Rex knocks on the door pursing his lips at Indigo glaring at him for being late, "I swear I tried to be early, but the floor wouldn't swallow me up. I was stuck in there for the whole detention."
Indigo narrows her eyes she doesn't even know what to say, "Stop talking, you're making your situation worse."
Rex nods entering the house. He sits at the table excusing his lateness.
Rex's mother smiles at him, "Well, shall we eat?"
Everyone eats in silence until Rex asks for seconds.
"So, what exactly do you plan to do now?" Indigo's father asks his daughter specifically.
"I'll be enrolling at Roman High next year, if Rex promises to pull some strings and I do my third year instead of continuing where I left off."
Rex chokes on his water, slowly turning his head towards Indigo next to her, "For real?" He asks with a serious look on his face and Indigo smiles shaking her head.
