Prologue

The world ended.

Months after the gates of hell opened, drowning the world with countless monsters and treasures, millions have died.

A year after the world ended, as if mocking how the humans barely survive the havoc by hunting the monsters using whatever they got, a system appeared. It gave the "chosen ones" power to save the world. It brought hope for many. It brought a higher chance of survival.

Three years after the world ended, peace seems to have reign over the world once again. Infrastructures were repaired, schools opened once again and everything seems to be back to what it is before.

But that's the case for those in countries like USA, Korea and Japan. That's the case for countries who prosper even before the world ended.

And Philippines is not like that.

When the world first ended, millions died. In this country alone. It brought fear, grief and hopelessness.

A day felt like a year.

A week felt like a decade.

A year felt like centuries.

It took some countries overseas three years to experience peace again. Three years in the Philippines still felt like hell and war. Specially to provinces like Laguna.

For people who doesn't have much in its arsenal, the Hunters from overseas who came and train the Hunters in this country brought so much hope to them. Even after some abuses that "hope".

Even then, as Philippines started to have a higher chance of survival, even after others felt a small sense of peace in the country and praise the rotten system, others can't.

They loathe the gates that brought countless treasures and fame.

They loathe abusive Hunters.

And they loathe the system who have given others hope only for them to die at the end.

They loathed everything as they only brought continuous grief, anguish and hatred to those who were left behind.
