The play II

— I'm the greater god of Olympus, but I began being an ill-fated emperor of a pitiful country. — An ancient voice said, it's hard to believe that this voice came from a teenager.

— Now I'll recite a story that will be known for generations. — The voice got full of reminiscence and proud. — When Lee finished the sentence, the theater curtain closed.

Some seconds latter it opened, but this time he wasn't alone, but with a girl.

— Zeus, you should think twice before doing such a thing, our country may fall upon your choices. — A woman voice, full of wisdom and concern, said.

— Hera, I'm the emperor, and I, this moment, declare we are in war against Troy. — His voice full of arrogance and underrating his enemy.

That day on, they kept in war, but because of the emperor decision, Greece fall. It happened because Greece had won a war a year ago, but they were regaining their strength, so when the war begun, Troy won using the beat and run tactic.

Again the theater curtain closed and when it opened, Zeus wasn't using his emperor clothes, but he was dressed like a common folk.

— This damned king, he killed John. That bastard, he kidnapped John's wife, and killed him. — Lee voice was full of rage, he was uncapable of accepting reality, all his body trembling, his eyes red, grinding his teeth was the only thing kept his away from losing control to the anger.

— Calm down, Zeus, what could we do? We are just some random villagers in this country. If the king raises his finger, we would be dead. — Hera's body trembled as she said, she was furious, she knows what hothead decisions could lead to, so she had to stay calm.

— We're already dead, Hera. — Zeus shouted to Hera, they had lost everything already, and now one of his few friends died, and his wife is kidnapped by that disgusting self-proclaimed king.

— Shut up, Zeus. — Hera shouted, her hand flied into Zeus face, and a loud sound of a slap could be heard.

— It's because of things like that, if you weren't a hothead, our country wouldn't fall. Don't you see, Zeus? We have each other, but if we raise against him, we may fall in the battleground and achieve nothing. — Hera eyes that were already weary, now are dropping tears, she already lost her country, she can't handle lose her husband too.

— I won't risk losing you, Zeus. — Her voice was so low that if Zeus was a meter away, he wouldn't be able to listen to what she said.

He seemed to regain conscience, so he embraced Hera, his hands still trembling, he whispered in her ear.

— We gonna get our country back our we'll die together, Hera. — His voice full of determination, he was once an emperor, he wouldn't flinch in his decisions.

The curtain once again closed, but now, for the last time.

Zeus and Hera were surrounded by countless people, they had no weapon, their bodies were full of scratches and blood flown like a river from them.

— Hera, I can't hold them anymore, run or everything will fall apart. The king is at the Coliseum, go and kill him.— He said, repenting from his past decisions, he made up his mind to protect Hera until the very end.

— No, Zeus, if you fall here, I'll fall with you. I'm sure Ares can handle him alone — Hera looked at Zeus, her eyes shone with determination, she once said that they would die together, and she would be sure to keep her words.

After hours of fighting, all the enemies were on the ground, what once was a green hill, now is a mountain of blood and bodies all around.

— Zeus, don't you dare die right now, not before me. — Hera voice could be heard, full of fear, she was holding Zeus, who has a hole in his chest.

— We should die together, you promised me. — Hera said, Zeus body was light, like if he had no weight, that was terrifying to Hera, seemed to her that if she didn't hold him tight enough he would die from the fall.

Zeus, with his last effort, raises his hand, his touch full of love on Hera's face.

— I'm sorry, but I can't keep our promise. — Zeus said, each word he finds hard to say, blood coming out of his mouth each time he spoke.

Hera couldn't find words, she kissed the man, who was once lively and youthful, now he is cold and his heart's not beating anymore.

The theater was completely silent, even at the end of the play, all you could hear was the numerous people crying, but suddenly, everyone stood up and a round of applause begun.

It took five hole minutes, until the crowd quiet down, I'm feeling something I never felt before. So, this is the joy of your work being acknowledged.

Right now, The only thing in my mind is this euphoria, it's really hard to breath, feels like I'm flying. I never thought someday I'd get something like this.

It's been a long time, but I couldn't stop the tear dropping, it has flown like a river in my eyes, I felt my heart being washed away of my past fears, every scream of fear I had is now silent beyond this crowd.

As I'm watching Lee, I realize how good he is, don't matter if he's a narcissist, to be honest, looking at him on stage, if he wasn't narcissist would be something wrong.

I have never seen a performance similar, his feelings, his voice, each of his body movements felt like another person, like Zeus.

I felt goosebumps when Zeus died, I could feel the once powerful man, now just clinging on the verge of death. The cold kiss he shared with Hera in his last moments, I couldn't hold my tears.

Also, the Hera, I can't even start with how she changed this hole play, she and Lee are what made the play something special, the other crew members aren't anything compared to them.

Honestly, I took some time to realize the play had come to an end, I was too shocked, but when I heard an applause I and everyone on that theater done our bests to give them a huge round of applause.

I was looking at Lee, he felt so distant, not the boy who says silly things, is narcissist, and flirt all the time, but he has an aura of a star, when he's on stage.
