"...Him?" Jonathan blinked in surprise, then remarked casually, "Yeah, I noticed. He was mad and hesitant when he faced me."
"You noticed his hesitation, yet would still kill him unhesitatingly if faced with him, right?" Meteor asked.
"It's hard for me to put my life in someone else's hands," Jonathan replied. "Hypothetically, Meteor, if we met on a battlefield and Venus ordered Fox to kill me while I was severely wounded and vulnerable, do you think Fox would obey?"
Meteor paused before admitting, "I don't know."
"If even you don't know, how can I be sure he'd defy the order to spare me?" Jonathan smirked, "He might not want to kill me, but he's still a puppet without a mind of his own. Between him killing me and me killing him, I choose the latter."
"I get what you're saying," Meteor nodded slowly.
"Why did you tell me this?" Jonathan asked, head tilted.
