REALIZATIONS

Alex drove off leaving Matilda's residence thinking out loud, 'What have I done? I had a wonderful thing going on with Matilda, I wanted to be selfish with Maria too and now it looks like I'm going to loose both of them. What do I do?

I have not been in this situation before where I have to juggle between ladies and I just fumble the two of them.' Alex gets home and decides he needs to do something to blow off steam.

He calls his trusted friend, Francis, who tells him he is even on his way out so he narrates everything to Francis that he messed up and Maria caught him with Matilda.

He decides to heed to Francis advice and go hang out with Francis. So he meets Francis and then they head torwards this exclusive club party. They got to the party and it looked like the party had reached its climax with the whole place being crowded and noisy.

Alex feels out of place because he is thinking about Matilda. He sits down and starts going through the text she sent and he realized that the chance he had with both Matilda and Maria is probably gone.

Alex feeling out of place at the club , Francis notices it and tries to call some ladies to come and keep him company. They tried to, and after drinking a bit and all, he still feels this isn't the right thing to do.

He tells Francis that he is not feeling the vibe and he heads home.He gets home late and decides to sleep it off.

The next morning he wakes up very tired of the hangover from last night and everything starts to dawn on him. He decides he is going to call Matilda so they talk.

He calls her and after ringing a couple of times she does not answer, he decides to leave a voice note where he apologizes and tells her that he didn't mean to hurt her and he is sorry and he waits for her reply.

During that period, he decides that, henceforth he is not gonna juggle ladies. He is going to stick to one if the need be.

He just decides he is going to use the Sunday to rest and reflect. He does not do much and the day ends quickly before he knows it.

Monday morning he wakes up freshens looking sharp and heads to work. He looked down and not himself.

Emily, after exchanging pleasantries with Alex noticed he did not have his usual smile/smirk but rather had a gloom look so she decides to ask the obvious.

Alex is something wrong with you and Alex says it's nothing, she shouldn't worry about it. But she still bothered and Emily goes to see Emma, his PA, in case she can get any information and Emma is also as clueless as Emily because Emma was not around him that particular weekend.

They had to assume or guess that something bad had happened.

It left the atmosphere in the office very different and during lunch, Emily decides to approach Alex to confine and see what happened since she felt they had built some sort of personal relationship.

She approaches Alex and he shuts her down and tells her it's nothing so she should just forget about it which she agrees. They got back to work.

Later in the day, Emily received an email highlighting that businesses, young businesses, start up businesses, had to enter a ruffle to be in a competition which is like where young businesses will pitch what they seem to achieve in the next five years if they're successful .

The businesses that will be picked,will be given promotion and advertisement and they will win some money.

Emily confronts Alex about it to see if he was interested and he decides to enter that competition seeing it as an opportunity to get the companies name out there.

They prepared a pitch for the competition and after getting all the details right, Emily submits the request.

Little did they know that David, Alex's competitor also submitted his various companies into the competition giving him a bigger chance of being selected since he had about four to five companies under his wing. Alex feels this is an opportunity to get his mind off what recently happened so he decides he is going to put his all in it to make sure he wins this competition.

The competition was set to start after a few months and each company was come in with their team of two when they're selected.

Alex decides it will be best to go with Emily since she basically had all the knowledge about the company at her fingertips.

He calls the team into his office to inform them on the upcoming competition and also on his decision to represent the company with Emily.

This did not go on well with Kathleen since she felt Emily was being favored but she keeps her thoughts and opinions to herself .

Alex tells Emily to wait behind as they leave his office .

As she takes her seat he asks her if she's capable of handling such responsibilities .

Emily told him she was going to give in her best to ensure they win .

Alex decides since they have a few weeks to prepare why don't they set up meetings in respect to that.

This catches Emily by surprise as she knew this was an opportunity to get close to Alex possibly win him over.

She agrees and they decide for now it will be best if they had their meetings in the office which bursts her bubble.

The moment Emily walks out of Alex's office Kathleen comes in and asks Alex what happened to their proposed discussion they scheduled during the general meeting.

Alex sensing disappointment in her tone decides to make it up to her so he tells her that they can schedule it for this weekend. She agrees and offers her residence as a meeting place. Alex did not read much into it so he readily agreed.

He tells Kathleen to talk to Emma so she can schedule it in his plans .

He see's his phone ring which he quickly tries to pick thinking it was Matilda but instead it was Francis.

Kathleen excuses herself seeing he had a call and it was the polite thing to do.

Alex responds to call.

Alex : hey bro , how's it going?

Francis : nothing much my guy, I was calling to check in. Never heard from you since you left the party on Saturday.

Alex : I'm sorry about that. I was just not feeling it and felt it was best I left. How did it go?

Francis: That's fine. I was worried about you. The party was lit and I was able to go home with the fine girl in the red dress.

Alex : Really , that's impressive. You've always been the ladies man .

Francis: hahahaha. Well now you seem to wanna take my position.

Alex : hahahaha. I seem to suck at handling more than one woman on my first try.

Francis : don't worry you'd get over it with time. Trust me. I got work piled up so I would hit you up later.

Alex : okay that's fine . Let's talk later.

Alex hangs up the phone and it dawned on him that he had a lot to learn about women.
