Chapter 24

They came down after awhile of struggling then came in through the window.On getting there,they saw Elvis and Skyler who Liam totally forgot about,the moment he saw his little girl friend climbing up the ladder to the roof top.When she saw they were waiting for them because he left them and approached her,she ran to her room.

After seeing her reaction,he said,

"the discussion will continue tommorow"they didn't argue with him not that he even gave them the chance to at the first place because immediately he finished his sentence,he trailed behind her.They looked at each other surprised by his sudden actions but none said a word about it.

Mia sat on her bed smiling profusely like a child who candies were bought for.The memories on the rooftop were playing in her head as if she was reliving every moments again.When Liam came in,that was the situation he met her in,he couldn't believe someone who almost died is smiling profusely because he has expected her to be trembling in fear that's why he even came to her room.He couldn't help but ask himself "is this girl a human? because she don't act like one"

When she lifted her eyes up,she saw Liam staring at her but lost in his own thoughts,her smile faded away and wondered how long he had been here with that look again,the look of a lost child who has been left alone in this world.She walked up to him and tapped in,he jolted back to reality but he was able to gain his normal posture quickly.He almost lost control of himself when her scent started filling her senses but luckily he didn't.

"I'm going to punish you for disobeying my order"he said with a firm tone.On hearing the word "punishment"she remembered what happened on her first punishment and her face quickly flushed red.The color red quite looked good on her face since he has seen it quite often but he was stupefied because she supposed to be begging him not she blushing hard.

She quickly dropped the thought thinking maybe her punishment this time will be something different.When she heard his voice saying,

"you won't go to work tomorrow"was that her punishment,she couldn't believe it. "you will be cleaning the whole house tomorrow and the maids will be on leave for tomorrow"he added.What!!!!she couldn't believe what he just said,was that a punishment it was torture, was he planning to torture her.He didn't know what didn't plan on punishing this way,he had a whole different kind of punishment for her but seeing her reaction to his word he changed his mind and came up with anything he could.

He walked out leaving her in her trail of thought.When she cane back to reality he wasn't there and decided to call Lucas at least to tell him she won't be going to work.She called him and told him,he agreed without any further inquiries as though he already knew she would call him or perhaps he was waiting for her call nevertheless she thanked him before ending the call.She slept early in order to rest well before starting her punishment tomorrow.She needed enough sleep so that she won't fall I'll and cleaning this mansion he calls house was something too impossible for only her to clean.Whem the maids cleans the house,they shared it among themselves but yet she encouraged herself.

"this is my chance to see the mystery that lies inside his room".She wanted to see his room so badly because since when she packed into his house,his room has always been a mystery to her.Havung so much thought convincing herself,she scumbled to the Lord of slumber.

When Liam came back to her room,she has already fallen asleep.He didn't want to disturb her so he quietly off the lights in her room so that he could rest himself.

The night was actually a very long one,that Mia got up from her bed panting.Shw had a nightmare and it was something concerning Liam.She couldn't get all in details but she prayed nothing had happen to him.

She left her room to check on him to assure herself that he's alright.When she got out of her room,she saw him sleeping in the longest couch in the parlour.He was sleeping like a dead person,he wasn't moving,He just remained there like a statue.She ran down to him after seeing him like that,upon reaching there,she saw him breathing which made her calm down until she noticed his breathing was slow and unsteady.He wasn't breathing like a normal human then she tapped on him.He woke up and saw her looking at him with those terrified looks,after seeing his eyes open she calmed down.

"what are you doing here"he said getting up from his sleeping position,his tone was sharper than the edge of a sword.

"I came to check on you because I had a nightmare about you which terrified me alot"she said sincerely and he could clearly sense the sincerity in her voice.He could see the dry tears on her cheeks

"don't worry, I'm alrighty"he said.Where did that come from
