Ch.3 Rosé's Resolve

The next day, Rosé went to her parents to tell them what she wanted to do. They all sat down.

"Mother, Father, I have something to tell you. I want to become a Knight." she said.

" What?!" her mother yelled with her eyes widened.

"You foolish child, you know that there are rarely any female knights and they aren't taken seriously, why do you still want to become a Knight?" her father yelled in rage.

Then her mother calmed down and said "Honey why don't we try to get you engaged to the second prince instead? He may not become the next King but he is still royalty nevertheless."

"But this has been a dream of mine since I was a child. Please allow me to do this."

" No! A proper lady doesn't fight , she sits back and lets her husband do it for her." her mother said with her frustration starting to resurface again.

Rosé actually being a strong, independent woman from the 21st century, blew up with anger at her mother's comments. Then her actual personality came out.

"Do you here the crap coming out of your mouth right now?! I should stand back and be protected and provided for by a man, just because I was born a woman? If that's your idea of a happy life then I don't think you have ever truly been happy and you never will." There was a menacing red aura starting to surround her and it l got thicker and thicker as she got angrier and angrier. And her parents slowly started to back away.

"I refuse to sit back and be provided for and protected by I man when I could do that all by myself. My independence and freedom are the most important things to me and I refuse to have them taken away from me by your idea of what a woman should be! I WILL achieve my dream and become the best Swordswomen, and you WILL watch my tale.

Rosé walked back to her room with what seemed to be all the confidence in the world while her parents stood there shaking. Rosé knew she couldn't leave just yet because her body wasn't as strong as it used to be. So she was going to stay at her parents home until she was strong enough.

For the next three years Rosé trained her body, practiced martial arts and learned swordsmanship from her guard who was protecting her. His name was Gray. He was unwilling to teach Rosé any swordsmanship at first because he thought she was too delicate, but after he saw the resolve in her eyes and her intense aura he was convinced. Gray was the only one who believed in Rosé and urged her to follow her dream.

Rosé practiced tirelessly for months after her lessons with Gray for the upcoming Knight test. This was the test that would allow her to join a Knight squad. She was finally prepared and was more than ready to take on the Knight test. But first a quick haircut and wardrobe overhaul.:,-)
