LW - 8.

After hearing Virion's reasoning for his recent behavior, Osiris couldn't help but believe that Virion was going senile... He understands Virions curiosity as well as annoyance when it comes to his situation because of how peculiar and special his abilities are.

But he just couldn't handle the fact that Virion would even start believing in a fairy tale that started way back when, during each kingdoms first ruler... He was interested in the story but Virion told him that he would need to find the original, he also said that it's probably not even around anymore since no one really remembers such an outlandish and mediocre fairy tale.

Anyway, after his talk with Virion in the forest, they both headed back towards the main part of the kingdom. Once they got there, Osiris was bombarded with questions pertaining their delve into the forest by Tessia. He answered some questions while others he just couldn't help but wonder what the hell went on in her head...

Arthur was interested, but he knew well enough that if Osiris wanted to tell him something then he would be told. He most likely wouldn't get any answers out of him just because he asked, so he just enjoyed the questions and reactions that Osiris and Tessia both shared.

...

Time went on and Virion and Osiris's previous suspicions and doubtful feelings subsided. They trained and sparred just like normal after a few weeks, though there was still a feeling of awkwardness in the air that Tessia and Arthur both felt, which only served to confuse them more. Creating more questions that wouldn't be answered...

This routine continued and the air of awkwardness was blown away just like the wind. The trainings went back to normal and their everyday interactions went back to normal as well. By this time, a year had passed. Osiris was now six, while Arthur and Tessia had turned five and six respectively. The relation ship between Osiris and Tessia became that of close friends, while Arthur and Osiris's became more friendly...

The two didn't always get along, but they still treated each other as friends. Osiris didn't mind his company and neither did Arthur. The only one that really had anything to say about it was Tessia... Something about Arthur stealing her friend...

What a troublesome Elf.

And just like that, four more years have passed...

{Osiris.}

"Oz! Wake. Up!"

"Oof!" Came out of my mouth as Tess so rudely awoke me from my sleep in the most violent manner she could come up with. It didn't hurt but having the air leave my lungs is more then enough for my discomfort.

Eyes open, I grunt in annoyance as I sit up in my bed, looking to my left.

"Stop waking me up like that will you? Aren't you a little to old to be doing that?" I asked. Getting a chuckle in response.

"Nope~ I'm never too old to wake you up. Now get up sleepy head, Virion wants us to see off Arthur." She said, leaving the room. Not moving immediately, I let out a sigh before reluctantly getting out of my bed.

Today was the day that Arthur was supposed to leave to head over to Xyrus City. Something about reuniting with his parents. I don't remember if he told me during the past five years, but it doesn't really matter.

Grabbing some fresh clothes from the drawer, I made my way to the changing room and looked in the full body mirror. I couldn't help but marvel at the fact that my ten year old body had come along so far in the muscle department.

I don't have giant beaming muscles, but really defined and strength pact muscles. Showing off just how much work I had put in during these five years...

Speaking of which. The most notable things I had achieved would be almost total control over my darkness and even greater ease in using my ice. The strength of my ice is that of steel and my darkness is... Well, even greater when it comes to power. I don't know what I can fully do with it but I feel like there's more to it then just shadow manipulation and generation of darkness...

Anyway, another thing notable would be my hand to hand combat and sword skills. I don't find myself using a sword though... Unless it's a bigger one, like a two-handed one. Those weapons are cool as hell.

Putting on my clothes, I then went and did my morning hygiene and then made my way downstairs to the front of the palace. Once I got there, I was met with the sight of Virion, the King, the King and Arthur all chatting amongst each other while a carriage carrying what seems to be other elven children, was waiting on them.

I also noticed Tessia, but she didn't seem all that interested in seeing him off.

As I got closer, the heads of all five snapped in my direction. Alduin and Merial just nodded while Virion and Arthur smiled a bit. Tessia hopped off the ground as well and came towards me, a ball of excitement as always.

"Come on brat, you're the last one we were waiting for." Virion stated briskly, rushing me to hurry up and say my good byes. Arthur's head snapped in his direction, a fake hurt expression on his face as he spoke.

"You're that excited for me to leave?... How hurtful..." He joked, his head lowering while he put on a pout. Alduin and Merial found it amusing while Virion seemed to find it... Disgusting?

"Bah! Cut that out, it doesn't match your character at all. Now hurry up Osiris, we have things to do today!" Virion informed, drawing confused expressions from everyone.

"Uh, yeah..." I said slowly, turning towards Arthur.

"... Be careful I guess, though I don't think you'd need my prayers." I said swiftly, keeping it short and simple. We did bond over the past five years, though our friendship never progressed as fast as mine and Tessia's did.

"Yeah, I will. See ya, take care." Arthur replied, getting in the Carriage and closing the door. The carriage driver turns towards Alduin and Alduin nodded. Taking that as his que, the carriage driver drove off...

We watched as the carriage drove off into the teleportation gate. Afterwards, Alduin and Merial excused themselves, leaving me with Virion and Tessia.

Turning towards me, Virion looked at me with eyes full of curiosity.

"So, what do you plan to do? I don't believe you have somewhere to go." Virion asked, rubbing his short beard. Hearing his question caused Tess to look at me with curious and worried eyes. Ignoring her though, I fell into my thoughts.

'He's right... I don't really have anywhere to go... Maybe I could just stay here or something, I doubt they would mind since I've been here for five years already.' Coming to a conclusion, I looked Virion in the eyes and spoke.

"Guess I'll be staying here. Like you said, I don't have anywhere to go and I don't really know what I want to do either... Though, I'm fine with leaving if I can't stay any longer..." I stated. Virion just looked at me for a while before shifting his gaze towards Tess, I looked as well and saw she was looking at Virion with pleading and expectant eyes...

'...Wow, she looks like a puppy right now.' I thought with a small smile. I returned my gaze towards Virion and saw that he was seemingly in his thoughts... So I waited.

A/N!

i ended the chapter at a weird spot. I know.

Anyway, yes the time skip was abrupt but I didn't really have anything planned after last chapters little interaction.

Yes, the stories starting to pick up a bit.
