Difference between Realms in Martial arts!

Before he was not able to feel this because his body had yet to start training, but now it was different. He figured this instantly, but then again, he had another concern.

Why didn't he feel this when facing that old woman that helped train them. It was impossible that seeing those stronger than you, this would happen.
