Revelations?

"Ow"

I rubbed the back of my head at the spot where Mom hit me.

"Humph. You deserve it"

"It was just a little harmless prank"

THUD…

"OW… Again?"

"Don't ever do that again"

"But…," her gaze intensified, "Alright, I won't"

Mom pat my head, a smile adorning her face.

"There there"

This brought a smile to my face, as I close my eyes, enjoying the pat.

"So Michi", Aunt Lumine called out, "Just what did you use now?"

I looked over to her, seeing a serious expression on her face.

{You know already don't you?}

I mentally send her a message, just before receiving a reply.

{I think it's time}

I stared at her, receiving one in response. We did this for a bit before I sighed.

"Mom, can you please call Dad?"

"Why? Is something wrong?"

She asked me, albeit a bit worriedly.

"No no, I just had something to tell you both"

"Oh… Okay"

Mom used her skill which was a locating Spell and sent a mental message to him, and he just appeared right before us in seconds.

"What wrong?"

"Nothing", I replied, calming his vexed self, "I just wanted to tell you something"

"What is it?"

I sighed.

This was going to be a long story. Even if I do not plan to tell them who I truly am, but telling them about Cultivation itself along with the fact that I had kept them in the dark about my training since a decade.

Okay, here goes nothing…

"Well actually, I am a cultivator…"

I explained what cultivation was to them, who were shocked to hear that. However, when I told them that I had been training with Aunt Lumine for more than 10 years, Mom was infuriated.

It took hours of consoling and apologizing from both of us to calm Mom down, who I could feel was extremely upset.

After telling them that I can't use any other abilities excluding Cultivation until I break through the Immortal Province, I wanted to tell them about the 4th Realm that I just broke through into but Dad interrupted my speech with a question.

"If you are going to remain as a human who can't use any other abilities, how will you live long enough to break through the Immortal Province? Doesn't it take hundreds of years?"

"It should actually take at least a few thousand years", They gasped as tears welled up in their eyes, "But you don't have to worry, a cultivator's lifespan increases as his cultivation does. I mean, as of right now, I could live on for at least 30,000 years more even if I don't do anything

"So that means"

"Yes, I will not leave you anytime soon"

"But what did you mean by living 10,000 years? How can you as a human that isn't even a spiritual being?"

I sighed, preparing myself to answer Dad's question as Aunt Lumine and Mom watched attentively.

"When a person cultivates, in the second Realm, they strengthen and nourish their physical body which itself gives them a lifespan of around 500 years, limited only because their soul is still that of a human mortal"

They nodded, signaling me to continue.

"However, when they enter the 3rd Realm, their Yi Sea passively nourishes their soul to some extent, which increases their life expectancy to almost 3000 years"

All 3 of them had their eye's widened, hearing information that likely blew their minds.

"But when one become a 4th Realm cultivator, not only do their reserves of Yi increase manifold, but they also gain the ability to control one or aspects of existence, though the level of authority depends upon their affinity towards said Dao and their proficiency and I have 5 Daos as of now"

I waited for a bit. I needed to give them time to process the information after all.

"One of them is space, which I used to prank Mom earlier"

Mom's eye twitched.

Alright, Moving on…

"Second is Darkness, which I can use to freely manipulate darkness and anything related to it.

The third One is Void, which can be used to manipulate nothingness. However, this is difficult to use and master due to the strain it puts on your body and soul besides the huge energy that it costs.

The fourth one is the Dao of Reincarnation, which allows me to interact and to some extent manipulate the souls of the dead and if mastered to an extremely high, life and death itself."

Their eyes widened, especially Aunt Lumine's. She was about to speak up but I, intending to finish my description, didn't stop for her to interject.

"The fifth and final one for now is the Dao of time", Aunt Lumine's lips separated, as if trying to speak something, but I mentally told her to let me finish, "As the name would suggest, I allows me to manipulate Time itself, though I can only slow and speed things up at the moment due to my current level of power but this still allows me to slow my aging to reach up to at least 30,000 years as of now."

"Why didn't you tell me this earlier?"

Aunt Lumine roared, frustration clear on her face which I could see even in this dark forest dimly lit up by the moonlight.

"I only broke through the 4th Realm today, how could I tell you about this before?"

I spoke the half-truth, after all, there was nothing about Daos that a stage 3 cultivator should know unless told before.

Looking at my parent's faces, I could predict that I was going to be bombarded with questions.

Sigh… This is going to be a really long night.

"How was it?"

"It is really delicious"

I answered Mom, who sat beside me as I ate my fill.

A week had passed since I told Mom and Dad about the fact that I am a cultivator.

It had been a quiet and peaceful, spending days while spending bare minimum time practicing and staying with my family mostly, enjoying their company.

It was the same, except when Aunt Lumine pestered me about the Daos and what I could do with them for now.

"Mom"

"Hmm?"

"Dad's going to his parents' home tomorrow right?!"

"Yeah?"

"Can I go with him?"

Her gaze deepened.

"Why?"

"Ahaha", I started, while scratching the back of my head, "It's just that I never met them, so I thought maybe I could go with him"

Mom stared at me for a bit before her lips parted.

"Alright, you can go", I celebrated in my mind, "But don't try anything funny"

A drop of sweat suddenly rolled down by face as I refused to meet my Mother's intense eyes.

"Okay", I meekly said, "Where is he going though?"

I looked at Mom, who had the 'is he for real?' look on her face.

She sighed, before giving me the answer.

"Your Dad will tell you when you go?"

Okaayyyy.

"Why aren't you coming with us?"

I asked, with pure curiosity.

Her voice suddenly grew stern.

"Do you want to go or not?", she stopped for a bit, "Go play with your Aunt Lumine"

Following her instructions, I got up and headed for the Castle. There was an almost instinctive reaction that compelled me to do her bidding.

Why did she seem so agitated?

Her reaction was anything but natural.

While she was usually very gentle and calm even when she was irritated and never meant any hurtful things but just then, then, that was not a normal.

Then the image of her having a hurtful glare appeared in my mind, and for some reason, I felt tears well up in my eyes, which I immediately rubbed off. (Image here)

My mind raced, as I thought of the multitude of reason why my mother would have acted like that. But before I could arrive at a plausible solution, my eyes were met with the view of a castle that grew closer and closer.

Stopping at the gates momentarily, I gave Carl and Gary casual pleasantries like I always did and went inside.

Arriving at the hallway, I saw Roy talking with another adult Vampire I had seen a few times before.

As our eyes met, he gave me a nod, which was the way he already greeted me, before continuing his conversation with the other vampire.

I walked into the leisure room that was filled with a breathtakingly soft sofa, where she almost always was in the castle, to find her enjoying her red wine.

Remembering that I had gotten stronger, I decided to analyze her once again.

[Appraisal Result: -

 Name: Luminous Valentine

Title: Queen of ##########*Host's cultivation too weak to analyze*

Battle Strength: Immortal Province:??? Realm *Host's cultivation too weak to analyze further*

Threat Posed: Lethal (Almost Certain Death)]

Damn, she's old... Wait, Am I even in the position of saying something like that.

And a High Blood, must be due to that brat Twilight.

Queen of..., Meh doesn't matter.

Immortal Province huh?! You surely are strong, Aunt Lumine.

Maybe the certain death changed to almost considering that there is a slight chance that I can survive by Reincarnation by my new Dao.

I can think about that later, Let's first get some answers.

"Don't you get tired of alcohol?"

I asked, catching her attention, though I could tell that she already sensed me approaching the castle before, I did it out of habit.

"It's a good experience"

"You have 『Poison Nullification』", I said, deadpan, "It doesn't even have a single effect on you."

"It still tastes good"

Knowing that I was arguing against her, which was a lost cause, I decided to ask her about my mother.

"Hey, I am going to my visit my grandparents' tomorrow with my Dad.", She have me a side-eye, not a regular one, but one unusually intense, "Do you know where they are?"

"There is a small kingdom far in the east, known as the 'Nasca' Kingdom. Your father will show you the rest"

The atmosphere was tense, so I decided to drop the matter for now.

"Mind if I try that?!"

I said jokingly, knowing she would refuse.

"Iris will kill me if she knows about this"

Hah, I know that. I remember when she pestered you for weeks when you just asked her to take me for training.

"So keep this a secret between us"

"Eh?"

I looked at her, taken aback by her words.

"What did you…"

She handed me a glass of wine half filled with red wine, which I later found out was her own.

"Are you sure?"

Even if I said this, my hand robotically moved to hold the glass and brought it near my lips.

She smirked.

"Just drink it"

Bringing the glass to my lips, I took a sip from the alcoholic liquid that look blood red.

Hmm… It's sweet, and exhilarating, it's really different from what I drank in my past lives.

I wanted to ask her how it is made, but refrained from doing do, since I didn't want to reveal my true identity, at least not yet.

"It's sweet"

I answered, facing her who had her smile grow even wider than when I gave my thoughts about the drink.

I wasn't affected by the alcohol; I had developed enough resistance against it the moment I became a 'Body Strengthening' cultivator.

"Want another?"

I smiled in response as my head moved slowly in a nod.

And this is how I became the secret drinking partner of Aunt Lumine.

The sun had just risen up, illuminating Night Garden in red shimmers.

I was with Aunt Lumine, waiting for Dad to come, who had supposedly slept in a little late and was beate… I mean, disciplined by Mom.

I was dressed up in clothes that Aunt Lumine prepared herself, so I was quite excited to wear it.

I know I am being childishly enthusiastic but with how my life is, I don't mind.

The dress was a greyish black cloth that almost stuck to my skin and purple overcoat that extended down to my knees, having a crescent moon on the right and left bottom. With my long hair black tied in a ponytail by a thick purple thread. (Image here)

"They're here"

I hear Aunt Lumine's voice, as I turned around to see my parent approaching my position with high speeds.

Seeing dad, I was frozen in shock as I reminisced about Yoriichi, who was almost identical to my father, even more so now that he was now wearing the same set of clothing that Yoriichi once did.

I was shaken out of my trance by Mom hug, who bombarded me with advices like 'Eat well', 'don't talk to strangers' and things like that.

While we got ready to leave, she said a final sentence that I felt had a hidden meaning.

"Stay with your Dad always. I love you"

I hear in the distance as the both of us leave the ladies behind and heat towards the east.

"Are you okay? We have been running for an hour. Do you need rest?"

Running for an hour was nothing for me, since I could very well run for weeks right now, but Dad didn't know that.

"It's okay, I can run for days without a rest"

He looked a bit uneasy but continued. Maybe because he's worried about me"

Deciding that this was the best moment for a conversation, I asked a question that had been bothering me for years.

"Dad"

"Hmm?"

He looked at me with a side eye.

"Have you ever heard of the name Tsugikuni?"
