Pouring out her worries

Her heart skipped a beat, she was somehow sure of what he wanted to do, she took some steps forward and stopped.

"What if you strangle me? Or do something so bad to me?"

He chuckled, "You sure do have a wild thinking," he smiled softly.

Seeing he wasn't posing any threat, she walked to the chair and sat beside him, clutching her bag of booze.

His eyes fell on the bag, "Oh, you came to drink? Everything fine?"

She looked away, why was she suddenly asking these questions?

"Why are you being so pokenosy? I don't like it," she scowled at him.

"Oh, I didn't mean to offend you, it's just that, it is quite a thing of concern you know, I just want to let you know I'm quite a good listener. You don't look fine at all."

She sighed, realizing the weight of his words, "I just want to drink it out, I can't take it anymore," she sniffed.

"Sure, do as you wish then," he shrugged.

She took out another bottle of booze and opened it, she quickly put it at her lips and took another big gulp.

"Whoa, take it easy!"

She gulped that down and turned to look at him, "Why?"

"Well, drinking will not actually erase what had happened, so.. why bother yourself all the more?"

She squinted her eyes, "Says someone who's already pie eyed drunk!" She added sarcastically.

He smiled, "I drank for pleasure, you're drinking your sorrow out, there's a difference you know," he shrugged.

"Whatever," she rolled his eyes.

"Hehe, just take it slow, you shouldn't rush it," he sounded pretty concerned.

"Does it matter? Why should I be slow? I don't care what becomes the aftermath, I just want to drown all my sorrows for now."

"Then wake up with a very bad hangover tomorrow?"

"Ugh!"

"Sorry," he whispered.

This time she listened and decided to take it slow and easy.

"See? It hits better that way," he grinned.

She nodded, "I think so," she sniffed, starting to get a little bit dizzy.

She took a few more drinks and soon enough she was getting drunk.

After watching her take another bottle and she could no longer take in, he took the bottle away from her.

"That's enough for now, you can't take in anymore."

"Give it to me," she said weakly but he gently refused, "No, I can't watch you getting over drunk, you're definitely not used to this and it would be very bad for you tomorrow."

She was too weak to try and take it back from him so she rested back on the couch, shivering and weak.

"Now you're feeling sick," he shook his head.

"I'm not," she snapped.

"Stop trying to act all strong, clearly, you're not, you're just bottling it in."

She looked at him with a surprised and pained expression on her face, "How could he say that to her?"

"You know I'm saying the truth, if I were lying, you wouldn't try so hard to drink all these bottles," he shook his head again.

She palmed her face and began to sob, "What else can I do? I'm tired of all these drama."

"Nothing's fine at home I guess," he spoke softly and she nodded.

He noticed the wedding ring on her hand, "Your husband? Is he the reason?"

She raised her head up, "How are you so good at guessing?"

"Things like this happen everyday so, it's an easy guess."

She exhaled, "I'm so unfortunate," her voice broke, "I don't know why I got married to him in the first place."

He came closer and wrapped his hand around her shoulders, "mmh mmh?"

"He's.. he's.." she began to cry again when the flashbacks of that scene came flooding in her head.

"He's what?"

"He's gay!"

He drew his head backwards, "Oh f*ck! Why did he marry you then?"

"I don't know," she croaked.

"That's really sad, when did you find out?"

"This evening, I had saw them together.. on the bed.. he was right on top of another man!"

He shook his head, "I'm so sorry, it must have really hurt you."

"Must have? I'm literally not in my senses right now!"

"I understand," he patted her back, "I guess it calls for a divorce then," he shrugged.

She stopped crying and wiped her eyes,"Divorce?"

"Yeah, don't tell me you plan on still staying with him!"

She sniffed, "I can't, I don't want to."

"Then leave him alone. He doesn't deserve such an angel, if it were up to me, I'd punish that bastard real good."

Her eyes were drowsy again and she rested her head on his shoulder, "I'm tired. I now see the reason he never wanted to touch me."

"Oh my."

"All my life, I've been living with a homosexual!" she cried again.

"Stop crying over a man who doesn't deserve your tears, you should leave him alone and move on. You way past that level."

"I don't think I am, I still love him, is it my fault?"

He was irked when she said she still loved him.

"Love him?" He scoffed, "Do you also love to be starved of desires too?"

She stopped crying, letting the question sink in her head and then she shook her head.

"No," she sniffed.

"So why cry over him? It's not as if he cares! He let you come over her to drink out your sorrow, he hasn't called neither has he texted! He doesn't care!" She could feel the rage in his voice.

"Do you think he'd want a divorce?"

"He's gay, he doesn't want to be with you, so he should definitely leave you alone."

She began to cry again, "Why me?"

He patted her back again, "I'm so sorry."

His eyes travelled to her right finger and he stretched out his palm.

"Put it here."

"What?"

"Your wedding ring."

She whipped her head up.

"Huh? Why?"

"That's because you should leave him alone, since he doesn't want you around, you should play along and let him go. So put your ring on my palm."
