The Stray ghost had a System too.

"So what are you literary doing? Guarding your body all along here?" Frey's confinement turned out into a rash question for the roaming soul who approach him a while ago.

"You know, I wanted to leave and do something, but I just can't," he answered, playing his fingers into the table of the canteen. They decided to sit and have a cup of coffee to loosen up the stress they both had.

The dude's name was Victor, as he tells Frey.

"So you're saying that a House Guardian swapped body with you? And then you ended up having a System, just like I did, right?" Frey sip on the brewed coffee but eventually, she had curled up her brows and wanted to spit it out. She hadn't known it was that bitter.

"Shocks, it doesn't taste good."

"Food from the real world is different from the world we have. It was tasty on their buds but reciprocal to us." He pointed out the people who loved and even praise the brewed coffee on their hands. Frey had raised her left brows accompanied by her lips reacting too.

"Ugh! Why you don't tell me sooner, I should have picked that lemon on the counter, it would taste sweet.

The young man soul's gave him a forced smile, nodding. "Speaking of the House Guardian, yes, he took my body in advantage. I was too fragile and dying at that moment when I got robbed and stabbed on my way home. He said, I can take a bargain with him, he'll let me live if I let him borrow my body."

He began to detail the scene he remembers of the night he was contracted with the System. Victor looks uncomfortable and miserable, he must be annoyed by the situation he has now.

"Then, to my desperation, I signed it. And it was the worst decision I ever made. He lured and betrayed me." Victor gets a deep sigh before looking at Frey with his lousy gazes.

"He betrayed you? How was that possible?" she leaned her back on the chair's armrest while her legs were crossed in her front.

"Well, I failed to finish the System and he never returned my body. I was stuck up on that weak and unhealthy body of a seventeen-year-old boy."

Frey couldn't explain how he could show sympathy for Victor. What happened to him was terrible. Creatures with powers, magical, and mythical use them to get their desires in life. They are fond of swapping their bodies with them, humans.

Frey didn't get the idea that the Magical Creatures have difficulties and insecurities too, she never understand that they also just wanted to be normal as they were.

They wanted to feel love and to die.

But still, stealing and using human bodies is abiding their nature's Law. Frey then thinks about why the Afterlife council or even King Amadeus is not doing any move about it. Doesn't they track these kind of scenarios? Just like what Celestine does? If not, she must find out why.

"So who are you after you had been transmitted to the boy's body? I mean, you are Victor and where is your body now? Do you even know where it is?"

Victor put on the cup of coffee on the table and looks directly at Frey's eyes. He wanted to get help from her, and he knew he will trust the woman as they have the same problem in life. All he needs to do is talk to that House Guardian and reset the System. He will be going to do the Quest again just to succeed in it even if it will consume another year of his life span.

"Of course, I always see him almost every day."

"Really?" Frey got a surprised answer from him. She even banged her arm on the desk, for the impulsive feeling she had. "Where is he?"

"Actually," he paused. "He's with us. In this Cafeteria."

Frey's got a widened eye at the explosive announcement Victor spilled out. He is saying that his perpetrator is just nearby? She gotten the chills on beyond her back, so it only meant he was watching his body all the time.

"Tell me, who is it?" Frey desperately wanted to know who it was. She planned on beating him until she beg to stop, but that is if he was asleep. She doesn't know what House Guardian looks like and what things they can do.

"He's there. . ." Victor plastered his eyes straightly, his gaze is guiding Frey to where is the person he is talking about right now. The Grim Reaper, motioned her head at her side, pointing at the Counter.

She sees a man in corporate attire, tall, having a food tray in his hand he has an Identification card that states that his name is not Victor. She then throw a glance at the janitor mopping the side floor, he was about in his forties, wearing a baggy uniform in gray color. He looks motivated in his job, but then he turned out not to be Victor as his name was Harold.

Frey rolled her eyes. With the number of people in the Canteen right now, she couldn't easily find who Victor was referring to, not unless he pointed it out.

"C'mon just give me a sign who he was, I am not good at guessing," Frey whispered to him.

Victor leans towards her, his eyes are still and distant. His visions were filled with anger and regrets, he must be recalling the day he had last used his body. "He is the Director?"

"The Director?" Frey was bombarded with her mouth circled open. "You're joking."

Frey couldn't believe what he was saying, he was pertaining to the Director of the Central Hospital, the Multi-millionaire, and talented Victor Dimasalang–wait!

Victor also seemed to know what she was thinking, which is why he preceded and nodded as Frey was frozen like a statue in front of him.

"He wants to be me, that's why he didn't return my body. And I need him to return it, but he's been locking me in the boy's body for several years. He doesn't want my situation to be stable, that's why he took care of it personally. He wants me to stay in this situation." Victor could no longer control the hidden anger in his heart. His teeth gritted and his eyes were full of hatred at the man he pertaining to steal his precious life. He wanted to hurt the House Guardian but he couldn't do it in his current situation, being just a stray ghost.

"Wait a minute, if you changed bodies, that means you're the House Guardian now, right? Don't you have any skills, don't you know what a House Guardian is capable of."

"No, nothing because that boy is not his real body. He is also just one of many that he fooled, he is tired of being pitied and given the attention that's why he chose my body for money and skill as a doctor. The system helped me all along, but he still sabotaged it so I couldn't win the Mission."

Frey nodded. "So that's also possible, so I have to be careful."

"You don't need to be careful with your System, but with who you had swapped your soul. You should be smarter, don't let her control you."

She didn't respond to the man's guidance, even if he didn't tell her that's exactly what she wouldn't let happen.

"Okay, let's end this conversation. Go straight with me, I know you're going to ask me for help." Frey didn't waver anymore, she knew that this conversation would end there as well.

"Help me recover the body, in return, I will revive the patient in Room 89."

Frey stared at the man seriously, it didn't look like he was lying in what he was saying now, but she still needed to know the side of the House Guardian he was referring to. He was already traumatized by having trust issues.

"I will think about it."

With the sigh that Victor let out, it looks like he expected that would be the Reaper's answer to him. But he can't blame her, one of the things that is hard to do now is to trust.

"You also think about it first, I'll come back after three days, then you should tell me the whole details. What I mean whole as in no plotholes, no lies."

She stood up and put her hands inside her long robe. Seeing her outfit made her realize that she looked like a Halloween party attendee.

Grim Reaper doesn't look as scary as she had seen in Movies, they all just need a little glow-up.

Frey walks on her way out of the Hospital, head high and with a poker face. She knew Victor was hiding something, and he was just catching up to her and making a deal.

But on her way out, a middle-aged good looking man wearing white is preying her. He was indeed attractable beyond his old age. And on his long uniform attached acute size golden nameplate – Victor Dimasalang.

He can probably see her with your two human eyes.
