"Ordinary creature tree-termite killed. No beast soul gained. Eat it's flesh to gain 0 to 10 ordinary geno points randomly."
A happy surprise, Ren noticed. The ant held enough food for one mean. Without cooking the mean Ren quickly dismantled the ants meat and eating it raw activating a geno art to avoid unnecessary sickness from eating raw meat and any disease it may have.
"Flesh of tree-termite eaten. One ordinary geno point gained."
…
While keeping an eye on the dirt tunnel, Ren was fast enough to kill two more ants. One passed by every minute or so.
"Ordinary creature tree-termite killed. Beast soul gained. Eat it's flesh to gain 0 to 10 ordinary geno points randomly."
[ordinary creature tree-termite: beast soul type: finger guard]
Finally earning a beast soul with his own true merit held a stubtle pleasure. Summoning the finger guard he had no clue how it was usable in anyway except for maybe protecting his fingers. Even though that seemed pointless.
Hanging around the area for an hour or so eating a dozen ants. He no longer gained any geno points from their flesh successfully earning 30 ordinary points he felt a bit stronger and three finger guard beast souls in total.
Continuing his journey he stayed within a few miles of the shelter partially circling the shelter.
He stumbled upon a few ordinary squirrels each avoided him by climbing the nearby trees, untill he finally got one.
"Ordinary creature silly-squirrel killed. Beast soul gained. Eat it's flesh to gain 0 to 10 ordinary geno points randomly."
Dismantling the corpse and directly consuming the meat ignoring its taste. Ren didn't notice the taste last time, because the ants tasted fine, but the raw squirrel meat tasted almost like spoiled grass.
[ordinary creature silly-squirrel: beast soul type: whistle]
Happy he got the beast soul on the first time though slightly disappointed with the lack of combative usefulness they'd offer.
Shrugging he summoned the whistle planning on seeing if it had any special effect.
*whistle*
He immediately noticed an odd effect. Looking up he noticed a gray sparrows eyes light up red and dart at him. Stunned Ren quickly parred the blow with his z-steel dagger.
His arm was pushed away with force from the impact. Widening his eyes, he internally screamed, 'primitive creature.' What's more the bird seemed to be in a beserk state, even tough it shouldn't be possible in the 1st sanctuary.
Not taking any chance, Ren summoned his sacred-blood armor over him while he kept trying to avoid and block the blows of the sparrow.
Noticing his dagger take visual damage, he begun blocking the sparrows attack with his sacred-blood armor by swatting the bird everytime it came near.
It seemed his armor was his best weapon as the sparrow begun appearing beaten. Notice the glow in the eyes of the bird dim, he hypothesized the whistle would agrivate serounding creatures into aggression.
Coupled with the confidence of wining the fight. He blow the whistle, noticing the Birds Eye regain its red luster and increased aggression.
A dozen more exchanges and about a minute later.
"Primitive creature gray-sparrow killed. No beast soul gained. Eat it's flesh to gain 0 to 10 primitive geno points randomly."
Sighing in relief and dissatisfaction for not getting the beast soul. Ren sat down to catch his breath, unsommoning his armor and inspecting his partially damaged dagger and the bird's corpse. Now noticing that the bird seemed a bit big but not too big about the size of his head a little bigger.
Taking his time to dissect the corpse he consumed the meat this time it tasted fine, but left a fishy after tast, chalking it up to the bird diet, even tough it was a few miles away from the sea.
"Flesh of gray sparrow eaten. One primitive geno point gained."
Successfully gaining eight primitive geno points he could feel the strength difference. All eight primitive points felt almost equal to the entirety of now 39 ordinary geno points.
Contemplating wether to call it a day. The last fight took a lot out of him. Dicided to summon his raptor mount. He rode out of the grove at a slower pace than the mounts fastest speed disire to stay quiet and sneaky to lookout for any easy use hunting opportunities.
On the way back he attempted to hunt a few more squirrels successfully taking one more out he consumed the meat to gain only two more ordinary geno bring the count up to 41.
Unsummoning his mount upon reaching the shelter he went back through the teleportor making his way back home after a eight hour sanctuary excursion.
Telling his father all about the day, while listening attentively. His father pulled out a S-rank, A-rank and two B-rank saint hall cards requesting Ren to begin practicing in geno arts.
He left Ren to his own devices. Instead of getting more geno arts. He traded the passes in for an equal amount of geno fluids to help him further solidify a few geno arts he already had a proficiently in to his past endeavors when he was younger.
3 S-rank geno fluids for one S-rank saint hall pass, 1 S-rank geno fluid for one A-rank saint hall pass and 1 S-rank geno fluid for two B-rank saint hall passes.
The 5 S-rank geno fluid could further be converted for 2 evolver S-rank geno fluids and one A-rank evolver geno fluid, but dicided against it.
Investing in some long-term geno-arts he already had a proficiency in and was gonna rely on the extra fluid to make a breakthrough, he'd again have to wait an extra week to get the fluids from where he lived.
Spending the next week in and out of the sanctuary his ordinary geno point rose to 91, and primitive to 53.
He was strolling through a sandy forest, viligantly stalking a primitive deer creature while cover in his armor.
Watching it nibble and lick some moss on a tree. He executed a geno art to hide his presence as he slowly advanced on the unaware creature. Upon 5-meters away the deer perked it ears up.
Internally sighing at my lack of proficiency, expecting to be able to reach the deer unnoticed. He paused before executing another geno art Simultaneously to silently launch a burst of speed to assinate the unmoving deer.
Decapitating it's head.
