The Thrill Of Combat

Entering the restaurant with the other Lin Tao looked around. This place was really grand no matter if you looked at the design or the building's materials. The second they stepped inside middle-aged woman wearing a red dress greeted them.

However, something seemed to be a bit off with the greeting itself, she seemed hesitant. The others didn't notice this but Lin Tao did. Ye Men paid for their table as the four of them entered into the main section of the restaurant. There were dozens of tables and people mortal and Cultivator alike were eating away happily.

The middle-aged women took their orders before leaving to the kitchen. In the center of the table were customary fruits to be eaten as a light snack while they waited. Lin Tao picked up an apple and bit into it. While he was eating Lai Mai spoke to him.

"Sir Wukong I've been meaning to ask but what exactly is your cultivation level at?" Up to this point, he had been assuming Lin Tao had some kind of cultivation suppressing artifact. But then he heard even his Master Elder Cao couldn't sense Lin Tao's cultivation. It had to be known that Elder Cao was an Earth Profound Realm Cultivator.

With his perception, there were not many things that could escape his eye. Listening to Lai Mai's question Feng Mu and Ye Men both looked interested as well.

Lin Tao thought about it for a moment. He knew Sun Wukong used a type of energy named Qi while normal Cultivators use Profound Energy. As for himself? He hasn't used any type of energy since he obtained this new body.

Even fighting the Yin-Yang Snakes he had been relying on his physical strength. He didn't know where to begin when it came to attempting anything else. He had tried meditating and other method's on his way here but nothing worked.

"I suppose I-" Lin Tao was going to answer however he was cut off when they heard a yelp.

"Ah!" It was a woman's scream. Looking over the four of them saw a group of Cultivators was eating and drinking, clearly, they were a bit drunk. As for the woman who screamed she was a waitress who was serving them. The Cultivators were eyeing her body up and down and smiled when they glanced at her curves.

One of them had even begun grabbing at her clothing in a lustful manner as the others laughed. Seeing this Ye Men along with the other's couldn't help but frown. Another waitress who saw what they were doing spoke up.

"Please stop it! If you cause any more trouble well have you removed." Hearing her one of the Cultivators scoffed and looked at her.

"Shut up! We're just admiring the wonderful service after all. You should be happy!" Taking a look at the waitress who spoke up he began to grin. She looked even better than the one who had originally been serving them.

"Speaking of service you are not too bad yourself. How about you join me tonight?" It only took him a second before he reached out his arm grabbing her and pulling her closer.

"What are you doing!" Yelling at him she tried to pull away but it was futile. A mortal could never escape a Cultivator's grasp no matter how weak they are. Seeing this Ye Men's face turned grim as he sat up.

"That kind of behavior is unforgivable!" He was angered seeing such a display however the moment he stood up Lai Mai grabbed his arm.

"Senior Brother don't! They from the Cresent Saber Sect plus their cultivation is equal to yours!" There were five of them in total, the two causing the most trouble were at the border of the Second Stage of the Spirit Profound Realm. As for the rest who were drinking and laughing at the scene they were at the peak of the True Profound Realm.

If Ye Men went over there he would be overwhelmed even if Lai Mai and Feng Mu helped him. Noticing this Ye Men grit his teeth. Seeing this scene as he took another bite of his apple Lin Tao glanced around.

There were plenty of Cultivators here however none of them helped. Some of them glanced over with slight looks of pity while others ignored the scene altogether and continued talking amongst themselves like nothing was happening. Even the other staff of the restaurant could only look on and shake their heads.

All of them feared the Cresent Saber Sect, if Lin Tao remembered correctly it was considered the third strongest sect in the Grand Asura Nation. In fact, it could almost tie for second place. This scene continued to play out as Ye Men forced himself to sit down. However, his glare remained on the Cultivators from the Cresent Saber Sect.

Finishing the apple he was eating, Lin Tao reached for another but didn't bite into it. Looking over the table were the Cresent Saber Disciples where he saw they were getting even more brazen.

'I really am too soft for my own good.' As he thought that he stood up. When Feng Mu and Lai Mai saw this, they could already tell Lin Tao was going to get involved.

They wanted to dissuade him but he ignored their words. Tossing the apple in his hand up and down he locked onto the Cresent Saber Disciple that was still messing with the first waitress.

"Aha! Girl, you should be a bit more grateful. Sleeping with Jin Li is the greatest honor you will achieve in this life. It might even help you become a Cultivator." One of the Cresent Saber Disciples laughed while saying this continuing to drink.

What happened next only took a few seconds. Tossing the apple with enough force to cause it to break apart it hit Jin Li in the back of the head. Being unprepared he had practically no Profound Energy protecting his body. His head was sent flying forward slamming face-first into a plate of food.

His grip on the waitress was loosened allowing her to quickly move away. Immediately the laughter of the Cresent Saber Disciples stopped. At the same time, everyone in the restaurant went silent.

The waitress looked toward's Lin Tao seeing he had thrown the apple with a clear look of thanks in her eyes.

"It looks like the Cresent Saber Sect is really on a decline. If they're letting trash like you in I can't imagine it'll keep its place as the third strongest sect for long." His words made every dinner take a deep breath.

"Who has the balls!" Jin Li immediately stood up as his Profound Energy ruptured. The oppressive feeling of a Peak Second Stage Spirit Profound Realm Cultivator instantly engulfed the seventy meters of space this restaurant had.

His killing intent was clear and made everyone even Ye Men who was of equal Cultivation shiver to their bones. The only one who standing there as if it was another day was Lin Tao. Seeing the smile on his face Jin Li suddenly let out a crude laugh.

"Good! Since you wanted to play the White Knight at the cost of your life... You can die a fool!" With no other word's he rushed towards Lin Tao. He felt he had no cultivation but still he struck out at him with over thirty percent of his strength.

When the other Cresent Saber Disciple's saw this, they let out a sneered. This idiotic mortal was going to get what was coming to him. He should have stayed out of their way.

As Jin Li's fist came flying at Lin Tao some people turned away while others watched on in pity. The waitresses Lin Tao helped closed their eyes and ears not wanting to view the impact. Yet after a few seconds nothing happened.

Opening their eyes they looked on at a scene that seemed impossible. Their wide-eyed expressions as their mouths were left open were replicated across many Cultivators watching from the sidelines. Jin Li's fist trembled as he stared at Lin Tao dumbfounded.

"He caught it?"

"That's impossible Jin Li was using a significant amount of Profound Energy!"

"Even a Peak True Profound Realm Cultivator would have his arm bones shattered if he didn't defend himself properly!" Each Cultivation Realm had milestones of potential power.

The Elementary Profound Realm gave one the ability to knock over or even destroy the sturdiest of trees.

At the Nascent Profound Realm, one could make an entire building crumble to the ground by having their Profound Energy mixed with their attacks. So one could imagine what a True Profound Realm Cultivator could do.

As for a Spirit Profound Realm Cultivator? Their strength went even further beyond that reaching the realm of putting entire city blocks in danger if their fights got serious enough. And that was without even going all out!

Yet Lin Tao had caught a blow from such a person with a single hand without exerting any Profound Energy? It seemed impossible, his body would have to be harder than steel to do that! Of course, none of them knew about Lin Tao defeating the Yin-Yang Snakes with his physical prowess alone.

"You-" Jin Li was about to say something but before he could finish he felt Lin Tao pull him closer. His hand was locked in Lin Tao's grip as Lin Tao let loose an attack of his own. The blow struck him square in his stomach causing him to feel a tremor through his body. But Lin Tao didn't stop there.

Lin Tao struck Jin Li two more time's in the same place lifting his body off the ground as all the air escaped his lungs. Afterward, he twisted Lin Tao's arm moving his entire body upside down, and kicked him his side. Like a doll, he was sent flying dozens of feet before crashing into a table.

Dishes and drinks were sent flying everywhere as he hit the ground. Seeing this Feng Mu who had always had a weird view when it came to Lin Tao was left mind muddled. He could barely look towards Lai Mai as he asked him something.

"Did you know he was so strong?" Hearing him Lai Mai absent-mindedly shook his head. Defeating that Profound Beast told him that Lin Tao was strong. However, he never imagined it would be like this. He wasn't even using his weapon!

Getting up on his knee's Jin Li felt a burning sensation in his intestines. His Profound Energy was a mess as he scowled at Lin Tao as he heard him say something.

"You know they say you can't turn trash into treasure. But looking at you know, I'm thinking I might be an artist." Lin Tao taunted Jin Li referring to how he was covered in food. All the different colors stained his clothes making him look like modern art.

"Bastard… I'll kill you!" Jin Li let out a savage roar as the Spatial Ring on his finger flashed. Appearing in his hand was a saber. It was made of a black metal with its handle being wrapped in a purple cloth. It gave off a dark lustrous shine as Jin Li's Profound Aura intensified.

As the Cultivators watched, their shock increased when they saw Jin Li's weapon.

"That's a True Profound Weapon!"

"It's of a high grade too!"

With a weapon like that Jin Li's strength would rise sharply. How was Lin Tao going to deal with this? Lai Mai thought that as he saw Lin Tao still wasn't pulling out Ruyi Bang.

"You should feel happy! You'll die to my Night Piercing Blade!" Jin Li rushed to his feet and charged once again. Using even more of his strength this time he refused to believe Lin Tao could stop this attack!

He slashed down towards Lin Tao's neck, the latter of which quickly held up his arm. He was going to try and block a True Profound Weapon with his arm?

No one believed this was possible. Even if Lin Tao was wearing armor it clearly had no Profound Energy and looked worn. Even if he could hide his own cultivation, hiding his armors would be too much.

"I'll take your arm!" Jin Li yelled as he followed through, however one again Lin Tao moved. Angling his arm, Jin Li's Night Piercing Blade scraped against his armor. However, it did not go through! The strike was deflected!

'As if a True Profound Weapon could cut through armor like this.' Although Lin Tao didn't know anything about this armor, Sun Wukong wore it. That alone told him of its worth, even if it was old and worn.

Jin Li's Profound Energy impacted the ground next to Lin Tao ripping through the floor leaving a massive gash twenty feet long in the floor. Jin Li was in disbelief however he recovered faster than before. Lin Tao quickly struck at his face however Jin Li was able to dodge.

'Too slow!' Seeing he had dodged Lin Tao's attack Jin Li was feeling confident. He could beat this bastard! However just as he was about to launch a counter-attack he felt something wrap around his leg. Looking down he saw it was a tail!

Lin Tao smiled as his tail pulled at Jin Li's leg. It immediately made him lose his balance and fall. As this happened Lin Tao raised his right leg nearly a hundred eighty degrees. Jin Li's eyes flashed as he quickly guarded himself using his Profound Energy and his weapon.

Like an arrow, Lin Tao's foot came crashing down. The impact alone caused Jin Li's arms to shake and quiver. As his back slammed into the floor it cracked creating a web-like pattern spreading for five meters. The floor collapsed in on itself as Jin Li sank into it coughing up blood.

At this stage, the other Cresent Saber Sect Disciples were ready to move. However just as they stood up they froze. They stared at Lin Tao and fear began to well up in their hearts. This guy was just too strange. They were all trained in the ways of the blade. Even if Jin Li was angry he was still one of the top Outer Sect Disciples.

Yet Lin Tao dismantled his attack in mere seconds, not only that but that tail of his was so strange. No one had ever seen something like it. At this moment his foot was pressing down on Jin Li's Night Piercing Blade as his arms struggled to hold.

The scene of a Spirit Profound Realm Cultivator being suppressed with a single leg… It was too insane to believe!

But soon something even crazier happened. Everyone began to hear the sound of cracking radiating from Jin Li's weapon.

"No way…"

"Impossible!"

"Huh…" Jin Li stared at his Piercing Night Blade as cracks began to form where Lin Tao was stepping. His arm's were pressed back as the weight on Lin Tao's foot grew. Jin Li's mind could hardly process what was happening as the blade finally broke. Despite the short distance Lin Tao's leg was like a boulder.

His Profound Energy was already a mess meaning it was like paper against Lin Tao. On impact Jin Li's ribs cracked and organs shuffled causing immense pain to shoot through his body. Blood erupted from his mouth as he felt his consciousness slip away. Just like that Jin Li was defeated.

Looking down at him Lin Tao smirked. He didn't know why but a strange feeling was travelling through his body. It was the same excitement he felt when he fought all of those Cultivators after leaving Sun Wukong's cave.

It was as if this body craved battle, it enjoyed exerting strength and Lin Tao felt even when he fought he was almost moving autonomously. With all of this combined he couldn't help but smirk and when he did everyone around looked at him like he was a demon.

Who the hell was this guy?
