Prologue

Liezel's annoyance towards the man only grew as the day progressed. She couldn't shake off the feeling that he was up to something, and it made her uneasy. As they sat in her living room, the man's piercing gaze made her skin crawl.

Suddenly, Liezel felt a sharp pain in her stomach. She winced and clutched her belly, causing the man to spring up from his seat in concern. "Are you okay? What's wrong?" he asked.

"It's the baby," Liezel replied through gritted teeth. "It's kicking."

The man's eyes widened as he too realized the truth. Liezel was carrying their child. "I had no idea," he said, stunned. "Why didn't you tell me?"

Liezel hesitated before finally admitting the truth. "I stole your sperm," she confessed. "I wanted a child, but I didn't want to be tied to you forever."

The man's face fell. "Why didn't you just tell me?"

"I didn't want you to have any leverage over me," Liezel explained. Her voice is cold and distant

"I wanted to raise this child on my own terms."

The man sighed, "I understand why you did what you did. But I still want to be a part of our child's life, and I want to be with you. Can't you see that?"

Liezel shook her head. "I can't trust you. Not after what you did. I'll raise this child on my own."

The man's expression turned dark. "You can't keep our child from me," he said, his voice low and menacing. "I'll do whatever it takes to make sure you never leave me."

As the hours ticked by, Light's patience wore thin. He had come to Liezel's home with the intention of making things right, but now all he could feel was anger and frustration.

'Why was Liezel so stubborn? Didn't she understand that they were meant to be together?' he thought

He paced back and forth in the living room, glancing occasionally at Liezel who sat on the sofa, staring blankly at the wall. He couldn't stand the silence any longer. "Why are you doing this?" he demanded. "Why won't you let me be a part of our child's life?"

Liezel didn't answer, and Light felt his anger boil over. "Answer me!" he shouted, taking a step towards her.

Liezel flinched at the sudden outburst, but still she remained silent.

"You think you can just steal my sperm and then keep me out of your life?" Light continued, his voice rising. "You're wrong. I won't let you do this to me."

Liezel's eyes flickered with fear, but still, she didn't speak. Light took another step towards her, looming over her now. "You belong to me, Liezel," he said, his voice low and menacing. "And so does our child. You can't keep us from each other."

Liezel shrank back against the sofa, trying to put as much distance between them as possible. "You're scaring me," she whispered.

Light's expression softened slightly, but the anger was still there, simmering beneath the surface. "I'm sorry," he said, his voice more gentle now. "I just...I can't stand the thought of not being with you and our child. I'll do whatever it takes to keep you by my side."

Liezel shook her head. "You don't understand," she said, her voice trembling. "I can't be with you. Not after what you did to me."

Light's eyes narrowed. "What did I do to you?" he demanded.

"You know what you did," Liezel said, her voice barely above a whisper. "You hurt me, Light. You hurt me so badly."

Light's expression softened even further, and he took a step back, suddenly looking vulnerable. "I know I messed up," he said, his voice quiet. "But I'm not that person anymore. I've changed. Please, Liezel, give me a chance to prove it to you."

Liezel shook her head. "I can't," she said, her voice firm. "I can't take that risk. Not with our child's future at stake."

Light's expression hardened once more. "You're making a mistake," he said, his voice cold. "I won't let you do this."

Liezel shrank back further into the sofa, feeling a chill run down her spine. She knew then that she was in trouble. Light's obsession with her was starting to spiral out of control, and she didn't know how to stop it.
