Federal Investigation

It was a day after the New Year in Washington D.C. and many people had gone back to their business as usual. But no other place would be busier than the Federal Bureau of Investigation also known as the FBI. In the hallway, an agent, who worked on a very long investigation, ran in the hallway to bring the Director some very important news.

The door opens wide as she sees the director looking at a very large monitor that maps every investigation in the United States from investigating child predators to federal crimes.

"Director sir, I really want you to look at this!" the lady panting as she ran down a long hallway.

The director looked the cigar away from his mouth. "What is it? A predator who tried to meet a child over a cupcake, terrorists?"

"No sir. It's an investigation that we've been investigating for over thirty years. It's in Iowa."

"Iowa?"

"Yes sir. From our satellite, we've recently discovered that more people have been going missing in the hundred mile radius of this small town in Iowa."

"And what's that small town?"

"Sunshine Valley sir." The lady giving him the folders of the investigation

"Sunshine Valley? Never heard of that place."

The Director looked at the big monitor. "Search up Sunshine Valley in the state of Iowa."

The large monitor then looks at the state of Iowa mapping the whole area of Sunshine Valley.

"As you can see sir, I've been on this investigation for a long time and from the 1990s, people had started to go missing."

"Okay so what's your point?"

"The point is that as you can try to fast forward the year to 2020, the rate of people missing has been increasing exponentially going from few people per day to nearly one thousand people per day."

"Oh my God."

"And that number will keep increasing for the years to come."

The Director looked down to try to think. "Very well then. We're going to put a search warrant for the mayor. If people are going missing near Sunshine Valley, it'll most likely be the mayor that's responsible for it."

"Sir, should we try to call the mayor before putting a search warrant in?"

"No. A person who had been kidnapping people for thirty years shouldn't have a call. They knew what they were doing and should never be forgiven for those actions.

The director then picked up the phone. "This is the Director here. I want an FBI division in Iowa for search warrants for the mayor in Sunshine Valley."

The phone responded. "Copy that sir, we sent a truck of a swat team ready to conduct a search warrant."

A swat truck had driven to the small town in the evening where they would be approaching Sunshine Valley with officers armed with assault rifles and body armor.

As the truck had made it to Sunshine Valley, their job was to find the house that the mayor lives in and conduct their search warrant. One soldier, who was a new recruit to the team, had seen a figure from the back window of the truck as it was just staring at him while being on the street behind them. The driver tried to find where the mayor had lived until they found a place where they assumed that the mayor had lived, which they saw was a big mansion.

Parking under the sewer drain, the new recruit decides to get out of the swat truck and discover the premises of the mansion to form strategies of surrounding the mayor.

Meanwhile, the other soldiers in the truck heard a small hissing sound and they didn't know where it came from.

"Hey, do you guys hear that hissing noise or am I just having another migraine." The swat soldier looked around.

The soldier then tilt his head to the floor as the hissing was louder near there. He put his ear close to the floor until he recognized something.

"Oh my God."

Suddenly, the swat truck exploded behind the new recruit as the truck flipped over while it was in flames.

The new recruit looked behind him being in shock as it was unexpected and not knowing where the explosion came from.

"What the! What was that!" The new recruit walked towards the burning truck.

As he approached, he investigated where the explosion came from. What he saw was that the explosion mostly came from the sewer drain as he noticed the sewer lid had come off when the explosion happened as well as the lid was also burnt.

"This must be an ambush attack." The recruit is in terror.

He put up his rifle getting ready to see who's hunting them down. "Show yourself."

He then screamed. "SHOW YOURSELF."

"This is the FBI and you're under arrest for-"

The new recruit then got rammed over by a truck causing every bone in his body to be broken. He was immobilized and couldn't move a single inch as the truck had run him over.

The truck came to a stop and the door opened. When it opened, someone came out of the driver seat of the truck. It was John Decker.

John walked to the new recruit as twirled his truck keys. "You think that the government can stop me?!"

John then picked up the assault rifle from the recruit's hands. "What makes you think that you can come to my town and try to raid my house?"

"W-who are you kid? Why the hell did you run me over?!"

John then stepped on the recruit's broken hand leaving the recruit in pain and agony. "Answer my question. Why did you and your friends try to raid my house?"

"Look kid. We're here because we got a search warrant for the mayor and-"

"What mayor? The only person leading this town is me. I'm the GODDAMN mayor!"

"Y-You! How are you the mayor? You're just a kid."

John twisted the recruit's hand causing more pain in him. "Oh you innocent man. You want to raid my house because you think I'm stealing those around. But I'm giving these people better lives. A sanctuary where we can all be happy."

John then pulled the handle of the rifle. "And you people are in the way."

John then pulled the trigger causing a full-auto fire against the recruit leaving him dead on the street.

"Yeah. Come to my town and ruin my paradise." John then threw the rifle to the air which would then land to the ground.

Later, the ear mic on the recruit's ear went on and someone's voice came on.

"Report in. We heard gunshots. What's happening?"

However, as the new recruit is dead. No one responded to the other side.

"Come in."

However, no one still responded.

"This is bad." The woman leading the case put her hands on her mouth.

"There's a threat that's bigger than the eye can see." The director looked at the map.

"We need to keep going deeper into this investigation. So what should we do now sir?"

The director had looked down as he had no idea what to do as one of the swat teams came down.

Then, he had an idea. "This might feel like a suicide mission but we need one of our agents to investigate the town. The more information we get, the more we can know and plan our next move."

"But sir. Who are we sending to investigate? Most of our agents are busy in other states."

"I know who." The director pressed a button on the large keyboard.

"Send in Agent F5, I repeat send in Agent F5."

Soon someone entered the control room. He then came down the ramp as he approached the director.

"You need me sir." Agent F5 standing on a tall stance.

"F5, I need you to go undercover to investigate this town in Iowa. Our group of men had gone missing and I need you to see what has happened to them. There has been some strange stuff happening there that we don't know and I want you to report to us what is happening."

The director then showed his hand towards Agent F5. "Can you handle that?"

"Yes sir." Agent F5 shaking the Director's hand.

Agent F5 had taken one of the FBI's Chevrolet cars and took a road trip from Washington DC to Iowa as he was really dedicated to his work. As he was on the road, Agent F5 had his eyes on the road for the whole time. As he drove for thirteen hours, he felt like he was tired as he wanted to close his eyes. On the road, it seems that he saw a figure. However, he closed his eyes as he was tired from driving for more than half a day.

Suddenly, the car came off road and started to drive on the grass. As the grass was really bumpy, it woke up Agent F5 as he didn't know that he drove off road. But what he didn't notice was that he was driving towards a giant rock. With his quick reaction, he put his foot on the brakes causing the car to go to a full stop.

"Ah dang. Maybe I should get some rest." Agent F5 told himself.

However, as he looked to his left, he saw that he made it to Sunshine Valley as he landed really close to the billboard welcoming those who came to town.

"Is this the place the director wanted me to be in?"

Agent F5 had used his earpiece to contact the director. "This is Agent F5, repeat this is Agent F5. I approached Sunshine Valley. Should I investigate what's happened to the swat team?"

"As you should." The director was serious when speaking on the earpiece.

As he got off the earpiece, he then started up the car again and drove towards the town to investigate the team that went missing. Being inside the town, he drove around town to find where the team was. Finally, he found what seemed to be a burned upside down truck with a dead swat officer with many bullets to his torso.

Wanting to know the situation, Agent F5 got out of his car and brought out his handgun feeling that he's not alone when seeing the dead officer. He would see the many bullet holes that killed the new recruit and saw that his rifle assigned to him killed him. But Agent F5 doesn't know how someone else got possession of his rifle. Another thing that he saw was the upside down truck that was filled with burnt officers.

Being concerned, Agent F5 got on his earpiece and reported to the director. "Director sir. The swat team is dead. I don't know how they got killed but I'll investigate more about this town and find out more about this place."

"Thank you Agent F5. Keep us updated about this situation." The director then got off the ear piece.

Agent F5 then looked around him as well as the big mansion right next to him. "What is going on here?"
