Contemplations

Marcus Zephanie sat inside his laboratory. His mind was occupied with the thoughts of Shay and his recent visit. He can't seem to put his finger on it, but there was something different about her and it was a matter of concern for him.

Playing with the vial in his hand, he pondered on it further. 

Was it because they haven't seen each other for a long time? In Marcus Zephanie's mind, it was possible. But then, it had always been the case between them.

Ever since she had left the lab, Marcus barely saw Shay. He did not feel the same vibe when their paths would randomly cross or if for some reason he gets to catch a glimpse of her. So, what changed?

Marcus can't quite get a grasp on it. There must be something that had led to this troubling feeling inside of him. Was it her appearance?

When he thinks about it, Shay appeared to be different and yet she still looked pale.
