Aurora and the others slowly distanced themselves from the mages. If caught up in the ensuing battle, she knew they would meet their end before understanding how they died.
Perhaps the mages had lost interest in Evident, or maybe the lady in the air was the sole threat worthy of their attention. Whatever the reason, they did not attempt to halt their retreat.
"Y-you little... Who the hell are you!? Do you have any idea what family you're dealing with!?" shouted the mage who had fought Evident, appearing to be the group's leader.
The entire battlefield came to a halt; even the magic circle spewing the massive forest stopped, as though suppressed by something.
The spell resulted from several high-tiered scrolls combined, with enough energy to cover multiple cities with giant roots and trees. There shouldn't be any way of stopping it. Yet somehow, this devil had managed to halt its progress without even damaging the magic circle.
