Chapter 5 - Regaining Freedom

In a luxurious looking room sat a woman. The woman has a curvy body with long blond hair and a face having emitting a noble aura. She is the principal of the Royal Magus Academy, Iris Lexton.

Iris was sitting on her chair in her office and opposite to her also sat a beauty who had a royal feeling about her. Behind that beauty stood a old man. The beauty was Yvette Emerson, the princes of the Kingdom of Lucidonia.

"Your highness, are you really sure about this?"Iris said after hearing Yvette words.

"Yes I only want him as my magic partner."Yvette said.

"But---", before Iris could finish her words someone knock on the door.

"Principal it's me Lux, I want to talk to you about something"

Hearing this Iris was about to told him to come later as she was busy but after some consideration she asked him to come in.

As Lux enter the room his gaze fell on Yvette. He was surprised to see the princess in the office but remained calm and greet her with a slight bow," It's an honor to meet you princess"

Yvette responded back with a slight nod and said," Nice to meet you too. So your name is Lux hmm. It has a nice ring to it."

Lux don't understand why she said his name has a nice ring to it but responded with a smile and said," Thank you princess"

"You can call me Yvette as I will be attending this academy from today."Yvette said to Lux smilingly.

"Also as I was discussing with principal Iris I want you to be my magic partner"said Yvette

Lux was surprised again. He cannot understand why she was so interested in him.

Before Lux could respond to her, Iris said to Yvette," But your highness Lux cannot be your partner in magic as he cannot attend the academy because of his status of an errand slave"

Hearing this Yvette said," That's easy I will buy his freedom from you How much is it?"

Iris was dumbfounded as she doesn't understand why the princess want only him as his magic partner. But she was also happy for Lux as he can be free. She was about to agree with Yvette's proposal but a voice interrupt her.

"Thank you for your kindness princess but there no need for you to do that" Lux said to Yvette

He was somewhat wary against her as he could not understand why she is being so generous to him.

Hearing his words Yvette said," You don't want your freedom?"

"I do want my freedom but I don't want someone else to buy it for me. I am generous for the princess to care about my freedom but you don't have to do that as I also came here to talk about my freedom"Lux said.

"What do you mean",Iris said to Lux.

"I want to buy my freedom and also want to enroll in the academy" Saying this Lux placed 1 gold coin and 3 copper coins on Iris's desk.

"Where do you get the money" ,Iris said.

"Sister Leita gave the money to me on loan" Lux said as he continued,"So can I now have my freedom and acceptance letter"

Hearing this Iris immediately did the formalities and give Lux the acceptance letter for the academy and also his slave contact.

Lux tears his slave contact. He felt good after doing that as he is free now.

"Thank you principal"Lux said.

"Aslo regarding Yvette's offer I will consider it after some thinking ",saying this Lux was about to go when Yvette said to him

"See you tomorrow in class"

He return her words by saying the same words"See you tomorrow in class "

After that he leave the office and came to academy grounds.

After coming here he feels different. He was feeling freedom for real for first time in his life.

"Now lets shake this academy with some supreme magus journey"
