Surviving through the days

The world started to go to hell, so I decided to do the sensible thing at the time, write a journal recording my days of survival, my encounters and hopefully my companions…I hope so. The novel is being re-written!

the little signs were there, everyone decided to ignore them, at first.

You know, it's strange to know how much to enjoy something, without knowing when that "something" is going to end.

My name is Berto and this is my story… well, the story of how my life slowly changed since the beginning of the end of the world and the very probable human extinction.

It was a day like any other day in the life of a teenager.

Enjoy life, your job, and/or anything else that any normal person would enjoy.

The problem was that already at the beginning of that Friday morning, the world was no longer normal.

First day: the little signs were there, but everyone decided to ignore them.

The news started slowly, showing the cases as "Racial Violence" if, as if tearing a piece off someone's arm, was classified as violence and not a case of attempted murder.

Then slowly the same behavior began to be seen in various parts of the country.

Several adjacent areas of America showed separate, varied cases, but with the same pattern.

Extreme violence, aggressive behavior of the attacker and attempted murder and/or manslaughter, and cannibalism.

Some people indicated it as a horde of a variant of rage, the internet was the first thing to explode.

Content creators on YouTube started to lie left and right about different causes, racial motives, a virus that came from space, or an ancient virus that revived and came from a creature that was found a month ago in the antarctic.

And finally, the skeptics and religious people appeared, saying it was the end of the world.

To give them credit, they were only right about one thing, it was the end of the world.

Day two of the virus: Radio silence.

All was chaos, people in the streets were running and looking for safety, and the radio transmissions said only one thing.

--Stay inside your homes and avoid contact with the infected, secure your homes, keep property papers in order, and do not attempt to defend your homes, thieves, and looters will be apprehended and immediately criminally prosecuted, the military forces have approval for the use of lethal force…

It was chaos, broadcasters, and news channels continued to transmit the crude content to the entire country, and the United States continued to defend its soil.

Small clean-up and anti-separatist groups formed and showed on television what to do in the event of an encounter with the infected.

"Shoot him in the head, if he stands up it's because you failed!"

Bang.

Bang.

The news was raw, savage, and sadly necessary.

"My friends, I don't like doing this, but it's a necessary evil, if that's what we can call it."

The news spokespersons were dumbfounded at the content but refused to say anything against it, it was for the good of the people.

now a novel of a person surviving the zombie apocalypse I wonder what will happen in the story
