The Meeting Part 2

Its been a year since my mistake with Nico and we somehow grew even closer together after that incident once he realized I was just playing around and he decided it was time for payback and pranked me back with the same prank, afterwards he just giggled at my stupified face. He seems to be slightly sadistic, or just a normal kid, based off the fact that he became a war criminal who had no problems enslaving a continent for his Cecilia, I'd say it's a mix of both. His technical genius seems to help him with his pranks since they've been getting more and more elaborate along with his confidence in himself, he seems very happy to find something he's better than me at since the great me is much better than him in all other aspects, hopefully he doesn't wind up with an inferiority complex. I doubt he will, after all my genius is just due to my reincarnation not like Nico with his technology, Grey with his talent in fighting and control of ki, and Cecilia being the damn Legacy.

Well, I may say that but I'm getting increasingly confident that I'll be completely unrivalled in anything mind related with me reaching my main goal of being able to remember each and every line of the novel, I pulled it off seven months ago and ever since then I've been improving the efficiency of my mind and trying and failing to make the process of "storing" my memories instant. Oh right, I've never exactly explained how "mind palace" worked, so I suppose it's overdue but I have to enter what I call my mindscape and then imagine a place where all my memories are stored then move them around, categorize them, as well as go over them as many times as possible to basically force my brain to remember every detail of the memory, what I achieved was forcing my mind to remember each and every bit of the "The Beginning After the End" novel and now although I could do the rest manually, I'm trying to make it so each memory forces themselves into my brain by themselves. The way you improve efficiency of your brain is by making the area where you store the memories more and more detailed, I started with a box and have now made what looks like a cabin, my goal for the end game is making a massive lavishly decorated palace worthy of the name "mind palace".

The time I spend in my mindscape is slightly slower than the outside world so if I were to spend four minutes in here than three minutes would pass in the outside world, as I improve the efficiency of my mind the time difference continues to widen, my goal is to make it so that every two minutes in here would be one minute in the real world by the time I turn five so I could focus more on my ki core. I have a feeling that mixing this aspect of "mind palace" with my combat meditation is the key to slowing down my perception of time, but I will only begin to attempt to merge them when I reach a satisfactory level in both, my goal is to reach that level in combat meditation by my fifth birthday as well. That way my strength should increase by leaps and bounds with both improved combat meditation and my ki core. In my opinion that's quite a deadly combination, incredible reaction speed on top of ki should put me in a better position from then on as long as I'm decently talented in regards to it. After I turn five I plan to start focusing on sensing my ki perfectly, as well as ki control, maybe see if there are any basic manuals for swordsmanship I can read over, although I'm not sure if that's going to be the weapon I try to use, I still have a while to think so I'm not going to stress about my weapon, maybe focus on footwork as that should transfer from one weapon to another, not sure.

As for my progress on the front of sensing ki I'm still at about the same level, I'm almost certain there's some sort of age restriction or you need to form a core before you can advance further. I was about to delve deeper into that subject but decided to take a small break to mess around with Nico.

I got up and found Nico had left the room while I was meditating, wondering where he left I started looking around before finding him talking to Headmaster Wilbeck and a kid around our age. He was slightly tall for his age with pale blond hair and a slightly above average face hidden under a layer of baby fat. I suppose that'd be Grey then, is what I thought after seeing him, I thought I'd have more of a reaction and maybe have to use combat meditation to act normal but I think the impact on my head is a lot less than with Nico since I've already came to terms with the fact that this world is based off of a novel from my previous world, or the other way around and TurtleMe is a world traveler. That and I've been preparing to meet the guy since I had realised where exactly I was.

Finishing my internal monologue I asked "who's that" to Headmaster Wilbeck curiously, I mean of course I'd be curious about the main character, "This is the last child who'll be staying in your room Alio, I hope you three will get along well" Headmaster Wilbeck said with a smile. Quickly processing what she said I put an excited smile on my face before saying "my name's Alio, nice to meet you." Getting a small smile from Grey who replied with a curt "I'm Grey"

After our brief and slightly awkward interaction me, Nico and Grey walked together to our room, with Nico taking the lead and guiding Grey. I tried to speak to Grey but it seemed it will take a while to get all to close to the masochistic princess as the one true lord Regis calls him.

And take a while it did.
