Chapter 2: a Chuuni Dragon no more

"WILL YOU STOP SCREAMING SO EARLY IN THE MORNING!!!!!!!

And stop with the weird poses. Those poses don't do anything besides make you look crazy"

Ever since Gin was brought to Veldanava's home, he was constantly trying to practice his skills. He already was able to get [Magic Sense] on the very first day, since he knew how Rimuru got it. Unfortunately, that's the only bit of progress he made. At first, Gin was just trying to manipulate the energy around him to make the shape of a person and try transforming like that. Eventually, he started screaming out "transform" during each trial. When that didn't work, he started trying to make hand signs and posing. It was funny the first few times, but it very quickly became obnoxious.

Since Milim wasn't born yet, Gaia wasn't either, meaning that there was nothing to do except to train. Veldanava and Lucia were also there, but they were to busy being to sweet and loving couple, so Gin was grossed out.

The ability that Gin is currently aiming to get was the ability to transform into a human. Or at least some type of humanoid form, like a dragonewt. But after 7 days, this was still not working out too well, and now Veladanava was getting annoyed from all the screaming. This did not hurt Gin's enthusiasm though, as one moment later, a loud scream could be heard.

"Transform!!!"

"BE QUIET. Here, why don't I just give you a skill that can help you learn to transform and you'll shut up." the tired dragon said exhaustedly.

"Really!?" All of a sudden, Gin ran into the house and jumped into a dogeza (bow) in front of Veldanava.

Unfortunately, this was just a trick to get Gin to stop being annoying. But when he started laughing and was about to turn away, Gin's starry eyes pierced Veldanava's back, pressuring him to keep his word.

"How about this. I'll give you an Extra Skill called [Sage]. It gives you a higher processing speed and is like an A.I. for your personal use."

"Huh? I already have that skill, but I don't know how to use it."

"Its probably because that skill needs a little bit of time before it bonds with your soul. I'd say it would likely need about 90 days before you are able to use it. Here. I'll activate the skill for you and even upgrade it."

{Confirmed. Evolving Extra Skill [Sage] into Unique Skill [Great Sage]… successful.}

"So Cool!" Gin jumped around extremely excitedly and energetically, but then a thought occurred to him. "But how do I use this to transform into a human?"

"Normally, you would need another skill to analyze the data of the form you want to take over. This time, I'll just give you some data of a form similar to what Milim and Lucia have." Responded the dragon.

{Received. Data on Human form has been collected. Would you like to transform?

Yes No}

'Of course yes. Now, I'll finally be back to my old self and not have to deal with trying to do Naruto hand signs with my clumsy paws.

{Received. Commencing transformation.}

'Yes, I'm transforming...

Wait, am I shrinking...?

I'm turning into a baby!?

Dang it. Well, at least its a step up from being a baby dragon. Wait a minute, am I seeing this right? I'm not just any baby right now... I'm a baby girl! NOO!!!'

Extra Authors Notes

This chapter was a little short, and its really more like a transition to the next chapter. There's still some major information, like getting [Great Sage] and learning to transform. I know that [Great Sage] isn't supposed to be able to transform. [Predator] was the one that let Rimuru transform, but I'm changing it here so that [Great Sage] can allow Gin to transform.

Also, to distinguish when [Great Sage] and the Voice of the World are speaking, [Great Sage] will begin sentences with {Received} and the Voice of the World will begin with {Confirmed}. This might change later on, but for now I will try to stick with this.
