Midnight Show

Eun Woo went down to the living room where Dhruv was already present. The first thing Eun Woo said, "Can we talk?" Dhruv nodded and beckoned him to sit.

Eun Woo sat down infront of him and his legs folded with his palms resting on his thighs,"Uhm... Kaya.." Dhruv as saw his hesitation said,"Come to the point." Eun Woo nodded and asked,"Is she... anyhow a designer?" Dhruv laughed and said indifferently, "No...she just help Neel sometimes."

His answer didn't seem so pleased to Eun Woo which causes a frown between his brows,"But her styles,strokes, designs, colour coordinations and all, just look so quirky and professional. Are you sure?" Dhruv nodded in yes with a straight face.

After few moments, Dhruv said while placing his chin on interwined fingers of his hands with his arms resting on his thighs, "Why didn't you ask her?" Hearing his words, Eun Woo's eyes flashed with the scene of a girl who was telling him, 'Go away and don't come in my sight.' Eun Woo rolled his eyes and said,"She is a bit infuriated today." Dhruv nodded while looked like immersed in some thought.

They both were sitting and talking to each other like they were having a business meeting. Who does this while talking to friends of friends? But currently, Dhruv and Eun Woo were doing this!!

Eun Woo asked him again,"What should i do to calm her down?"

"You must have bothered her, that's why you are thrown out here. Stay away from her for a while and don't come in her sight at least till evening." Dhruv said with a stolid expression on his face as a matter-of- fact.

.....'thrown out here' made Eun Woo's face twitched. Eun Woo didn't said much after this because what could he say as he was really thrown out.

But what at he was doing now was just talking to himself, 'Aren't they both are similar?'.....Looking at Dhruv who was busy in reading a book, Eun Woo added to his thoughts, 'What is it about her that they both are hiding?' His interest about her piqued as he doubted that Dhruv is also hiding something.

Feeling gaze of a pair of eyes, Dhruv looked at him questioningly,"Anything else?" Eun Woo shook his head,"Nothing!!" Then he left the living room.

Later that night, they all except Kaya had their dinner and Kaya neither let someone one enter her room nor herself left the room for the whole day. Su Yeon and Dhruv also tried to talk to her, but it was all in vain as she shoeed them away also.

Whenever she worked, she got so immersed in it that she didn't even like someone to sit around her. She got nettled when someone is wandering around her while she was working.

It was around 12'o clock in night, Ha Won came down to Kitchen to eat something as he has a habit of eating midnight snacks. He saw Eun Woo was sitting on dining table and was writing something on a notepad.

Ha Won went near him and he was just sitting on the chair beside Eun Woo when he heard the hoarse voice, "Don't sit here. Take whatever you wanna eat and go away." Waaa!! Isn't Eun Woo himself is similar to Kaya instead of Dhruv who said those lines of Kaya to Eun Woo just because he knew her well. They are best friends after all.

Ha Won was hanging in the air in almost chair sitting position, he twitched his mouth in anger and bit his lower lip, finally he sat down after considering Eun Woo's heard words unheard.

"The time you spend peeping into my life, you should invest it in your own business."

These catty words of Eun Woo which were spoken in order to insult Ha Won fell on his deaf ears. "Aishh!!!! I think we didn't feed proper amount of sweets when you were young that's why your mouth always spits hot bitter spices." Ha Won said with a contrition on his face.

Eun Woo was ignoring him like he was ignored in the morning. He surely was not following her tactics but it is his usual self when he is working. Ha Won cupped his own face with his elbows resting on table, his eyes sparkled with mischief, 'Hehe' He grinned inwardly 'You....What do your think of yourself? Let me show you my sugar coated bullets.' He contemplated in his mind.

"My lovely Brother, why are you sitting here? Go to your room." These were his extra sweet words that he said to Eun Woo who didn't even bother to raise a brow because he knew well what Ha Won was trying to do so that he could fall in his trap. But if there would be anyone else, he must be getting diabetic on his words.

"Tsk...Tsk....Kaya threw you out."....He momentarily looked at Eun Woo who got a frown in between his brows and he stopped writing. "I mean to say that our Eun Woo is thrown out of his own room.....Wow....she is so amazing.....she threw 'YOU' out. Ahhhh!! Now i get it you are scared, hmm that's why...But you can come in our room or living room..."

Eun Woo placed his fountain pen on the notepad silently and looked up at Ha Won with a pleasant smile which make his eyes crinkled from the edges,"Aren't we supposed to respect others' choices? And I think you have forgotten this but we were taught to not disturb someone while working."

He again picked his fountain pen starting writing but something clicked his mind which make his lips curled up from one side "Also, if you think I'm scared then i would love to scare from her. You should also find someone who can scare you otherwise you will end up in peeping into others life with your no life at all."

Wait!!! Why Eun Woo wanted to be scared from her? This was the same thought in his mind which he himself had no answer.

Ha Won was dumbstruck at this moment, like how his sugar coated bullets hitted himself at the end. He was still in shock when he heard a high pitched soft voice, "Buddy, what are you doing here? I messaged you hundred times. Why aren't you coming up? We decided in the morning to go to terrace tonight. You forgot? Bad memory, hnn?!!"

They both looked up and saw Kaya was coming towards with them. She had worn a light blue plain tee with navy blue night pyjamas and her long black hair were tied in high bun. She came to Eun Woo, took his pen out of his hand, closed his notepad and picked his notepad and pen in her one hand while held Eun Woo's wrist with other hand and pulled him to walk behind her.

Eun Woo was so surprised and too lost in her black eyes which were shining in the dim room light and moonlight which was coming from the window was making her glowy face more bright and angelic. All of this was so mesmerizing to him that he was losing himself and his surrounding, he didn't realise when Kaya came near him and held his wrist.

He came to his senses when she pulled him to walk. He smiled so brightly and followed her quietly.

Meanwhile, there was someone else was also sitting on dining table beside Eun Woo, right.... Ha Won whose presence was treated like thin air. He was looking at them with his mouth agape and popped eyes.

Kaya had just walked a few steps with Eun Woo behind him when she stopped making Eun Woo also halt at his footsteps and looked at Ha Won with a big fake smile which was looking as real as it is genuine and with those doe eyes, "Oh!! I didn't notice you were also there. Shouldn't you be taking rest at this time after doing you sooo.. much important works. Wait... are you??"

"Tsk...Tsk...We both will talk to Dhruv and Dong Hwa to not throw you out at this time, living room is not so comfortable. I know it gets little noisy with you around but still they should not do this." She made a doleful look and continued,"Sleep tight!!! Wish you a good living room night sleep."

Ha Won was dumbstruck but somehow he managed to speak,"I'm here to eat some snacks...I'm not thrown out... nobody can even dare." And the part of being noisy, it was true. They all heard the voices from his room yesterday night, 'Stop snoring Ha Won... I will make you sleep outside.' So it was true.

Kaya again smiled and said,"My bad!!! But you weren't eating any snacks that's why I misunderstood...Enjoy your snacks. Bbye!!"

During all this, Eun Woo was silent and giggling standing behind Kaya while looking at Kaya in amusement who was making Ha Won miserable. Kaya didn't left his wrist even for a while, she pulled again Eun Woo to walk and they both went to their room.

Meanwhile, Ha Won was watching them going, he muttered to himself,"What was it?? Sh...she is more cruel than this Eun Woo. Do they really have no mercy for nice and gentle people like me." He did a gesture of wiping his fake tears with his lips turned downwards.

He turned back and went to kitchen while rubbing back of his head. "Och!!! My snacks....you will not decieve me."

"Heck!!! What a midnight show." Ha Won said while eating his snacks and climbing stairs to his room.

Both Kaya and Eun Woo enter their room. Kaya left his wrist right at the moment and placed that notepad and pen on the cabinet and went over to her bed when she realised a pull which make her back bump into Eun Woo's chest. She tried to move away but he held her shoulders so tightly that she couldn't.

He asked in low whispering hoarse voice,"Why did you lied? What was it?" His words make Kaya question to herself, 'Why did i lied?' She was not able to answer her questions which was making her confused and confusion lead to anxiety. It always become more miserable for her when she didn't get her answers.

She again listened his hypnotizing voice which made her anxiety fade away into air and his body scent was making her weak. Her body wants to give up in those arms but she was holding herself so tight.

Somehow Kaya gained the courage to push him back and said while her back was facing him, "I only have few people in my life with whom i talk. You are one of those people. Also with you, i've got your friends; they never make me feel uncomfortable. Its all you. May be that's why i lied to not let him mess with you again." She was not lying at that moment. Their were very few people in her life with whom she talks otherwise she didn't even bother to look at others.

Eun Woo went close to her, turned her to face him by holding her shoulders and made her sit down on bed while himself kneel down infront of her. She looked up in his soul sucking green hazel eyes with her black transparent eyes.

"If you have chosen me in those few people, then i will make sure to never leave your side. No matter wherever you are, you will always have my back. You can always count on me."

Kaya was in daze, she couldn't utter a single words as she was touched and lost by the sincerity in his eyes and his assuring smile which was making herself vulnerable and impuissant. She just nodded to him.

Then he asked,"You wanna eat something? You didn't have anything since breakfast."

Kaya blinked her eyes like she has woke up from a deep slumber, that deep slumber was nothing other than the look of his eyes.

She got up while moved to the window to take some fresh air and calm down her racing heart, leaving Eun Woo kneeling on the floor. "No...No! I don't feel like to eat anything now."

Eun Woo rubbed back of his head and smiled to her. "Tell me when you feel to eat." Kaya also smiled back and get back to the 'whatever' she was doing. While Eun Woo took a bath and drifted to sleep.

He didn't said much after because from the morning events it became crystal clear to him that like him she also don't like people to hum around while she is working but the only difference was that she was more harsh on people than him.

So being an observant person he didn't said much, but "Good night!! Sleep as early as possible!!"

She just made a thumbs up with her head dugged in her laptop.
