There was still 4 days before the end of the deadline fixed by Wang Wei. The second lesson started weirdly for Wang Wei. Why is there so much people? Was the news of The Twin Godess making up already reached everyone's ears? Yes, those two beauties interacting with each other resemble an otherworldly piece of art but does it justify all this crowding? They were probably more than a hundred students gathered in the classroom. Why were the majority of them fixing him as holding a pen intensely? Were they waiting for him to strike a cool pose so that they could draw him? Are people finally realizing how awesome he is? About time!
The adults made their entry. There were approximately twenty of them including the principal and vice-principal. Was there an important announcement to make? Would they perform a surprise testing?
Everyone took their seats and it was followed by 2 minutes of awkward silence. Are they still waiting for something or someone?
The principal gave Shen Xiu a sign and she made her way toward Wang Wei. She whispered in his ears :
'' Precious little brother, the principal wants you to give a lesson. ''
'' I thought I was the one paying fees so that I could learn something. Are they really thinking I'll do it? Is he as stupid as the rest?"
" Please, do it for me. I'll owe you a favor. ''
'' I'll do it happily if it's for you. No need for favor between us. You teached me all about Inscription and it's something I won't forget. You're also very precious to me so don't hesitate to ask for anything. I'll do anything for you happily and willingly.''
This brought a beaming smile on Shen Xiu's face. Wang Wei was the only person who wouldn't judge or betray her. He was truly a noble person. She was also a little ashamed. She did introduce him to the world of Inscription but in the span of a week he already surpassed her. He still kept listening to her and getting tough by her even afterward. He accepted her selfish and haughty personality. He tried to help her improve in everything stealthily but she still caugh the purpose of his actions. Why wasn't she born 7 years later? She loathed her fate of having of what is closest to a fated soul being 7 years her junior. Wang Wei always appeared to a closest thing of what could be a perfect husband. Even if his looks doesn't have the noble bearing, his actions and soul compensated by far. It was probably because of those 'regrets' that she hit it off with now her best friend Yang Xin even when at the beginning there were only hostility. They are now 2 best friends that had grown too old for marriage but it's probably this similarity and having Wang Wei as a mutual acquaintance that brought them so close.
They would refer to themselves as the pathetic friends that could only be interested in a romantic relationship with a young boy. They wouldn't call themselves friends, usually teasing and mocking one another in a competitive kind of relationship but deep down the two knew that they were the best of friends. A friend sharing a same fate of a loveless life. Would they really be forced to adopt a cat as Wang Wei always said about old unmarried women doing it? They would need to make a decision sooner, they weren't getting younger after all.
Wang Wei was now facing the class. There was what appeared to be 2 scribes near him ready to write at any time. Was he nervous? Of course not. This is a barbaric world after all. The most 'profound' knowledge in the story was about some bullshit of some concept of infinity. Can these barbarians even picture something like infinity when they don't even know about negative numbers? At least they know about the concept of the number '0', that's a start. Teaching mathematics was tempting, since he was feeling that the number 24 drew lately his attention, feeling having some sort of affinity or connection with it but he quickly changed his mind when he got a gut's feeling that he should continue with the paradox's theme.
'' I am a liar. '' His first statement confused the people assisting his lecture, was all the things he said in his first lesson false? Did he used a trick with the drawing?
'' I knew you were tricking us. '' exclaimed Shen Yue finally getting a chance to step on Wang Wei.
'' So am I a liar classmate Shen Yue? "
" Yes you are a filthy liar. ''
'' Am I lying about being a liar? "
" No, you are a liar. ''
'' How can I be a liar when I am not lying about being a liar? "
" You were lying the last time and now that there's a large audience you're admitting it. ''
'' Classmate Shen Yue, it seems you're trying to discredit me. Since you're stupid to comprehend the meaning behind my statement, I'll use a more simple and dumb exemple for you. 'This statement is false' , this should be easy enough for the stupid you to understand. '' Shen Yue's face got red from anger. He was insulted before a large audience, this will not go unpunished.
'' If the statement is truly false then it should be true. Buf if it is true then it can't be false. What is it? Is it true, false, both? "
'' Let's use another situation. Someone got separated from his expedition. The people of the expedition found a scene where there were signs of battle with his blood spread in some places and bits of shattered clothes. Some people would assume that he was dead since there were traces of battle, blood and shattered clothes and that he was certainly eated. Some would assume that he was still alive since there's no body.''
Some were pondering, other were debating with their neighbors about the fate of this missing person.
'' You are all right but wrong at the same time. This person is dead and alive at the same time and this is what is called a paradox. ''
Wang Wei continued his lecture for two more hours before calling for a stop. There were a few breakthroughs and the higher-ups of the institute had beaming smiles.
Wang Wei took his leave fast, he still had more planning for the economic war to come.
Slow pace! So interesting or pointless? There are similar chapters planned. Should I continue as I am doing now or just mention it briefly ?
