Chapter 12

The tree in Lu's Soul Sea was growing at a visible speed to the naked eye. After a couple minutes the light dissipated and the energy ran dry. The inscriptions on the coffin faded. Looking at Nie Li, he took out a bunch of water and drank it all. Lu turned his head to look at Xiao Ning'er and noticed that she seemed fatigued. She was grasping onto Lu's hand at the moment and was about to faint. Lu picked her up and laid her down away from the coffin.

Lu: Here, have some water.

Lu gave her some water and pills for her to recuperate.

Xiao Ning'er: Thank you.

Lu: No problem, after you recuperate, help Ye Ziyun.

Lu pointed at Ye Ziyun. Nie Lie was currently giving her pills so that she could heal. She probably tried to help the three the moment the light appeared but was hurt in the process.

After Nie Li gave Ye Ziyun some pills to heal, him and Lu went back to the coffin. The inscriptions were gone and there was no more energy surrounding the coffin. The seal was probably broken now. Lu took of the top tile and opened the coffin. Nie Li had a shocked expression. Like Lu had said, there was no body, but there was a piece of paper and a necklace.

Lu: A page of the book? That's weird.

Nie Li: Why would it be here? Just who is Emperor Kong Ming?

Nie Li was perplexed. Lu took the Necklace and turned away from Nie Li. He then made a copy and turned around.

Lu: There's two of them. Take one.

Nie Lie obviously was confused cause he definitely only saw one necklace but didn't question it. He took and and put the page away. Lu wasn't interested in the page because it wouldn't benefit him anyways. Nie Li needed it more.

The two boys walk down and sat down next to the girls. Xiao Ning'er has already dressed Ye Ziyun in new clothes.

Lu: Here, wear this. It's a special gem that will make your cultivation faster.

Lu said as he placed the necklace around her neck. Lu made the gem color of this necklace an orange-red while Nie Li had a purple-blue one, which he gave to Ye Ziyun. Xiao Ning'er thanked Lu and the three just cultivated and waited for Ye Ziyun to wake back up.

When Ye Ziyun woke up Nie Li just joked around with her and it seemed that their relationship was growing. After she recuperated the group left.

After about two hours they reached a room filled to the brim with treasures. This scene was mesmerizing.

Nie Li: Take what you like but save the rest for Chen Lin Jian and the others.

After Nie Lie said this he took a lamp.

Lu: Xiao Ning'er, don't hesitate.

Xiao Ning'er: En

Lu walked around looking at all the gold and treasures. There wasn't much that caught his eyes though. Lu eventually settled with some gems and anything he could use to refine an artifact. He would make something for Xiao Ning'er.

Xiao Ning'er: Have you found what you wanted?

Lu: Yea, I already put them away. You?

Xiao Ning'er: Yes I have.

She showed Lu some accessories and gems.

Xiao Ning'er: How will we get out of here?

Lu: Well, this treasure was buried here and Nie Li should have told Chen Lin Jian about the whereabouts of the treasure trove. So they should dig us out soon.

As Lu said this he pointed at some stairs. Not too long after saying that some people dug a hole through the dirt and light shown through the end of the stairway.

Chen Lin Jian led the group down and soon they started looting everything. Nie Li rushed everyone because he said he encountered the Dark Guild, an even group of people. Hearing this Chen Lin Jian listened to Nie Li and soon everyone was out of there. Having finished their goal, they all made a three day journey back to Glory City. The expedition ended.

The group of four parted with the expedition group and met back up with the gang. Meeting everyone, Lu could tell that everyone had made huge progress. Everyone was at least 2 Star Silver while Du Ze had already broken through to 4 Star Silver. He put in lots of hard work. He was truly a trusted and honorable person.

Lu gathered everyone and and told them his plan. Lu wanted to link everybody's soul realm just like Nie Li had done in the story. The difference is that Lu was doing everything in advance. The Soul Array that Lu was using was much superior than the one Nie Li had in mind. Lu drew inscription patterns on everyone's forehead. The patterns were intricate and complex. Nie Li used this as a learning opportunity and soon started helping Lu draw the inscription on everyone else. Lu drew on Nie Li's head and Nie Li drew on his. After everyone in the gang had the pattern, Lu passed out some crystals.

Nie Li: Where'd you get these crystals?! Their of such a high grade!!

Lu: Everyone has their secrets.

Lu just smiled at Nie Li. He obviously created them. He passed on to Nie Li and held one in his hand as well. He taught some hand seals to the rest of the kids and they all sat in a circle. After Lu's instructions, everyone started performing the hand seals. Soon everyone could start feeling a connection to each other. Lu was the catalyst as he combined all of their Soul Realms. One person at a time, he connected to a Soul Sea and linked his soul realm. Everytime a new person linked with his, that person could like with anyone else who was linked with Lu. Lu's Soul Realm was a waypoint for all of them. Soon everyone's soul sea was linked.

Lu then shocked everyone by sending his thoughts to everyone through their conenction.

Lu(internally): With this connection, we can talk to each other as long as we are in the same world, we can sense if one or another is in danger or hurt, and we can also share energy.

Saying so, he shared his soul force with everyone.

Everyone: So strong and pure?!!

Nie Li(internally): Why is your soul force so pure and different?

Lu: Because of my cultivation art.

Lu's soul sea compared to everyone else's was massive. He made everyone's soul sea look like pebbles nexts to a boulder. His soul sea was also a starting to turn green instead of its previous dark blue.

Now that everyone's soul realm had been linked, Lu wanted to help everyone breakthrough.
