044 Calling Him Childish

Her daughter had always depended on her since she was young. When she slept, as long as Emma hugged her and leaned her face against her, she would be able to sleep peacefully. However, this bastard had so easily captured her daughter's little heart, allowing herself to succumb to sleep in his embrace. How could this not make Claire angry? She was so angry that her whole heart ache. When she came out of the shower, she saw that the man is still hugging her daughter and did not let go.

He was sitting on the sofa contentedly, while the little girl slept soundly on his arms. The fire in Claire's eyes almost made her rush over and snatch her daughter back. "Don't talk!" Dempsey lowered his enchanting voice when he noticed the woman rushing to him.

The words that Claire was about to say were stuck in her throat. She forgot what she was about to say. Why did she have to listen to this man's words? "Give me back my daughter." As she spoke, she was about to take the little girl from the man's arms.

"Let me hold her for a while." Dempsey's gaze rose as he stared at Claire with his oppressive sharp eyes.

Claire instinctively froze her movements. 'This man's eyes are scary.' But why should she be afraid of him? Her daughter is hers. Now that the man is unwilling to let her daughter go, how could he dare to threaten her with his eyes? "No. I have to take them home!"

The man's voice is still low, as if he's afraid to wake the little girl in his arms, "You want to bring my children to meet your lover?" He asked, full of mockery. He emphasized that the children are his.

Claire was startled. How did this bastard know that she was to meet someone? 'Had he overheard my phone call?' she thought. 'Or perhaps, his thoughts were just terrifying to be able to see through people's hearts?' "It's none of your business." Claire became angrier, and she could not help but increase the volume of her voice. She wasn't afraid of waking up her daughter. Anyways, she is going to bring them home.

When the man noticed that she was doing it on purpose, his gaze turned cold. "I definitely won't let my children view another man as their father."

When Claire heard his ridiculous words, she was so angry that she couldn't help but laugh mockingly. With her hands on her waist, she looked at the man in disdain, "You're not a little boy. Why are you still childish? I've raised the children by myself all these times. I can do whatever I want. It's none of your business." She is purposely angering the man. Who told him to be unreasonable as he is about to steal her children?

This is the first time that Dempsey is being scolded as 'childish'. This is his biggest humiliation and a hit to his self-esteem. "Do you believe that I can get someone to chase you out now?" The man warned her coldly. The pair of terrifying eyes are filled with dangers.

When Claire, who had been standing arrogantly heard that he wants to deal with her violently, she instantly shut her mouth. However, her eyes were filled with intense dissatisfaction and protest against him. "Where is my son? I'm going to find him." Since Claire is unable to take her daughter back, she could only look for her son. Her son is her little man who would be willing to help her.

"You can have Uncle Gary take you there." Dempsey wore a stern face and is extremely dissatisfied with Claire Scott.

Claire looked at her sleeping daughter in his arms, and angrily said, "When my daughter wakes up, she will definitely look for me."

Dempsey frowned. Where did this woman get her confidence from? His daughter is his and he can certainly coax her well. He didn't need her.
