The plain was immense and infinite, one or two trees rose on the yellow-greenish plane of the savannah, which with a very short thatch resembled a well-kept garden. In it only a scorching sun was the only being present in the landscape. No water, no birds, no animals; no noise in that monotonous landscape.

A herd of wild boars was grazing peacefully without any danger and relatively close by a deer that, indifferent to the sun, was nibbling the leaves of a flowering bush.

Suddenly the deer looked up and the wild boars stopped grazing, nervously looking around, until they finally started running away from the place.

The silent air spread a rhythmic noise that became louder and louder, until on the horizon a figure came running at full speed across the plain, and as it approached it became clearer to anyone who knew it.
