Clashing authorities 2

   Mrs. Robinwood was startled, and turned to look at Jimmy

"Jimmy? You.."

"You heard me, don't even think of laying a hand on her again!"

Nora was shocked, and she gawked at him, "Huh?"

"She carries my child nother, the doctor had said to not put her in physical stress. Please, I don't want you to make it complicated."

   Mrs. Robinwood took some steps backwards in shock. Jimmy walked to a surprised Nora's side.

"Did she hurt you?" He asked with concern.

She arched her brows, and shook her head, 'No.. I'm fine."

He smiled, "Good, I don't want anything to happen to you and that child," he said softly.

   She nodded, "Thank you so much," she said breathlessly.

He embraced her, "I'll make sure you're safe, nothing should happen to you and the child," he patted her back softly.

  Nora was a little uncomfortable, and disengaged from the embrace, "Uh.. I.. have to leave, I want some fresh air," she ran out of the living room.

  Mrs. Robinwood stared back at him in shock, "Jimmy? You are talking to your mother!"

  He rolled his eyes, "You are playing with my child," he replied calmly.

  She gritted her teeth, "You! I'm doing everything to protect you, and you're being ungrateful!"

  He arched his brows, "Protect me by harming my child?" He asked calmly, his eyes flaring up.

   "Please, she is pregnant, the child is not even mine but I'm trying to claim the child as mine. Don't ruin anything," he growled lowly.

  She was frustrated and clenched her fists, "Such rudeness!"

Jimmy shook his head, his eyes rolling, "Oh please mother, stop whining like a child," he walked past her to a table, and picked up his phone to dial his lawyer's phone number.

   "Ji..."

"Let me do what I want to do in peace!" He snapped at her.

Just then, the phone rang. They both stopped in their tracks, "Hm?" It was a private number calling.

  That was very strange as not everyone usually had access to his landline, let alone his personal phone number.

   He hesitated for a moment, then he picked up the call, "Hello? Who's this?"

"Let's get straight to business. My identity does not matter to you," the voice said coldly, "I've heard you are having intentions of claiming my child, I would calmly advice you go back off!"

Jimmy's jaws slacked, and squinted his eyes, "What?"

"You heard me, I would not want us to have problems, so please back off before it's too late."

Jimmy creased his brows, wondering who this person was. He darted his eyes around, wondering who he was. His eyes widened when he remembered when he wasn't the father of Nora's child.

"Oh, you.. are the father of Nora's child, right?"

There was silence for the next few moments.

"Yes," came the reply.

Jimmy coughed slightly, "Don't be a coward and tell me who you are. A little bargain won't hurt," a smirk appeared on his lips.

Mrs. Robinwood came a little closer to Jimmy, listening attentively.

"Do you think you giving me one million dollars would help me? Tch, don't be so stupid."

Jimmy's smirk disappeared, and his eyes flared, "I'd give you ten!"

He chuckled, "Ten million dollars.. how poor. I don't want to repeat myself. Don't dare claiming my child as yours. I'll definitely come for my child, but not now," he hung up.

Jimmy was still in shock, and slowly put his hands by his side.

"Who is that? What did he say?" Mrs. Robinwood immediately bombarded him with questions.

Jimmy didn't reply to her questions. She got tensed, and held his right arm, worried, "Tell me. What is going on?"

Jimmy held his head, trying to take everything in.

"The father of Nora's child.. he..was the one who called me," he closed his eyes, and exhaled.

"How did he know you? Who gave him your number? Nora?"

He snapped his eyes open, "Hm, Nora," he growled.

He stomped towards the door, in search of Nora. Mrs. Robinwood shook her head, "I told him she was an ungrateful b**ch! He thought it was some kind of joke."

Nora was sitting in the garden, trying to clear her head.

"Nora!" Jimmy's voice resounded.

She jolted out of her reverie, and turned around to see what was amis?

He got to where she sat, and grabbed her hand, "Who is the father of your child?" He asked menacingly.

"What?"

"You heard me, who is the father of your child?"

She frowned, and shook her head, "Father.. of my child.."

"Answer me!"

"I don't know!" She replied.

He gripped her hand harder, "Tell me who he is!"

She bit her lips, and gulped, "I.. actually don't know who he is...it was like a.." her face reddened in embarrassment, "fling."

Jimmy's eyes widened,, "What? Fling? Who the f**k are you? Some kind of cheap woman?"

Her face burned with rage, and she pushed him away, "Excuse me?! You are the one who refused to f**k me! Don't you dare talk to me that way!" She yelled at him.

He was shaken for a moment, and took some steps backwards. He bit his lips when he realised that she was saying the truth.

"Damn it!" He punched the nearby tree.

"All this wouldn't have happened if you told me from the start that you were gay and would not want to touch me! I would have compensated myself a long time ago!" She added, fuming.

He clenched his fists, "Oh just stop talking!" He snapped, his whole body shaking with rage.

He paced forth and back that space, "I don't even know who he is. What am I supposed to do now?"

He had chills over and over again, when he remembered the guy's cold tone. He must really be a powerful person.

"F**k!"

He clenched his fists till his knuckles turned white. Nora rolled her eyes, "What is even the matter with you?"

"The father of your child just called me!"
