Chapter 19

Nie wanted to go down the ravine so the group did. After reaching the bottom Nie Li looked around and pointed out a platform which Lu and Ning'er landed on. On the platform there were runes and inscriptions laid out everywhere.

Lu: Sealing Runes, offensive runes, and clearly a lot of other ones.

Nie Li: There's definitely treasures here since someone went to such lengths to protect it.

Xiao Ning'er: How did you guys know that this was here.

Nie Li couldn't come up with a quick excuse so Lu took out the map Nie Lu had drawn and showed it to Ning'er and Ye Ziyun. He had never told Ning'er that Nie Li had made and given the map to him.

Lu: This is a treasure map. We just followed it.

Xiao Ning'er and Ye Ziyun: Oh, where did you find the treasure map?

Lu: In the Ancient City Ruins, I picked it up because it seemed mysterious and interesting.

After getting away with it, Nie Li started breaking down the runes. Lu observed and learned a few things. He didn't have the proper skills so he didn't try to help. Of course he had the knowledge within his library but not the experience. He could always try another time, for now he just observed.

After an hour the girls started to get bored but kept each other company. Lu observed keenly and started giving out little pointers that surprised Nie Li. With Lu's constant help Nie Li was able to break down all the runes within three hours. Lu had learned a lot during this timeframe seeing the actual runes being deciphered.

The two girls who were sitting and chatting nearby noticed that there was movement and looked towards the two boys.

Nie Li: Let's go inside and see what treasures are hidden here.

The group went in and started walking through the desolate cave. There were many more runes that could kill them but with Nie Li's knowledge the group avoided the runes and continued. They wandered around the cave which seemed never-ending but eventually saw some light. As they wandered closer they felt some turbulent energy.

When the group reached the light they saw a spring, The Black Spring. The four looked around and found decayed bodies and some treasures.

Ninger: Wow, such strong armor! I can't even tell what rank it is.

Ye Ziyun: I found some as well!

Lu: They must be Legend Rank armor and weapons. Lets take them all.

Lu also collected the dead bones. Nie Li was observing the spring.

Nie Li: There is a barrier surrounding the spring. The spring is the source of the turbulent energy.

Ye Ziyun: Are you going to break it? 

Lu: Of course he is. With all this energy, imagine how fast we can cultivate.

Xiao Ninger: It's a lot of turbulent energy, can we even cultivate within the spring?

Nie Li: There's only one way to find out.

As Nie Li said so, he started to break the barrier. But before he could start something started to appear. With a bright light a humanoid figure appeared until the light dimmed down. It was a woman.

Ye Ziyun: Who's That??

The others were just as curious.

The person just stared at them as they floated in the air. Lu was the only one who knew who she was. Yu Yan, the Spiritual God of Fire. 

Lu: Hello Spiritual Goddess of Fire. Sorry to intrude.

Lu said as he bowed respectfully. This caught Yu Yan's attention. Such a figure and powerhouse, Lu could only show respect towards. Nie Li had questions for Lu but kept them to himself.

Yu Yan: I am Yu Yan, the Spiritual Goddess of Fire. Boy who spoke, what is your name, and what do you know of spiritual gods?

Lu: Greetings Yu Yan, my name is Lu. These are my friends, Nie Li, Xiao Ninger, and Ye Ziyun. As for what I know, I know that spiritual gods are those who have control over the powers of Law. With your strong law of fire, I determined you to be the spiritual goddess of fire.

Nie Li: What are spiritual gods? And what is this power of Law?

Xiao Ninger & Ye Ziyun: We would also like to know.

Yu Yan explained what spiritual gods were and the power of law to the group of kids and told them of the war with demon beasts. The war with demon beasts started because demon beasts wanted to take control of all the laws but the human race and other races retaliated and fought back.

Yu Yan: Are you interested in the Powers of Law? I will teach you if you are willing to learn.

Nie Li was very keen in learning as well as the two girls. Lu already had his boundless knowledge still took part. He could take the time to cultivate his understanding of time-space laws and the others. Xiao Ninger and Ye Ziyun wanted to become stronger, one for herself, and the other to protect Glory City. Yu Yan asked the group what Law they were interested in learning and gave them their perspective interests. The Law of Light for Nie Li, Law of Lighting for Xiao Ninger, and Law of Snow-Wind for Ye Ziyun. Lu didn't want to be too suspicious so he asked how he could cultivate the Law of Chaos from Yu Yan. Yu Yan opened the barrier surrounding the Black Spring and told them that the Black Spring was rich in Law energy. This was the reason why there was lots of turbulent energy. The Black Spring would make their cultivation faster and make it easier for them to sense the power of law.

Yu Yan: In order to get the best effects from the spring you must take off your clothes.

Xiao Ninger & Ye Ziyun: What!? Do we have to??

Yu Yan: Do not worry, I can cast a barrier which the boys can't see through.

Lu looked at Nie Li who whispered, "Damn it".

Lu(internally): He truly was a pedophile if he wanted it that bad. At least wait for her to grow up and mature first. If you did then it would be at least respectable.
