While Ren himself didn't choose a weapon, opting to use his fist because that was the only weapon he had at the moment in the sanctuary's.
Informing the system that he was ready to fight, his opponent followed. The system sensing the situation begun a countdown, before announcing the start of the fight releasing the wall the isolated the two fighters.
Facing each other Ren could only dodge the opponents dagger lest he lose a limb, and cripple himself in the fight.
Heavly relying on his movement technique, he noticed his opponent followed suit activating a movement technique of his own.
Increasing the pressure on Ren he was in a difficult spot, not really know how to fight an armed opponent without a weapon of his own.
But that's part of the reason he dicided to practice fighting. So he preserved, trying to think of solutions while desperately evading all attacks his opponent threw at him.
It wasn't long before Ren was injured by the blade, not allowing the damage to be in vain he also mangaged to get a hit in.
At the cost of half his health and a lost arm, he was o lot able to inflict 20 damage.
As the fight dragged on Ren was defeated, zeroing out on his in game health points.
Ren continued sparing online for a few hours.
He had combat expirance from the academy, but without an opportunity to spar with an instructor he could almost never learn anything from spars with his peers. While the academy also didn't teach you to fight with and against geno arts.
Taking note that his previous opponent was not a beginner in the least. Having a number of sword skills not to mention the relatively high level movement technique, Ren was proud with lasting as long as he did in his first try.
Movement technique were a crucial component to combat almost a necessity. But Ren didn't have a movement technique atleast a decent one.
The bests solution to this problem was acquiring Heavenly Go. But didn't have any confidence in learning it atleast with permission.
He did though watch people with known highlevel movement techniques for insight. Though it wasn't enough to satisfy Ren.
The easiest and probably quickest way was to find and learn of the Dongxuan sultras movement technique.
It was apart of Rens plans for the first sanctuary, though an extremely high level movement technique wasn't necessary at the moment.
He could spend about half a year traversing the terrain in the first gods sanctuary to reach it now.
It was better to travel when he needed to explore more to find specific Lu sacred and super creatures.
The current area he was in had a perfectly fine abundance of creatures all the was up to mutant creatures.
Sacred-blood creatures were rarer but if you were on top of things could get the needed geno points in a year if you stuck to one area.
With the water area better preserved than the rest of the area, Ren was confident in his ability's to cut that time down significantly.
The next day Ren re-entered the sanctuary not to hunt but to consume as much of his previous stocked geno meat jerky.
Earning a few primitive and only a single mutant geno point. Ren wasn't yet confertable with his performance in the VR martial hall.
Planing on sending a few more days training online while he consumed his leftover meat. Half a week passed now with 59 primitive geno points and six mutant geno point not neglecting his ordinary geno point the plan for the day was to max out his ordinary geno points, maybe hunt a few primitive creatures. But Ren disired to challenge another mutant creature the most.
Making his way out of the shelter he was stoped by a group of military personal and a small group of normal appearing hunters.
"Halt young man!" A subordinate of the military spoke, sizing Ren up and down. "Hmm, you look a little new. Newbie! you may not know so I'll make it brief. Due to unforeseen weather events in the area the military has mandated only groups of five or greater to venture out of the shelter at this time."
Taking note of the sky, nothing seemed to be wrong with the weather, just a bit dim and cloudy contrast to the normal sunny atmosphere.
Nodding in acknowledgement, not disiring to argue, even though he was pretty confident the military didn't hold that authority, he could sense nothing but pure intentions from the soldiers. "If you want to go out now this group is looking for a fifth member, their should be more around is similar circumstances, or you could wait the weather out it's estimated to pass in a month or so." Another soilder clarified.
Not fond of waiting another month. He glanced at the group of hunters nearby, sensing they were willing to accept him with open arms.
Ren could help but over analyze thing. Not wishing to be betrayed. He was confident of running from a sacred-blood level awakened, but not a group of them.
So activating a geno art, he judged the groups strength. Three of the members seemed to be like himself, newbies only amounting to primitive boarding mutant geno level. While one appeared to be a caretaker of some sort. Much older and having a strength close to sacred level, he nodded.
Introducing himself, "Hello I'm Suzyu Ren, just call me Ren, I'd love to complete your group." Not wishing to forcing himself into the group dispite the energy they reflected hinting they'd welcome him with open arms.
The older man nodded in satisfaction. Probably needing to take his clients to hunt and wishing for an unknown weaker fill in. Rather than a stronger one that could risk thing, knowing Ren was new to the sanctuary.
One of the other group memeber didn't seem pleased disiring a stronger companion and was about to speak him mind. The girl of the group spoke before him, in an exited manner. "Yes that would be great! My name is Su Yuki, just call me Yuki brother Ren."
The displeased guy seemed even more displeased seeing the flower of their group acting all chummy with the new guy, about to again speak his mind. The third member held him back and likewise introduced himself warmly. "Hello friend, you can call me Jin Dae."
Calmed but still irritated he listened to there leader speak. "Well welcome Ren, my names Hye Hwan." He spoke motioning for the last member to introduce himself. All annoyed he spoke with disdain, "Hmph! It's Sook to you."
Rolling his eyes briefly, Hye Hwan continued. "If your all ready to head out we can leave now."
Ren nodding and following the group by the side out of the shelter. Was berated with questions from Su Yuki. "Brother Ren, how long have you been in the sanctuary?"
Responding briefly, "Close to a month."
