Chapter-14

He slowly bent down and picked up the box from the ground.

"Hello, Little Black Box..." Lucian spoke as he looked at the box carefully and noticed a small triangle figure over it.

On the other side of the box was a sticky substance, that was holding it on the table.

"Appraisal..." Lucian immediately used his skill upto the box.

[Description: A secret box, That can only be unlocked with a certain key. If tried to open forcefully all the things inside the box will be destroyed.]

"Okay... Where is that key ? Guess... You can't tell me that huh ?" Lucian asked with a Confused expression as he went back to the bed and started eating again while observing the box.

After finishing his food, Lucian picked up the empty plates and placed them outside of the room.

Suddenly, He noticed the same little girl coming to pick up the plates, whom Lucian met last night.

"Hello..." The girl spoke as she immediately bent down and picked up the plates.

But, as she was bending down, Lucian noticed a necklace around her neck.

The necklace was made out of an iron chain and it had a small stick like thing in the middle, that was shaped like a triangle.

As soon as Lucian looked at the necklace, He understood that it was the key to the box.

"Umm... Excuse me..." Lucian spoke.

"Yes...?" The little beast girl asked with a Confused expression.

"That necklace, Would you be willing to sell it to me for 10 coppers ?" Lucian asked with a smile as he immediately took out ten coppers from his pocket.

'I am putting money on it... But, if this Didn't turn out to be the key, then my money will be wasted.' Lucian thought as he looked at the girl.

"15 coppers..." The girl spoke with a serious expression.

"Ah... I changed my mind. I am not buying it..." Lucian spoke.

"N-No... Deal, Deal. Here." The girl spoke as she immediately took off the necklace and gave it to Anon.

Anon gave her the coppers and spoke, "You are still new at this game of Bargain, Kid."

'When I was in college, I lived a miserable life... So, the art of bargaining is something, that I mastered with time.' Lucian thought with a smile.

Lucian closed the gates and immediately went to the bed. He then picked up the black box and inserted the key into the triangular keyhole.

The key was correct as it fitted perfectly into the keyhole.

"So, What ? Why isn't it opening ?" Lucian thought as he looked at the black box from every side.

"Should I rotate it ?" Lucian asked as he rotated the key towards the right side.

*Click*

Suddenly, A heavy clicking sound came from the inside of the box and it opened up.

As soon as the box was opened... A vintage pocket watch dropped down on the bed.

"What is this ?" Lucian asked as he immediately picked up the watch and looked at it carefully.

The watch looked really old as it had several small drawings of soldiers fighting over it's cover.

Lucian immediately clicked on the button and opened the clock's cover.

As soon as he opened the cover, He saw that the time in the watch was 12:00 and there was no second hand, Only minute hand and Hour hand.

"What a wierd clock..." Lucian spoke as he immediately started fixing the time into the clock but as soon as he corrected the time... The hour and minute hand went back to 12:00.

"Wasted my money and time on this stupid watch..." Lucian spoke as he immediately stood up from his bed.
