Chapter 71: A short goodbye.

Taking a sheet out of the inventory, Luna placed it on the ground while Keiran placed the food on the sheep. The rabbit looked at the food with sparkling eyes and a little drool left his lips looking at the piece of meat in front of him.

"Here let me arrange the plate."

Keiran started placing two big plates and one small one for the rabbit. He looked at the rabbit's impatience with amused eyes. 

Taking a seat in front of Keiran, Luna started serving the cooked food and ignored the rabbit. The rabbit looked like someone killed its family when it was not given any food.

"You really like to tease the poor thing huh?"

Keiran chuckled at their antics and gave a small piece of meat to the rabbit which was on the verge of crying.

It looked at Keiran like he was some kind of messiah.

Luna scooted over to sit beside Keiran and started eating her, she leaned her head on his shoulder and gazed at the beautiful scenery in front of them.

Taking a bite of the meat she squirmed in ecstasy and moaned "Delicious~"

"You really like my cooking huh?"Keiran commented looking at her actions which were lighting a weird kind of fire inside his heart.

"Mmm~, Not more than you~." she squirmed as she ate another piece. She opened her eyes and saw a piece of meat on a fork in front of her mouth.

She turned and saw Keiran smiling at her warmly and waiting for her to eat it. Her heart started beating heavily as she opened her mouth to eat the piece of meat from his share.

'This is nice.' She thought and enjoyed the warm atmosphere between them.

The poor rabbit just looked at them ignoring it and decided to focus on its own food. 

After they were done with the food both the duo sat beside the lake and dipped their feet in the water.

"It is so nice here, I am so tempted to spend the rest of my life here." Keiran nodded at her exclamation as he was also a little tempted.

"But there are many things we have to do and this place itself might not last forever." Keiran muttered with a sad look on his face which was mirrored by Luna. 

Luna placed her head on his shoulders, she started hearing the rhythm of his heartbeat. Closing her eyes she focused her attention on it.

"Keiran, For me the place where you live will always be my Heaven." she muttered and turned to look deep in his eyes. 

Keiran looked back and found her eyes attracting him towards her.

The gentle eyes brimming with love and affection for him, placing his hand on her face he grazed her left cheek with his thumb and looked deep in her eyes.

"You are my Home and my life." Luna smiled at his words, it may sound cheesy to some but they held so much meaning to her because she knew what they had been through and what those words truly meant to him.

"Your heart is my heart, mine is yours to take!" Luna promised and leaned forward making her face come closer to him, Keiran taking the clue moved in closer.

His eyes never left hers as the gap between their lips drew shorter. The tip of his lips grazed her lips and their breaths collided, taking a deep breath Keiran parted his lips.

Their hearts were beating at a very fast rate yet they never broke their sync with each other.

The rabbit looked at them with curious eyes from the other side and suddenly it felt the hairs on its body stand up and a loud roar of the beast followed soon after.

*ROOAAAR*

The Loud roar interrupted their moment causing two huge killing intent to erupt. Keiran and Luna got up from the ground.

*SLAMMM*

They saw that a beast that looked like a mammoth was trying to destroy the entrance of the place by slamming its body into the trees. Fortunately The trees held themselves together because they overlapped on each other.

*SLLAAMMMM*

The beast did not give up and slammed its body once again. The rabbit hurriedly hid behind one of the boulders in the area.

Keiran charged at the entrance not wanting to let the beast destroy their sanctuary. Luna also followed behind him with similar emotions.

A sword in both of their hands as they attacked the beast from both the sides.

'A level three beast on the verge of breaking through to the next rank. Be careful!' Hearing the warning Luna nodded and Used her Yin based ice attack to slash at the back of the mammoth.

*SCREECH* 

It screamed in agony feeling an attack on its back. The beast did not sense them because of their necklace.

*RAWWRR*

When it saw them, The mammoth roared and attacked them with a water jet that released from his trunk.

With a flip in the air Luna dodged the attack skillfully, The beast followed her with the attack.

Keiran did not let the opportunity go and tried to sneak in on the beast but it was more vigilant this time and dodged the attack but one of its eyes was scratched by Keiran's sword in the process.

With a swing of its trunk he tried to hit Keiran with it like a whip but he dodged it by rolling on the ground.

The beast charged at the boy and used its front two feet to attack and slam on him. Keiran rolled and dodged it by a hair's breadth.

Luna covered herself with Ether and shards of ice started appearing around her which kept growing in size.

The air turned chilly attracting the attention of the huge animal. It saw The white haired girl firing ice shots at him at an incredibly fast rate.

Since the beast did not have the time to dodge the attack it used his water to block the attack. 

Since it was blinded in its right eyes, it did not see a sword aiming for its neck and slashing it off.

All the beast saw in the end was the two faces of its killers. 

"The wilderness is getting more restless these days." Keiran commented looking at the dead body of the mammoth.

"Yeah.." Luna nodded and stored the entire body of the beast in the Inventory. Feeling Keirn's questioning gaze she replied, "We can cook its meat in the future." 

Keiran just shook his head, feeling a tug on his clothes. He looked downwards to see the rabbit looking at him with glee.

"Let's go back!" Luna announced and Keiran nodded, the rabbit separated from Keiran with a reluctant look on its face.

'We might not be able to come here anytime soon." Keiran mumbled looking back at the scene that was dear to them.

"Yeah.." Luna also took one last look as if trying to memorize everything about this place and turned to walk away.

"Little guy stay safe, we will see you in a year or so." Keiran looked at the reluctant gaze of the rabbit and patted its head.

He followed behind the leaving figure of the white haired girl.

The rabbit stayed there until the duo were out of its sight and left the are entering the deep jungle.
