Chapter 36: The Most Familiar Stranger

She saw him about to come up, Shi Youxuan quickly dodged from behind the pillar into the room and with a "bang," the door was heavily shut, locked just a moment before Sheng Hanyu could push it open.

Shi Youxuan leaned against the door, her heart pounding fiercely.

Sheng Hanyu stood outside the door, his voice anxious yet incredibly gentle, "Yixin, what do I have to do to make you believe me? Do I have to tear out my heart to show you?"

"I am not the person you are looking for, how many times do I have to tell you?" Shi Youxuan was on the verge of breaking down.

Sheng Hanyu persisted, "Just come out and let me have a look, if it's not the person I'm looking for, I'll leave right away."

Even though there was a door between them and they couldn't see each other, the person inside gave him a very familiar feeling, it couldn't be a stranger.
