For A Kingslayer, You Don’t Look Much

"Wait, wait, wait!" Heon said urgently, almost leaping to the front to grab Aaric's attention. The bald, old man turned his head, anyway. "What do you mean by reincarnation?"

Before he got the answer from the old man himself, Sunny interrupted. "Exactly as it sound. Duh!"

Heon ignored that and patiently waited for the reply. Even when it was disappointingly just, "As your friend said."

Shaking his head, Heon tried again. "I mean, reincarnation is possible here?"

"Yes." Came the short reply from the old man. "I believe it's not a normal thing in your world, hm?"

"Huh …" Heon stared distractedly at the empty space in front of him. "I never thought it's possible."

"Well, to say the truth, not everyone can be reincarnated."

"No? Then, who can be?"

Aaric started to walk back, climbing up the stone stairs as he replied. "People who don't die naturally and have many good prayers sent for them."

"So, the king will be reincarnated for sure, then?"

"Well, I truly hope not."
