Supreme Magus (No Solus)

(Indefinite Hiatus, I feel like I proved my point with this work and no longer feel any desire to continue it for the time being.) All work and no play has made Dereck McCoy a dull boy. He will do whatever it takes to fill his empty soul in the next life. With powers bestowed upon him by the incomprehensible laws of magic, he will strike down eldritch horrors in pursuit of his one pure dream. [I intend for this novel to be a fanfiction and "rewrite," so to speak, of "Supreme Magus," the plot will be somewhat consistent with the original. But as this is a rewrite, I will not be copying; "Supreme Magus," word for word, bar for bar, on parts that still take up similar plot lines. Despite removing Solus, The most considerable change will be Lith's character. Specifically, I plan to make Lith less evil. Read the "Why am I doing this?" chapter for clarification. I plan for this to be a new experience that doesn't need any introduction to the original, and if everything goes as I hope, it will be an improvement.] Cover-Art: Me, If it looks mid, just put it on the fact I don't know how to use Blender, and drawing with a mouse sucks af. Editor: Grammarly, Grammarly is my father. ------------------------------------------- Tags: Transmigration, Male MC, Western Fantasy Schedule: Whatever my "Super Smash Bros: Ultimate" KDR for the week was. Chapter Length: Whole Lotta Words. (legion20 spelled "lenght" instead of length, lol.) Mc is a paranoid, antisocial, cold-blooded killer who'd do anything for power. -------------------------------------------

Why Am I Doing This?????

At first, this chapter was supposed to be a joke. I would punch holes into some of the nonissues of this story. While not explaining my real intentions. Maybe to keep it half-hearted and stop me from taking this seriously, or because I didn't even think about the real issues. But it was quite literally impossible for me not to see those issues over and over again.

I am talking about Lith being a horrible person. If you read Supreme Magus, you probably have a vague idea of what I'm talking about. If you think I'm talking about Lith killing people or anything along those lines, you're wrong. It's because he was evil.

For example, I don't think Fang Yuan from Reverend Insanity was evil. Fang Yuan did many horrible things throughout his life. Ex: Fang Yuan made a bear eat a girl while she was still alive. The difference between Fang Yuan and Lith is Fang Yuan never did anything out of satisfaction and only did what he had to.

Things Lith did for no reason:

1. He tortured children, framed them, and then got them disowned. (Chapter 15-Chapter 16)

2. The whole situation with Orpal, including the family disowning him. Although some would say he deserved it, he was less than ten years old. It was entirely Lith's fault, IMO.

I will continue to update the list as I continue to reread the story.

Torturing children alone is undefendable and a clear sign that Lith wasn't a "baddie" but instead a sadist. The way he acts in the story is more like a lunatic than anything else.

If it weren't for Solus, the story would be completely unreadable. Instead, I'll fix Lith's character from the roots and stop Solus from becoming a character.

I hope this isn't a waste of time.
