When the two Armies finally stood face to face, the Generals of both sides glanced at one another, and then when the flags unfolded in the air, the soldiers, like a tide, charged forward.
In this vast field, more than a hundred thousand troops slaughtered each other in earnest. There were indeed no schemes to speak of, with perhaps only the varying formations of flags waving overhead being the extent of the Generals' tactical play.
Although Peter Brown was part of the rear guard, facing such a battle, he could hardly afford to rush forward late. Following the surge of people in front, Peter had no choice but to charge as well.
Charging along with everyone, Peter carefully observed the situation on the battlefield.
