A fallen angel

Snapping his head upward and pointed his gun to the sky,but didn't see anything. After confirming that nothing was above him he kneeled to check the body. there was a hole in the chest of the fallen soldier.one who he recognized as like, one of the new recruits.

"They didn't tell me she can cut s hole in a person's body....unless..." coming to a sudden realization, he immediately got up and ran. Leaning into his walkie he shouted whilst running," All forces retreat I repeat all forces retreat. she's muta- " he was cut off by a distinctly feminine voice saying "Above you."

Fearfully looking upwards he saw the last sight hell ever see. A girl in a white dress and a cracked Halo staring down at him.

"That took longer than expected." said the 'Angel' as she started to fly down. Landing on the ground, she looked at the corpse on the ground." Fools all of them. Now, where are you?" Closing her eyes she searched around in her mind for a few minutes. This allowed her to find the find the small line leading into the dark, faintly glowing red. Snapping her eyes open, she spread her wings and shot in the direction of the line. Unbeknownst to her, a man hiding behind a rock frantically screamed into his communicator.

"Site 7b. she's heading for Site 7b. The rest of my squad is dead. She's mutated."

Walking out to the corpse left on the ground, he picked up the pure white feather that had fallen off when the 'Angel' took off. " Strange. The feathers aren't supposed to fall off." He remarked to himself with noone around to hear him

"C'mon where are you?" The angel said frustratedly as she flew in the direction of the red line, which was getting progressively brighter. After about 5 minutes, the line was at it's brightest color yet.

"A wasteland? That can't be right." said the angel as she floated above the barren ground. Her feathers fell and decorated the dead brown earth, even revitalizing it to a small extent.

"unless.... underground?"

The angel raised her hand and a ball of white and gold energy condensed in her palm. Facing it at the ground, a beam of white energy shit out and decimated the ground, sending debris flying everywhere below, revealing the facility hidden underneath and its contents. Even more feathers fell as she floated down.

"What is this place?" she said in disgust. lining each side of the wall was cells just big enough to hold three people. But they were filled with corpses. Or what looked like soon to be ones. Numerous people with horrible disfigurements that couldn't be described as natural. One person had numerous bone spikes sticking out of every visible spot of his body. Another had broken oversized skeletal wings. It didn't help with the fact that the owner of these wings didn't even look 9 years old yet. The area was filled with the scent of death. Walking quickly,and leaving a trail of feathers, she finally found the source of the red line. It was connected to a boy in chains. Under normal circumstances he would have been handsome, but numerous wounds covered him. He was the only person in chains, being held on to the wall by them. He barely looked alive and was severely malnourished.

With a small gasp the angel said," ETHAN! Oh my God what did they do to you!" Rushing up to the bars and ripping them off, she ran up to him. Ethan looked up weakly. It looked as if it was painful to even move.

"ale..Alexandra?...what.....what are you...." He coughed violently.

"I'm here to save you. We're gonna get you out of here." Alexandra said as she tried to rip off the chains holding him

"it's no use.....designed to....stop both of us."

" How did they even come up with this?" Alexandra said despairingly.

" Alexandra please....leave me....." Ethan said weakly.

" I-I no! No I refuse to leave you here!"

"Well, I was wondering who knew where this place was. Turns out it was you." Said a gravely voice behind Alexandra. Turning around fiercly, she muttered with intense hatred in her eyes,"Marcus. " More of her feathers fell to the ground.

"Hello Alex, it's been a while hasn't it?" said Marcus.

"You don't get to call me that!" she replied bitterly.

"Ouch, I thought we were friend's?"

"I AM NOT YOUR FRIEND!" She shouted as she lunged at him, before realizing that he was no longer in the position he was in before.

"Did you really think that would hit me?" Marcus said, now next to the chained Ethan.

"Hey you know,it'd be a shame if he were to die right now. We're this close to figuring out what his power can do." he said whilst makings. pinching gesture.

"DONT TOUCH HIM!" Alexandra screamed in pure rage, causing more of the feathers of her wings to fall. Marcus walked in front of Ethan."Well why don't you come and stop me?" he taunted.

Alexandra screamed again but didn't lunge. She instead started charging a ball of light in her hands. "Oh this is new." Marcus said intrigued by the ball of light accumulating in her hands.

"Go to hell!" She said as she fired the beam at him. A high pitched whine suffused the air as the beam pierced a hole in Marcus's chest.....or so she thought.

"AHAHAHAHAHHAHAAH! YOURE DUMBER THAN I THOUGHT!" Marcus said as he disappeared.

"Look what you've done you fool." said Marcus from inside the smoke and debris from the blast. When the dust had settled, it revealed the chained Ethan with a hole in his chest.

Alexandra fell to her knees in shock.

"Well looks like my job here is done. I'll take my leave now." Marcus said whilst slowly walking away. He stopped to pick up one of Alexandra s feathers that had fallen off and littered the field. "That's strange...these aren't supposed to fall off." He said to himself before quickly turning around. What greeted him was Alexandra getting up from the ground with tears in her eyes. All the remaining feathers had fallen of her wings, revealing dark devil like wings instead. Her Halo had been pierced by two horns that had grown out her head.

Jumping with incredible strength into the sky, Alexandra began charging an orb of pure dark energy in her hands. The energy crackled with red lightning.

"You fool! What do you think you're doing!" Marcus screamed at her from the ground. Unfortunately he had no way of knowing what happened next. The ball of energy exploded, and with Alexandra as the source, everything in a few hundred kilometers was absolutely destroyed.
