CHAPTER 3: Early Days

JOHN REYA

How did I die? I don't know.

Why am I here? I don't know.

Where is king Grey that is supposed to reincarnate? I don't know.

It was a year after reincarnation or isekai.

I used to meditate daily for 6 month to feel mana. Another month to move it but I'm confident that I will make a score when I'm 3 or even 2 years old. I meditated so much that my mother once examined me but got relieved once she found out I was healthy.

I always saw Alice and Reynold as some side characters but having them as parents, I changed my perspective on them. They were like my old parents.

(YES, an OC who has no TRAUMA. I know IMPOSSIBLE.)

I miss them but due to my foggy memory I forget most of my past life. The only thing I remember clearly is the webcomic. I will use this comic knowledge to better this world as Arthur Leywin.

I haven't read the novel and I'm not Arthur Leywin but I will try my best in this life.

I probably need to follow the story route.

First, I need to fall off the cliff and then obtain Sylvia Beast's will because of how powerful it is and that second message is going to be important. Lastly resolve the human and elf hatred by saving Tessia from the slave traders.

I just need to think about the later parts of life later.

I was suddenly lifted in the air. "Daddy's home! How's my little man doing?!" He expressed it in a childish manner.

Oh shit! I know exactly what is going to happen.

Suddenly I was lifted and I can swear that I touched the ceiling. "Rey! What are you going to do if you drop him?" I hear my mother scramble. My father caught me and I'm now tired. Of course for this fragile body.

"Haha! My father did this when I was younger," He exclaimed. "Look, dear, I think our little boy is having some fun." Please put me down.

I was spinned around. I want to throw up. All noises from my mother became unclear. I closed my eyes for that pain and my knee hit the door frame.

A little scrape was made but the pain was unimaginable. Mom please heal me.

"Let your mother heal you?" She said before she healed my knee. The pain disappeared instantly.

I didn't need to go to the library since I knew most of the mana theory I needed to know for now but there were some books that sounded interesting. But since the house got destroyed, I can't read it.

Wait.

What if I create my core when I'm not in the house. I can spare them from pain to build a new house. Then where would I do it? I had the perfect idea.

ALICE

It's been a year since I was first worried about Art. He was always so tired or sleepy and he was always focused on something but in the end, they told me he was perfectly fine.

I'm still learning about my baby but one thing is certain. He is the most adorable baby that has ever walked in this world.

With his patch of auburn hair that he inherited from me and azura eyes that almost look at me intellectually. I know that he will get in trouble in the future if don't become a strict, dependable and responsible parent. I don't trust Rey too much with that job after I found out that he tried to teach Arthur on how to swing a sword but with a twig.

His fighting compassion inherited by Rey and the intelligence inherited by me makes Art the perfect baby.

One thing I learned about Art absolutely loves going to the Small merchant' strip in Central Ashber. So, rather than shopping for groceries once or twice a week, we go downtown every other day.

He always gets fascinated by those giant weapons (I need to scold Rey for that) and when a street performance is using magic to do little tricks.

Looking at how he grows up so quickly, I wonder what he will be like when he grows up. With Rey as his father, I have no doubt that he'll have an interest in becoming an adventurer.

But I can't help but worry. I can only hope he doesn't become a naive teen that tries to become famous by adventuring.

The only thing that bothers me is that he always goes to the library. Staring at those words like he was reading it. Children always avoid books but he was like a sponge for information. I was once tempted to move his crib to the library but that's for another day.

Closing the diary, I walked outside the library. Arthur was waiting in front of it. Was he waiting for me to finish sneaking into the library? "Can we walk together in the forest?" He asked.

"Sure," I replied.

Reynold, who was sweating after training, came to us. "We were planning on going on a walk in the forest." I said.

""Can dad come?" Art asked.

"Sure," Rey replied. "How about going to a lake. Go for a little swim and maybe teach Art how to swim."

"Rey," I said. "He is two. Children are ready to go on swimming lessons when they are 5"

"Don't worry."

After that we walked quietly through the forest. Admiring the beauty of nature. A rather large lake was in front of us. Rey took off his clothing except his underwear and jumped in the water with Arthur in his arms. Floaties attached to both of his arms so that he doesn't sink.

"Be careful with him." I said

Rey sometimes let go of Arthur and Arthur would perfectly swim. He really is a prodigy. Arthur is now swimming around the lake and Rey then comes out of the water since it was getting late but wanted Arthur to swim that distance out of the lake.

*BOOM*

A huge explosion erupted from the lake. Rey, with experience of protecting me when we were adventuring, jumped in front of me. Only a wave of water hit him but if he didn't do that, I would've been pushed back by the water and potentially hit my head on the stone ground..

Then it hit me. "ART!" I screamed but I couldn't see it because Rey was standing in my view. Rey turned his back to look at it.

Arthur was floating in the middle of the lake with a bubble of mana around him, protecting it from the water. The water was waving around Arthur almost as if celebrating his awakening.

"You gotta be kidding me? He isn't even 3."
