The Discussion in the Garden

When we arrived at the garden, I was fascinated by all of the wonderful things I could see there. The first thing I saw was a field of flowers in an abundance of colors, with petals swirling in a gentle breeze. There are also plenty of trees, with pink-colored leaves that resemble Japanese cherry blossoms and branches reaching towards the sky.

As we moved forward, we noticed a gazebo in the center of the exquisite garden, nestled amongst a patchwork of blooming flowers and lush greenery. Everyone who entered this enchanted setting was drawn in by its captivating presence.

"Welcome to my glorious sanctuary, Klee," Alicia remarked as she ushered me to her magnificent gazebo. Then, as we approached the table, she said, "Please, have a seat," encouraging me to sit on one of the gold-colored chairs, to which I gratefully agreed.

After that, she turned to Spark and said, "As for you, please inform the maids and butler to make some tea and desserts for me and Klee," prompting him to comply with her request.

"I understood, your majesty," Spark said willingly, leaving the gazebo to perform his duty.

While we are waiting for Spark, the queen took a seat on the opposite side of the table in front of me. She discreetly looks over me while resting her arms on the table, which made me nervous. However, her mature appearance led me to believe she understands a lot of things and could answer all of my questions regarding my reincarnation.

While I was contemplating, she suddenly smiled and spoke to me, "I'm sure you have a lot of questions in my mind, Klee. However, I have three conditions I need to clarify before we begin," the elf woman stated, holding up three fingers.

I was surprised that she knew about my intention, thus I asked her, "What are those conditions?" wondering about the limitations that she would put on me.

Alicia nodded understandingly to my question and proceeds to state her conditions,

"First of all, all of the information here is confidential, which means that nothing we discuss must be known outside of this kingdom.

Secondly, please address me as Miss Alicia. I just want to be clear on something, I am not your mother in this world.

Lastly, you may not inquire about my identification. It is for my own privacy and protection."

I was baffled by Alicia's strictness when she specified all three conditions. I thought she was just a lighthearted woman, but I forgot she was also an overlord here. Although her last two conditions are somewhat suspicious, but I suppose it makes sense to avoid broaching that touchy subject.

"Do you understand my conditions, Klee?" Alicia asked again, making sure her words were comprehended by me.

"Y-yes, miss Alicia!" I responded awkwardly after hearing her serious voice.

Then Alicia giggles gently when she observed my anxious expression, "Calm down, Klee. I'm just messing with you," she said, attempting to reassure me.

---------------------------

When I've calmed down, I asked Alicia a couple of questions. Starting with my own reincarnation, I inquired, "Do you know anything about the survey?" wanting to understand more about the survey that had brought me into this world in the first place.

Alicia tilted her head in confusion after hearing my question, "I am not sure what you mean, Klee. Can you elaborate?" she asked, wanting me to clarify.

I followed her instructions and told her my entire story. I started telling her about the survey that I filled out in my computer and how I wound up in this world when my entire screen flashed and started pulling me in. Then I informed her about how I awoke in the forest as an elf, met three humans, and was taken to a human kingdom.

"I see..." Alicia responded, contemplating on the story I told her. "I must say, Klee, your case is very unusual," she added, which pique my interest.

"Really? How so?" I curiously asked.

"It's because your case is different from the other otherworlders," she explained, which piques my interest.

"Wait, does that mean there are other people who came from my world!?" I eagerly inquired, wondering whether there were more reincarnated people like me.

Alicia nodded in agreement when she heard my question. "Of course, there are multiple cases of people ending up in this world via reincarnation and summoning circle," she remarked, elaborating on her previous statement.

I was excited to learn that individuals were being transported into this world, which implies there's a chance I'd meet other Japanese people as well.

"Miss Alicia, do you know any reincarnated people from my world?" I inquired, eager to make new acquaintances.

However, Alicia went silent for some reason when I asked her that question. She sat there for a while before returning to look at me. "I do know someone like that in the past, but I'm not sure if I can tell you about them." she responded regretfully, pondering over something depressing.

"What's wrong? Did something happen to them?" I wondered, concerned by Alicia's gloomy demeanor.

"No, they're fine," Alicia responded, shaking her head, "it's just... I missed them for a long time," she added, telling me in a melancholy tone.

'Poor Alice, she really missed her friends,' I thought to myself as I noticed Alicia grieving. 'I guess I'll have to cheer her up,' I added as I stood up from my chair and walked around the table until I reached the elf woman.

"Is something wrong, Klee?" Alicia asked, confused as to why I was standing in front of her. Then I proceed to hug Alice, which startles her. "Hey, what are you doing!?" she exclaimed, attempting to pull herself away from my embrace. However, I did not let go and kept hugging her.

"It's alright, miss Alicia. I'm sure you will see your friends again someday," I muttered, trying my best to comfort her.

As a result of my actions, Alice started getting emotional and hugged me back. "Thank you very much, Klee," she cries, holding me tightly.

-------------------------------

After a few moments, things finally settle down. Alicia drew back her hug and she even smiled at me. At the same time, we noticed Spark coming back to the gazebo along with some maids with cat ears and a butler with pale blonde hair. Seeing that, I return to my seat and watch them come.

"Your Majesty, I've finally returned with the request you told me," Spark said, signaling to the maids and butler to bring tea and dessert to our table.

While the maids followed his orders, I observed something curiously familiar about the butler as he poured tea into our cup.

"Here's your tea, madam," the butler says as he gives the cup of tea to Alicia and me.

The elf woman accepts the cup of tea and she drinks its contents before turning to face the butler and saying, "Thank you for the tea, Albedo."

When I heard the butler's name, I almost choked on my dessert. The reason was because I'm surprised to find Albedo here, especially when he was dressed as a butler.

Fortunately, I recovered from choking and looked at the butler, who appeared perplexed. "Are you okay, young lady?" the butler inquired, checking in on the issue.

"Um, no. I'm fine," I responded to the butler, reassuring him.

The butler then gave me an impersonal nod before turning to Alicia and saying, "I will take my leave, madam."

"All right, good work," Alicia replied with a nod of appreciation. The butler bowed his head at her direction before turning around and leaving the gazebo. Furthermore, the cat girl maids also bowed and followed the butler from behind.

----------------------------------------------------

Once the butler and maids were gone, I continued my chat with Alicia. Also, Spark decided to listen to our conversation since he has nothing to do.

Anyway, the next question I asked was about the world I reside in and what I am likely to discover in the future.

When Alicia heard my question, she paused for a moment before responding, "This world you reincarnated into is called the [Central World], and you will most likely to befriend a lot of individuals in the near future, including monsters, beast people, demon lords, and a lot more."

I was interested by the sound of what Alicia said to me, and I am really excited to see all of these people soon. Wait, hold on...

"Miss Alicia, I don't want to be rude but... Why would I befriend monsters?" I asked, wanting to know the reason behind that matter.

"Well, just because some monsters are wild and evil doesn't mean there aren't any good ones," Alicia remarks, implying the existence of benevolent monsters.

Now that I think about it, there were times when Hilichurls weren't attacking me when I was playing Genshin Impact. Perhaps such a concept like that exists in this world as well.

"Okay, let's say I wanted to befriend a monster. What would it be?" I pondered, wondering what kind of monster I would meet.

"A slime," Alicia stated flatly without hesitation, which made me speechless.

Because of this, I drank the tea awkwardly. "Really, a slime? Are you for real, Miss Alicia?" I asked in disbelief. It's hard to believe I'd befriend a slime since it sounds silly.

"Of course," Alicia acknowledged, "Despite the fact that slimes are generally weak monsters, there might be one that stands above the rest." She added, implying the possibility of an alpha slime.

Hearing Alicia's explanation confused me, so I asked, "Where would I find such powerful slime like that?" wanting to know the whereabouts of this creature.

"I'm not sure, but I recommend looking in the Jura Forest," Alicia suggested, and I nodded in agreement. However, even if I wanted to, I'm not sure I'd be able to befriend a monster.

--------------------------------------------

After we finished talking, I realized my hand was faintly glowing. When I saw this, I exclaimed, "Miss Alicia, what is happening to me?" while showing the elf woman my arm.

"Hmm? Ah, it seems your time is up, Klee," she replied nonchalantly.

Hearing her response made me anxious and confused, thus I nervously said, "What do you mean by that, miss Alicia?"

"It means you're going to wake up soon," she explains as she continues to sip her tea.

"Oh, I see," I thought as I realized what was happening.

This appears to be the end. I'm returning to reality. To be honest, I feel that this dream didn't go as long as I expected it to, as if I were hoping to spend more time here in Wonderland.

"Why the long face, Klee?" Spark asked, noticing the sadness at my impending return to reality.

I looked at the small fluffy bunny and said, "It's just... I'll miss you, Spark," conveying my sadness to him.

After hearing my message, the Dodoco approaches me and said, "Don't worry, Klee. I'm sure we'll see each other again," reassuring me with a smile. Then he turns to face Alicia and says, "Isn't that right, your majesty?"

Alicia, who was still sipping her tea, noticed she was being called upon and put down her cup, saying, "Of course, I can bring you here in my kingdom every time you are asleep."

As a result of her reassuring words, I nodded understandingly. Meanwhile, the remainder of my body begins to glow, indicating that it is time for me to return.

"Well then, this is goodbye," I said to the two individuals as I waved my hand at them.

"Farewell, Klee, take care in your journey," Alicia said as she waved her hand at me, and then Spark added, "See you later, Klee," as he waved his hand as well.

After we said each other's goodbyes, my eyesight became blurry and an unknown force began to pull me away from the tapestry of colors and brilliant hues, until all I could see was pure darkness.

"Ah, dreaming was fun, but it's time to return to reality," I told myself as I tried to wake up. Bright light flooded into my eyes as I opened them.

This is the second part of the previous chapter.

I intended it as one long chapter, but I decided to change it and make it two parts instead.
