The world has fallen and so did humanity. In the new era after the apocalypse, Marcus Zephanie was hailed to be the leader. Because of him, one-fourth of the human race was saved. MARY
'This is not okay'. Mary scolded herself, Hero's dead weight was pressed against her body. He reeked of alcohol and Mary can't even wrinkle her nose.
Admittedly, she was trying not to get flushed with their proximity being so close. Mary could see up close how fine his nose was and the thickness of his eyelashes. He looked so beautiful despite being drunk.
'Crap, I just sounded love drunk.' Mary had to roll her eyes at herself.
"What did I ever do to receive such torture?" she muttered.
Marcus Zephanie had never returned. Mary had ended up telling her life story to Eve. It made her think that Marcus Zephanie might be right. Eve might become her best friend later on.
While she was answering Eve's questions regarding her life, Mary realized how easy it was to open up to strangers.
