Chapter Eleven

Xing opened his eyes slowly after falling into unconsciousness at spring village. His lips looked pale, and his eyes seemed brighter than ever because of the tears trying to escape from his eyeball. His body was still shaking because of weakness.

His eyes roamed the surrounding, and it looked familiar, he recalled that he was now In Lin Xiu ice chamber inside Lin Xiu bedroom, he looked further into the dark corner and was able to get a glimpse of Lin Xiu, he seemed to be soaked in water and was rather breathing quite slowly.

Lin Xiu back had a strange mark that tried to spread around his back, but somehow it was being suppressed by Lin Xiu ice flames.

Shocked, Chao Xing stood up to see more, he rushed to Lin Xiu and tried touching the mark. Surprisingly Lin Xiu stopped his hand from going further even though Lin's eyes were both closed.

"Lin Xiu, what happened to your back?why do you look so ILL and pale?" Chao Xing asked curiously, not taking his eyes off the spreading mark.

"It's nothing to worry about, how do you feel?" Does your wound still hurt?" Lin asked.

"Wound? I don't have any injury!" Xing said out load, but then it all flooded back to his memories.

Xing felt sad, weak, useless and helpless at the moment. He wanted to cry, but it couldn't change the fact that he's entire family and neighborhood were killed and was now a puppet to its master. What broke his heart was his sister didn't recall his face anymore.

"I'm much better now, thanks for healing me up, I wouldn't have survived if it weren't for you."

"Hmm" Lin Xiu nodded and came out of the water naked, Xing found himself blushing and turned his face away.

"You will be staying here until I deal with spring village puppet master, it's no safe for me to take you back anymore"

"Talking about returning, I want you to take me in as a disciple of yours. Just then when I saw all the villagers I grew up with as zombies, they couldn't recognize who I was any more especially my family. My sister Sui He didn't recognize me and rather attacked us, I felt useless, weak, sad and confused yet I could do nothing. If only I stayed back at spring village perhaps I would have...." Xing was cut off by Lin Xiu

"You would have done nothing, you'd probably be dead already and already a zombie like the others" Lin Xiu said, already dressed up and now inhaling and sipping his tea.

"Lin Xiu, I know am arrogant and I'm quite handsome too, but I want to avenge my friends and family. Master Lin Xiu please take me in as your disciple" Xing spoke with sincerely as he went down on his knees and made several bows to Lin Xiu.

Lin Xiu gave Chao Xing a hard glare for a while and dropped the glass of tea on his table, hardly causing a loud noise admist the silence.

"Chao Xing of Spring village, you are not suitable to be my disciple. You will be my Personal servant and must be by my side and serve me at all times," Lin Xiu said with a smirk as he continued drinking his tea.

'I Chao Xing only bowed down to my mother in this lifetime and I ignored my self-esteem and bowed down to a useless bird. Back in the village I eat all sort of birds to my satisfaction and I swear by my dead mother, I Chao Xing will eat Lin Xiu and regain my self-respect' Chao Xing swore inwardly as he bit his lips, staring at Lin Xiu who kept a cold poker face and meditating.

"Fine, I accept…. I'll be your servant but in return, I'll follow you and find out who's behind the catastrophe that happened in Spring village" Xing said but didn't get any response.

"Her highness Qing Yang has come to meet you, my Lord, should I let her in?" A maid said.

"Let her in" Lin instructed

"Phoenix!!" Qing Yang barged in annoyed.

"What have I done to upset her highness this time?" Lin Xiu said, holding a hand fan and fanning himself.

"You left without saying Goodbye at the banquet, I felt bored as Qing Fang kept giving long talk" Qing Yang complained all grumpy about it when her eyes averted to Chao Xing standing in the corner.

Lin Xiu noticing that Qing Yang would say something sarcastic and change the topic.

"The heavenly scrolls were stolen thousands years back, Demon God Run Yu has been too quiet lately, I went to spring village and met all Human there dead and were used as zombie's. I'm guessing whoever did that practiced the blood art to be able to get such a result." Lin Xiu said with seriousness.

"God of water Lord Bai Zhen once said that practicing the blood art has to be done by ten powerful masters. That means whoever practicing it should be one of the powerful masters. Lin Xiu how do we find out who these masters are and why they turned those humans to flesh eating animals." Qing Yang replied.

 "The heavenly king has arrived"

"Qing Fang, what brought you here?" Lin Xiu said as he sat down with his legs folded by the right, waiting for Qing Fang to join them in their conversation.

"What?? Can't I meet an old friend anymore? I came here to ask if you recovered the heavenly artifact from the masked man. I did some investigation, the man seemed to be a demon, but one certain thing is that he's not a demon lord" Qing Fang proclaimed.

Lin Xiu face twisted, a line appeared on between his brows causing a frown.

"The masked man occasionally came and stole something from the heavens, he could go in and out. Whoever, he is superb with swords, his spiritual energy is as strong as mine. I merely hurt him back in the human realm." Lin stated!

As they talked, Xing kept rolling down his eyes and kept hissing as he got tired of sitting.

Qing Fang took notice of Chao Xing. His brows raised, his lips twitched as he looked intensely at Xing with curiously. Xing eyes locked with Qing Fang, and a nut formed in his stomach. Xing averted his gaze and stared at the ceilings.

'Mister Li Fa? What's he doing here? Could he be a poor soul like me?' Xing sighed, feeling bad for Qing Fang

"Hey, Lin Xiu you didn't introduce me to this young man here? He looks quite familiar tho" Qing Fang said, still looking at Xing.

"Brother he's the one that ruined my mood during my birthday banquet, he ruined my dress and still went Scott free" Qing Fang complained.

"No, not that, I've seen this young man somewhere"

"His name is Chao Xing, and he's been here for quite some days, you couldn't probably meet him earlier than this. You most likely thought he's someone else" Lin Xiu stated, "Ah Hah, He's the young man who saved my life after I encountered the peach demon in the human realm." Qing Fang exclaimed, beaming ear to ear.
