Chapter 4

Micah was awakened by the noise he heard from his window. He stands up and opened his window. As he looked down he saw a piece of rock approaching him, luckily he dodged it. "Bloody chicken?" He said as he looked down at his window once more. When he saw who it is he rolls his eyes. "Alexa? What the hell?" He yelled. "You could've broken my window you know!" He added.

"Sorry! The door was closed and your mother wasn't there. I need to read." She yelled at him. Micah confusingly looked at her. "Who are you and what have you done with Alexa?" He whispered to himself as he goes downstairs to open the door.

As Micah opens the door Alexa immediately goes inside and placed her things on the nearest table. Alexa grabbed a paper bag from her pocket and handed it to Micah. "Have you eaten breakfast? Here I bought you some cheese bread, you're favorite." She said. Micah looked at her confused.

He reached for the cheese bread and assisted Alexa to sit down. "You're acting weird Alexa, it's not like you to go crazy over a book." He said as he took a bite from the bread.

Alexa glared at him. "I need to find out what that weapon is Micah. It can save the world and set us free from the war." Alexa said as she opened a book and bring out her notes. She looks at her notes with frustration. "But nothing in these books says anything about a secret weapon. Nothing! How is that possible?" Alexa said as she stares at the ceiling of the library and closed her eyes.

Micah takes a look from the books and her notes. "Maybe because the weapon was discovered in the present, and not in the past," Micah said. Alexa immediately opened her eyes and looked at him. "What are you talking about?" She asked.

"Well, there are two explanations for why the secret weapon that you've been talking about is not on the history books. One, by the word secret, if that weapon is called a secret weapon then, of course, there's a reason why they hide it and not put it in the history books. What's the sense of calling it a secret weapon if they'll going to let the world know?" Micah explained and looked at Alexa seeing if she gets it. "Uhm... Not everyone reads books you know, like me." Micah pinched her forehead because of her answer. "Second, the weapon was discovered when the war started. And only a few people know about it. Probably the leaders of each nation." Micah added.

Alexa looked at the books in front of her and let all that Micah said digest in her mind. "But what do you think it is?" She asked, Micah, shrugged. "Commonly a sword?" He answered.

Alexa stared out of nowhere thinking of how to know something about the secret weapon. "What if Wally knows about it?" She suddenly asked. "Then let's ask him. I'll just change my clothes." Micah said as he stands up from his chair and runs to his room.

As they entered the training room a bunch of warriors is sparring each other. "Fight! Don't hold back! On the battlefield, if you hold back you'll be out in a second." Wally yelled at the sparring warriors. When he glanced at the door he's faced formed a smile as he saw his top student.

"Now here's a real warrior," Wally said as he walks towards Alexa and Micah. "Good day Sir Wally." Alexa greeted him. "If I'm not mistaken it's not your schedule today. What brings you here Alexa?" Wally asked her.

Micah and Alexa looked at each other. "Can we talk about this in private Sir?" Micah asked when Wally realized that it was something important he immediately leads them to his office.

As they enter the office Wally offered them a seat. "So what is it that you want to talk about?" He asked. Alexa looks so tense and hesitant to ask it. "Uhmm... Do you know anything about the secret weapon hidden in Enchantia?" Wally's eyes widened as he heard her question. "Oh please, Sir don't say anything about this to my mom." Alexa pleaded as she saw his reaction.

Wally shakes his head. "No, no I won't." He simply answered. "How did you know about it?" He asked her. Alexa sits properly before she talks. "Mother accidentally mentioned it the other day. That it was the weapon to defeat Daxthar." She answers.

Wally stands up from his seat and walks towards his window and observed the children playing outside. "I'm not allowed to tell anyone what it is and where it is. For it's not yet ready to defeat the Guardian of life and death." Wally explained. Alexa looked down, sad for not knowing about the secret weapon. "But don't worry, if the weapons ready you're the first person that I will tell about it," Wally added, Alexa smiled at him.

As they walked out of the training room Micah noticed Alexa's down aura. "Hey, you've been a pretty good fighter. What about learning some spells?" Micah said trying to lighten up the mood. Alexa looked at him and smiled. "Yeah sure, let's go."

As they get home Micah immediately goes into his room to get some spellbooks. Micah and Alexa were classmates at Glam Academy when they were kids. But in middle school, Alexa dropped out and went to a Warriors school.

As Micah goes down the stairs he saw Alexa wandering around the library. "Oi Alexa, here you can use my old wand," Micah said as he handed her his first wand. Alexa reached for it. "Thanks." She simply said. "So... Can you cast any spells?" Micah asked as he laid the books on the nearest table.

Alexa takes a seat. "Well, I do know some healing spells and some levitation spells." She answers. Micah flips the pages of the book to the levitation spell and placed a feather in front of Alexa. "Alright, let's see it." Alexa points her wand on the feather, feeling hesitant to speak the spell. It's almost a decade since the last time she cast a spell. "Etativel." She said and the feather slowly floats from the ground into the air. "Brilliant," Micah commented. "Now let me just find some healing spells in these books," Micah said as he stands up from his seat and headed to the medical section of the library.

Alexa grabbed the book closer to her and explored the book. She saw a spell but the description isn't clear. But it shows an illustration of a feather floating. Alexa grabbed her wand and another feather. She placed the feather on the table and pointed her wand at it. She takes a glance at the spell before casting it. "Xepledo." As she cast the spell the feather exploded.

Micah ran to the table from the bookshelves with a book in his hand. "What happened?" He asked. "And why is the middle of the table burned?" He added as he saw the table.

Alexa grabbed the spellbook she used. "I cast this spell on a feather?" She innocently answered. Micah grabbed the book and his jaw dropped when he saw what spell she used. "Alexa! This is an Explosion spell." He said. "I'm sorry! I thought it's a spell about advanced levitation or telekinesis." Alexa answers. Micah sits down on a chair and laughs. "Well, that's what you get for dropping out of magic school." Micah teased her while Alexa narrowed her eyes at him. "Hey! At least I got what I wanted." "Yeah right." They both laughed at each other as they started cleaning the mess Alexa started.

Luckily the library's close for today and Micah's mother won't see any of the mess. Some of the other books from the shelves were blown off by the impact of Alexa's explosion spell. Alexa was gathering a bunch of books from the floor when she was about to grab the last one she saw another hand touching the other side of the book. It was Micah, the two looked at each other's eyes as they slowly stand up holding the book. Micah slowly takes the books Alexa was holding and laid them on the table beside them. Micah placed his hand on Alexa's cheek and admired her grey eyes. "I always loved your eyes." He whispered to her. Alexa leaned closer to his face. "And I always loved yours." She said as Micah pressed his lips against Alexa's they both closed their eyes as they both kissed each other.

They broke the kiss as they both breathe for air. "I'll walk you home," Micah said, Alexa giggles. "I prefer teleporting home." She answered. Micah smirked and grabbed some Glam Powder from his pocket and created a magic circle. Alexa stepped into the portal as she looks at Micah and they both smiled at each other. "Porttele." Micah cast and a second later Alexa opened her eyes in her room.
