I looked around as I entered the classroom my first class was going to be held inside. Although I had above-average looks but so did the other students in this academy full of nobles, therefore Nobody glanced at me twice
as I walked past and sat on a random desk in a quiet corner of the classroom.
After a minute or so murmurs and whispers echoed throughout the classroom as Arthur's entered, Elijah, followed slightly behind him.
The professor for our first class, Fundamentals of Magic Theory, had yet to arrive, allowing the discussions to ceaselessly go on which mainly centred around Arthur.
"Protagonists really live in a different world I guess." I thought in my mind, looking pitifully at him.
Then the professor of our first class walked in with confident strides.
He looked exactly the same as I had seen in the memories, pretty young—at most, in his mid-thirties. He had well-parted brown hair that he kept neat and styled. His face was freshly shaven to reveal a narrow jaw. He was on the thinner side but in no way out of shape.
Using the folder he was holding as a gavel, he thumped it on the front podium before speaking. "Now, now... I realize that there are many wonderful things to talk about, but you guys aren't very good at gossiping. If the person of topic is in the same room and can hear what you are saying, then it really isn't gossip now, is it?" At his words, some of the students gossiping shrank down in embarrassment but most of the students just laughed.
"My name is Professor Avius and I must say that it's great to meet you all. While this is technically a basic class and some may think that it is unnecessary, I, on the other hand, believe this class is the foundation for what will make you a great mage. We won't be doing much casting but there will be fun assignments and projects that I will assign along the way, so look forward to it!"
Class continued as he talked about most of the things I already knew, perks of having the memories of one of the best mages dicathen has ever given birth to.
The only goal I had in Xyrus City was already accomplished by me last night. Before this, the thought of attending Xyrus Academy never occurred to me. I agreed to do so because I knew my father had to put lots of effort to get a seat for me and he genuinely wanted me to study at the best mage academy on the continent.
Ignoring the lecture, I started thinking about my plans for the next several months as I was gonna drop out of here before the attack.
Why? Because it's none of my business what happens to this academy. And even if I wanted to do something about it, I wouldn't as
I'm pretty sure, windsom will be watching the whole ordeal behind the scene, And the last thing I want is attention from an asura. As of Right now, I'm not confident enough to face even a retainer, let alone an asura. So at the time of the attack, I'll probably be at home, eating delicious food made by my mother and enjoying life.
But I can't just waste my time like this I gotta make plans for what I could do to increase my abilities, for the next couple of months. Mental training, physical training and core purification are a must. I also realized that I haven't fully exploited Arthur's memories like his training with asura's and sword techniques which might help me, in improving my immature fighting style. Then there was also teleportation.
'Huh.' I heaved a sigh. I had a lot of things to do
So My life at the academy continued.
7 months later.
I was practising Pantheon race's combat arts in a room that looked about 500 sqft in size.
It was a facility that I was able to get after bootlicking a professor for a week.
I've been practising for several now. My sword skills and martial arts have improved by leaps and bounds, a results of having a strong mind and high control over my body. Of course, I'm not nearly as good as Arthur was, when he returned from epheotus after his training. But it's still a good start.
You cannot forget the fact that I was a normal human being in my past life, who has never fought before. Well...I sure broke some noses in high. But comparing it with a king who was a godly swordsman in his past life would be like comparing an experienced mi*f with a shy loli.
After nearly 4 hours of painstaking training, I went back to my dorm room.
Locked the door behind me, I sat on a chair, as I looked at a golden-coloured ring on my right hand's middle finger, embedded with a white gem.
It was a dimensional ring I burrowed from a particular shop in Xyrus City for research purposes. but because of my bad memory, I forgot to return it, though I eventually will.
As I willed a little mana into it, A pendant materialised in front of me out of thin air.
I've already figured out how this pendant works. Although it does not have Phoenix Wyvern's will buy it still has a little amount of its mental power. If you enter mana into it, mental power will interact with mana to change its nature, and then it uses this newly formed mana to perform teleportation. As for how to utilize this newly formed mana to teleport, well....I will only know when I use it for once myself.
And I plan to do just that, that's why I'm returning home today. And no, I'm not running away because of the attack that's going to happen but this task is really important.
I've been assimilating with this new type of element for 5 months now and I think Its almost done.
I've also been delaying my advancement to silver core for a while.
Getting ready to leave, I packed some clothes and other important things but left most of the stuff behind as I didn't want to give anyone a moment of doubt.
It was evening as I came out from the academy's gate. A carriage was waiting for me right in front of it
Getting into the carriage, without looking back. "Let's go," I said to the driver in a grim voice.
(Guys, I know it's been a pretty boring story till now but I assure you, the fun's gonna start real soon:) and please give reviews to let me know if you want me to continue this story)
