Don't Worry, I'll Take Your Place

"Don't worry, I will help you." A voice echoed through the sorrounding conscience. The lights started to flicker as wind came out even though the windows were closed.

A blue flow of energy came out swirling like a whirlpool in the school as it became bigger. and bigger. And suddenly, in one point in the middle of the vortex, the energy went downways as it entered the mouth of the unconcious patient.

"HAAA!" A gasp of air entered through his body as his pupil opened and dilated.

"W-what happened? I thought I killed myself." Alpheus muttered confusingly and look at both his hands. "This isn't my hands." He said in shock as he stood and put his legs on the floor and looked at the mirror besides him.

"T-this isn't my face either." He touched his face profusely. His baby face, "Did I just been... reborn?" Alpheus shockingly hypothesized as the door suddenly slammed open.

Alpheus jumped in shock only for a doctor to come in, "Ohh, you're awake?" The doctor said as he calmy walked to see the other patient. Then the doctor made a 'ehh' sound as he stopped aggresively.

Alpheus stopped to stare at the doctor as he disappeared and suddenly appeared in a daze of the moment as his hands held unto both of Alpheus' shoulders as he shouted, "You're awake! How are you awake!" he shouted as he swayed Alpheus around.

As his body was swayed around, Alpheus has no idea as his face was obviously blank, "W-what actually happened to me?" Alpheus rose his pointy finger as he asked.

The doctor stopped, "You don't remember?" The doctor asked as he lets go of Alpheus and looked at the bookmark he was holding earlier and looked at the paper.

"Apparently, you got hit in the head with a bat." The doctor said as he flipped through the paper. He looked back at Alpheus, "You sure you didn't remember anything?" he asked.

Alpheus was stunned as his eyes dilated. He remembered.

BETRAYAL. REVENGE.

Alpheus took out a sigh out as his confused face turned dark as the brown eyes of his started to turn blue, "Oh, I remember now." He muttered as he slowly raised his head and stared at the doctor.

Bang.

The doctor suddenly felt a presence so familiar to him as the eyes of the boy in patient's clothing connected his. The presence was so heavy, like... like he was in the presence of a man who has endured a lifetime of grand knowledge. Like he was in the presence of a natural-born leader.

"Get me my clothes, I still have things to settle." Alpheus didn't say that in a calm and friendy way, it was like a demand, a declaration, a command.

The doctor who has experienced arrogant and hard-headed patients through out his career; he has not met someone like the boy who gave out the chills. His words was like a change that connected to his neck, ordering him like a loyal dog that he is.

The doctor flinched as he stuttered, "Y-yes..." It was pure instinct. It was like a mouse has encountered a lion, he just can't deny the orders of those who are naturally in the top of the food chain.

The doctor rushed to the door and went out as Alpheus stood up still, waiting for the doctor to completey disappeared from his sight.

...

Alpheus walks out of the hospital with his civilian clothes, "Well, first things first. Since I don't have the money, I guess I'll go to the scrapyard." he muttered as he walked his way.

"Let's try making that... for my own safety." he muttered

In the distant, a black car stops and the car window slowly opens as a person in black clothing and black glassess looks at Alpheus going somewhere, "Boss, he's alive." He said as he held his finger on his right ear.

"Follow him and cripple him for good." A teenager's voice came out from the other side of the call.

"Yes sir." The man agreed back as the window closed back. The car turns on as it slowly drives, following Alpheus until it reaches to the scrapyard.

Alpheus stops, takes a peek behind him and smiled, "Oh?" he whispered as he enters the scrapyard. Walking through it, he found a man sitting by a rocking chair and reading newspapers.

"Uhm, sir?" Alpheus asked politely as the newspaper that covered the face got dragged out, showing a man's face in his mid 50s.

"What do you want?" The man asked in a straight-forward manner.

"Can I collect some scraps for my school assignments? I was wondering if it's free." He asked the man dilligently. The man's expression seemed annoyed but he just pointed his thumb behind what looks like a dump of trash, "Yeah, just take whatever you want."

Alpheus thanked the man and walked slowly to the area where the man is pointing, "That man seems soft." He smiled.

As a boss who served millions of people under his company, one of his special skill is to read people. He is a man who cannot be lied, a man who cannot be tempted by what seems false and what is not true.

Hours was spent looking for the things used to make his device until it almost became dawn, "Unfortunately, all this things are so old-gen that I can only make my time's devices at 10% of their power." He looked at the junk he got but then it smiled, "But what I'm going to make is a military weapon, so I guess this is enough for self-defense."

Alpheus got out of the scrapyard in a bag as he waved goodbye to the man sitting by the rocking chair, "Should I call him Mr. Rocky from now on?" he muttered, smiling. Contented on what he's got.

But then the smile faded as his expression became serious. He slowly puts down his things as he said, "Come out, I know you're there." Alpheus mentions in the dark.

It became utter silence for half a minute, then footsteps came out slowly.

"From the sounds... 6 of them." He muttered slowly to himself.

People in black-clothing came out of the shadows with knives in their hands, "So, you noticed."
