Vomiting Blood

"Thank you, Young Master." Guan Tong was stunned. Guan Tong grinned and said happily. When did Lu Han become so kind?

At night, the Old Madam brought over the medicine as usual. Then, she watched Guan Tong feed the herbal mixture to Lu Han. Guan Tong sighed in her heart. Although her acupuncture could cure the injury, it was not a long-term solution.

"Tongtong, take good care of Han'er. I'll leave you two be for now." the Old Madam said to Guan Tong with a smile.

"Grandmother, please walk carefully on your way back." Guan Tong did not want the Old Madam to stay, so she bid her farewell to Old Madam.

Lu Han was already covered in sweat from pretending, so Guan Tong hurriedly started her acupuncture session. "Bear with it."

"Okay." Lu Han said obediently. After Guan Tong started her session, not only did Lu Han sweat profusely but she was also covered in sweat. Even her clothes were drenched, and the bones on her back were showing through her clothes.

"Ugh!" At this moment, an accident happened. Lu Han had spat out a mouthful of black blood. 

"Lu Han, what happened?" Guan Tong rushed forward.

"You lass, are you trying to kill me?" He jokingly said so. It was rare for Lu Han to have the mood to joke in moments like this.

"Don't worry. I won't let anything happen to you." Guan Tong hurriedly applied the acupuncture needles on Lu Han. Guan Tong's words were simple. After all, Lu Han was her so-called patient. But who would know that these words would strike a heavy blow to Lu Han's heart? He thought about the person who said these words to him last time. It seemed to be his mother. As he thought of this, Lu Han lost consciousness.

"Uncle Tang, go and get Doctor Han over here as soon as possible!" Guan Tong shouted to the outside of the chamber.

Uncle Tang was extremely anxious when he saw Lu Han vomiting blood, so he quickly brought Doctor Han to their chamber.

"Young Master! Madam. What is this..." According to Doctor Han's thoughts, with Guan Tong around, Lu Han did not need to see him anymore, but what on earth happened today?

"Old Madam, don't worry. Just now, it was because…" Doctor Han was about to mention the acupuncture when he received Guan Tong's gaze. Doctor Han was an intelligent person, and he understood what her gaze meant.

When the Old Madam heard this, she was relieved. Fortunately, nothing happened to her precious grandson. "Do you mean that Han'er is getting better?"

"Logically speaking, this also depends on the Young Master's will to survive." When the Old Madam heard Doctor Han's words, her expression dimmed again. Ever since that incident, she had been depressed. She was afraid that Lu Han wouldn't wake up. How could she live if he didn't?

Liu Juan was delighted when she saw Lu Han vomit. Lu Han looked like he was about to die, but who knew it was the other way around. It seemed that her plans had to be brought ahead. She could not let Lu Han wake up from this state. What was wrong with the younger sibling's family? The Old Madam had always insisted that someone from the elder family be in charge of everything around here.

Guan Tong wanted to cry when she heard the Old Madam's question. It had only been a few days, and she was already expected to get pregnant. Guan Tong was not a broodmare. She couldn't just get pregnant and give birth to an heir whenever she wished. Much worse, Lu Han and Guan Tong were anything but husband and wife. She didn't see how there was a chance for her to get pregnant. 

Doctor Han was stunned. He did not expect the Old Madam to ask this question to Guan Tong. He knew that the Old Madam was anxious, so he tried to comfort her. "Old Madam, don't you worry. It's only been a few days."

"Yes, that's true." The Old Madam suppressed her anxious thoughts.

"Tongtong, you have to work harder." The Old Madam patted Guan Tong's hand to encourage her. Guan Tong wanted to cry, but she couldn't. This matter was not something that she could not achieve from her hard work alone. "Okay, Grandmother, I understand."

Lu Han, who was in bed, had already woken up. He had heard the conversation between Guan Tong and the Old Madam. When he thought of Guan Tong's distressed face, Lu Han wanted to laugh, but he could not expose himself yet and only managed to hold his laughter in.

"Mother, let's go back. Since Han'er's condition has improved, we should leave the couple alone." Liu Juan's words hit the Old Madam's heart.

"Madam, the Young Master is fine now. I suppose I will leave now, too." Doctor Han said to Guan Tong.
