateful for the chance encounter with that human. I should probably start calling him by his name. What was his name again? I never asked him. He must have gone back to his home by now, wherever that is.
I finished constructing the Seed, the sparkle that will make humanoid possible. Time to plow the ground. I had a feeling this would work. As I was about to leave the Draft Space, someone was trying to enter. Should I let them in? I was ready to begin, but someone had already tried to intervene?
I was surprised when I gave them permission to access. Another human being? From another universe again? So encountering entities from other universes is not rare?
I threw him the same translation prism that I used to communicate with the first human.
"Please excuse my intrusion; my name is Earl. I'm a Guide to the one who was recently here with you. Is he still around?" The human said.
"He left already; I will send you to where he went," I replied.
"Okay…" The human said.
I sent him to the Octave before he could say anything else.
Alright, the obstacle was gone. Let's get started.
◇
I wonder if I should start from scratch. I have already created many worlds before; maybe there is one I could use.
No. Nope. No. This one won't do. No. Nope. No. This one is too chaotic. No. Nope. No. This one is too perfect.
I discarded one world after another, finding flaws and unsuitable components in each of them.
Huh? He was back? Didn't I send him to the Octave?
I was surprised to see that the human had returned to the most recent world I created.
How did he come back?
Maybe he was somehow connected to the world when I was mending the elements. Maybe his soul was partly tied to it. Hmmm. He couldn't go back to his own universe; the world would always pull him back. If I finished mending this world, he would be truly bound to the new realm.
What should I do?
This world would be chaotic if I used it. There would be different humanoids… Ideally, a world with one race of sentient beings would nurture the world to the next phase. But with this…
Well, that is fine, I guess.
This world would do; everything was in order. And my kin would also appear here; I wanted to see a humanoid cockroach; that would be a new kind of beauty.
I made up my mind. This is it!
The process of creating a world is straightforward, but it requires a lot of imagination and creativity. Imagine several layers of transparent paper, with the first layer having only lines, representing the basic structure and boundaries of the world. The second layer having shapes, representing the physical features and landscapes of the world. The third layer having colors, representing the light and atmosphere of the world. And so on, with each layer adding more complexity and depth to the world. When seen from above, they form the whole picture. A realm that casts shadows on each other, creating a sense of dimension and perspective.
A three-layered structure would look like a planet. It would have a spherical shape, a surface with mountains and valleys, and a sky with clouds. I, myself, even look like what could be called a star in the third realm, shining brightly and providing energy to the world.
But life can only thrive from the third realm onwards when time starts to flow and life begins to seem like it is happening and evolving.
And that human who is stuck in the second realm would have a strange experience there. He would be isolated and alone, without any sense of time or change or growth. He would be trapped in a static and silent world while the elements swirl around him, reaching out for change.
I am going to start mending now to make an optimal environment for the seeding. Mending is the process of adjusting and refining the elements of the second realm, making sure they are balanced and harmonious. Seeding is the process of introducing and cultivating life forms in the third realm, making sure they bring forth the fruit of life: Nature Beings. I am looking forward to seeing how Sentient Beings emerge.
◇
At last!
The third realm is now emerging, and only the seeding is left. This would complete the third realm's manifestation.
But then, another surprise yet again.
I sensed another human who appeared at the same time as the third realm. It seemed to be waiting for the third realm to materialize as if it knew it was coming.
It couldn't be…
It was a female human. But that was not the strange part; she was a soul who belonged here, in this world that I just created. Hmmm. So that's why I detected her immediately, unlike the other human who came from another universe.
I suddenly felt all of her experiences on Earth and in this new realm.
Before I knew it, everything was already in motion. It probably started when the other human appeared.
Her presence here meant that she had been brought to the third realm while the other human stayed in the second. Why? Was it because she was drawn by her previous self?
For now, I dragged her to the Draft Space.
I decided to finish the seeding first before I talked to the female human who was in the Draft Space. I was eager to see a world that would showcase the beauty of two-legged beings.
I scattered the seed in all directions, sending sparks of life to every corner of the world. He would see it as a kind of fireworks display, a rare spectacle that only he could witness as he transitioned to the third realm.
What a lucky guy. He was witnessing the birth of a new world, something that few beings could ever see.
Everything was done. The seeding was complete. The world was ready for life.
The only thing left was to watch and wait for Nature Beings to emerge, and eventually, Sentient Beings would appear. I would be able to experience everything they felt, both joy and pain. Nature Beings were the beings that embodied the natural forces and elements of the world, such as wind, water, fire, earth, plants, and animals. Sentient Beings were beings that had intelligence and consciousness, such as humans and other races.
Go forth, my children, and make the world blossom with your will. Your father is here to watch over you. I am proud of you and curious about you. I want to see how you will live and grow in this world that I created for you.
I might create my own incarnation to explore my creation as it goes through its chaotic phase, and he would probably want some explanation.
◇
In the Draft Space,
I talked to her. Alexandria was her current incarnation name on Earth. She was a soul who belonged to my world, but she had reincarnated in another universe. I tried to explain things that she needed to know, such as who I was, what I was doing, and why she was here. But, surprisingly, she was such a ditz. I didn't know that being a ditz would make her so unpredictable, even though I knew her so much more than she knew herself. So being omniscient had this kind of limit, huh? She didn't understand anything I said, and she kept asking silly questions. Only when I told her in a fairytale-like manner did she get it, or maybe not…
I accompanied Alex to the Octave since she was the first soul I felt and I wanted to at least escort her. Her journey was my journey too.
Being a Creator meant not only creating but also knowing and immersing oneself in one's creation. But when she was in another universe, the connection was severed.
The Octave brought her back, and it was now up to her.
As I was about to leave, the Octave told me something.
"Take these humans with you," the Octave said.
What?
A lot of humans appeared. They were all from different universes, and they all looked confused and bewildered. What did this mean?
"They are also lost," the Octave added, "But I can't send them back yet. They are perfect for your latest creation."
