Chapter Six

"I accept". That's what Alec said to the sea god. He knew the decision he took was to say goodbye to his life in the sea. Goodbye to the freedom he once had if he doesn't get a love first kiss, because he will be forever tied to the sea god in an agreement.

"We can still turn our backs on this". Basil said, still creeped out with fear.

"Yeah you can still turn your back on this, I wouldn't say I didn't warn you because once you sign this book". A book magically appeared that had a series of names in it. It must be the merman he had an agreement with, Alec thought to himself.

"There's no going back". He gave a cunning smile. Alec knew he wanted him to sign the book and add a prince to his collection of names and be forever indebted to him.

"I know please we should get it finished". Alec said ever so determinedly. He could feel it in his bones that the human is waiting for him on land. He would be wondering how he is alive and how he came to be on the shores. Likewise, he could tell him he's the one who saved him, and he will forever be indebted to the merman and fall in love with him, thereby getting his first kiss from him.

"I see you have it all planned out…. you're going on land just because of one boy land mortal". The sea god said.

"Wait, how did you know that". Alec asked, perplexed how he was able to know what he was thinking, Alec thought to himself.

"I have the gift of reading minds and to tell you the truth, of the human you're in love with". He paused, he was about to say too much.

"Now sign the book if you want the legs". The book swam to Alec's side, he picked up the pen and wrote down his name, every letter of his name was from his blood. The sensation was painful as the covenant was forming.

"There you go". He had finished signing his name to the book, sealing a deal with the sea god.

"What about you, Basil, wouldn't you want to sign your name"? The sea god asked, more cunning than ever.

"I will pass". Basil said.

"Wouldn't you want to follow your best friend to land and take care of him"?

"I will want to, but I can't sign out my freedom to you".

"What if I told you that your prince's sacrifice is more than enough to cover your legs too". The sea god smiled.

"Really". Basil said, somewhat excited.

"Not as if you're handsome or anything, I don't see anything special about you, but our prince here has it all".

"Now get out of my tunnel". He laughed sinisterly.

"Your legs will appear when you are on land and remember you just have 6 months to get true love first kiss, or your soul will forever be mine". He continued laughing.

Basil and Alec swam to the shallow waters, gradually reaching the sands. When they got to the sands, Alec could see the same old people that had taken the human inside when he had saved him from the storm.

Basil and Alec dragged their tail through the sands, their tail should have already been replaced with human legs, but they annoyingly stayed there in the sand and nothing happened, no transformation was coming forth.

"I think the sea god had played a swift one on us". Alec said to Basil.

"I think we should be patient a little, lucky for us, it's night and no human will be out here by this time of the night". Basil said.

"It's still early hours of the night, a human could decide to come for a swim…". Right in his words, Alec felt a sensation creeping around his legs, his scales were slowly disappearing and whatever knitted his tail was getting loose, and pale human legs were appearing.

"You have transformed". Basil squealed.

"Your own should be any moment now". Alec wasn't done with his sentence before another two human legs appeared in replacement of Basil's legs.

"We now have legs". Alec squealed with joy, still sitting on the sand. He doesn't know how to use the new features he had just been given, all he was used to was his torques color tail that cuts through many tides in just one sec.

"How are we to use human legs". Alec asked Basil, he couldn't find a way to stand up.

"I have been on this land before,, and I have watched how humans walk. It shouldn't be too hard". Basil said as he held on to Alec and pushed himself up that he was standing.

"Hold my hands and take your weight to your feet". Basil instructed.

Alec did as instructed, but he tripped in just two seconds on his feet. His legs felt so weak and wobbly, that he couldn't use them the way he used his tail.

"This is so annoying," Alec said standing up once again thanks to Basil, Basil seems to already have gotten the hang of it, how to use his human legs and Alec was being the weak one who can't figure out how to use he's yet.

"Mind you Alec, we're naked, and need human clothes. Any human to see us in this position will think that we have lost it. I mean insane". Basil covered his man bits from the prying eyes of any human who might happen to walk by, mistakenly.

"Where are we to get clothes then, I think I can hear footsteps".

"Someone's coming, let's hide behind that rock". Basil dragged Alec to the rock, not caring whether he knows how to use his legs or not.

"Human legs are so annoying". Alec thought.

Daniel was interested to know the details of how Jasper kissed a guy. He knew the boy was homophobic, so him kissing a guy is something very intriguing to listen to and how it happened.

"It's not such a big deal".

"No, I mean". Jasper stuttered a bit, nervously scratching his head.

"Well, it was this one time, as usual I was bullying Simon". Jasper cleared his throat as if the words somehow choked his throat.

"I pinned him to the bathroom door, I had gone in there to do my inconvenience, then Simon mistakenly entered".

"Well, let's say it's my fault for not locking the bathroom lock while I was at it".

"I felt embarrassed, so I wanted to equally embarrass Simon, I locked him to the bathroom door and locked our lips in a kiss".

"That's it". Jasper explained, waiting for the reaction from Daniel and Justin.

"Because you felt embarrassed, that's why you kissed a boy". Daniel creased his eyebrows in a frown.

"That's such a foul thing to do and so childish". Daniel was becoming a little stern.

"Daniel calm down". Justin said.

"Remember you asked for the details, and it's the details he gave to you, I don't see the reason you are worked up". Justin smirked.

"Please let's continue the game, so Jasper what should I do to you or what will you do to me". Justin asked Jasper who still couldn't place why Daniel was worked up, a while ago he was so ecstatic to know the details and when Jasper got it out, all of a sudden, he is worked up.

"Just request anything of me". Jasper said as if he no longer cared and was neither interested in the game.

"I still feel your number one statement is a lie… I want you to kiss Simon again, this time in front of Daniel and me". Justin smirked.

"Ok". Jasper answered.

"You didn't even object. I'm beginning to think you're a faggot". Daniel said with creased eyebrows with glares boring holes on Jasper's face.

"This is just a game Daniel, you don't have to take it all personal, it's just for fun". Justin snapped.

"What's it with you… you're being rude and harsh on Jasper and what if he's gay…he is our friend, and we should protect him from others, you of all people know that". Justin added, his voice laced with anger.

"Whatever". Daniel directed his gaze far from both boys to not get more agitated with them than he was.

"My turn". Justin sighed.

"1. I don't like Jennifer as I once used to

2. I want to kiss my best friend

3. I'm bisexual". Justin smiled.

"You just came out to us, Justin". Jasper said shocked, he returned to his normal self when he started playing the game, excited.

"When did you know you were bisexual". Jasper added, that he switched positions to come to sit close to Justin.

"I will tell you all that when you fish out my lie, number 3 could be the lie". Justin smiled.

Daniel sat by himself thinking about the three statements Justin made. Daniel knew Justin still liked Jennifer, no way he didn't because Jennifer was his girlfriend. In the second statement of him kissing his best friend, Daniel thought, Jasper and I were his only best friend and there's no way he had the balls to kiss anyone of us, it's like ruining our friendship if he tried it and then again It's unlike Justin to say something new, something his friends haven't heard of and of all time it was when we were playing a game, that should be the lie, number 2 and 3 are lies, Justin can't kiss Jasper neither I nor maybe he had a female best friend but even at that we should know, and she should have joined our clique and number 3 was total of it, Daniel thought.

"Number 1, 2, and 3 are all lies". Daniel stated.

"That's not the rule of the game, Justin, you should say two truths and one lie". Jasper joined.

"Of course, there are two truths and one lie". Justin defended never dropping his smile.

"You like Jennifer, Daniel, and I always see how in love you two love birds are. You may be bisexual,, so I think the lie is number 2". Jasper stated.

"So what's the correct one". Jasper bites his nails, anticipating.

Time slowed down as Daniel had his eyes on Justin, eager to know what the correct one is.

"Say it already, Justin". Daniel groaned, rolling his eyes as to how dramatic Justin could be occasionally.

"Well, the lie is". Justin paused.

"Well, the lie is there isn't any lie… they're all truth". Justin added, taking Daniel by the neck, Justin had sat close to Daniel

Before Daniel could process the information he was given, his lips met another pair of lips. His lips were locked in a kiss with Justin.

Justin kissed Daniel.
